I have had these boots for about four years now. They have held up really well. I have no complaints. I walk about ¾ mile into work and my feet stay warm and dry in winter weather. I wear a 6½ or 7 and the 6½ fit fine with light to medium weight socks.

These are beautiful and well made boots. They are just somewhat too narrow so I am returning them for wider boots. I am looking forward to receiving the new size.

Do you have skinny ankles and shins and are tired of trying on booties that flop around and swallow your pants? These are your boots! Really nice fit for low-volume feet and ankles. Style-wise, the leather is smooth, so that reads dressy, but the chunky heel is more casual, so they're middle of the road, business casual. I have another pair of La Canadiennes and I trust the quality is worth the price. And, booties that fit? Priceless.

This is my second pair of Perla boots. I have had the first pair for over four years. I can still wear them but the leather was looking a little peaked. I wear them every day for six months-during fall, winter and early spring. They are so comfortable for walking just about anywhere! These are the only boots you would need on a trip! They are truly waterproof and have made my winters so much more comfortable!

Love these shoes! At first I thought they were too tight (in the footbed and ankle) but they quickly stretched and are now perfect and fit like my other La Canadienne shoes. I live in NYC and they are very comfortable to walk around in.

The boots are comfortable as stated in other reviews. No break-in period for me to wear these boots.

This is a really comfortable boot. Yes, it is a little narrow at the top but I have muscular legs and it worked OK for me. I like it because pants fit beautifully over it -- no bulk. I usually wear a 7.5 in a shoe and an 8 in a boot. The 7.5 was plenty big -- even with a light cashmere sock.

After reading numerous reviews on this boot and trying on other boots (Frye and Harley Davidson brands, I decided to buy this amazing! waterproof boot. The leather is of very high quality, it is adequately padded and very comfortable. Perfect boot for upcoming Nov. trip to NYC. Very slimming on the foot. A classic, timeless boot. Recommend highly.

I buy one pair of boots a year. I wear them every day.La Canadienne's Perla are well made and extremely comfortable. There is that moment when you slide your feet into a new pair of boots~ especially when you order online. It could be bliss or it could be a big "sad". The boots felt like kittens enveloping my feet. I will wear these boots ALL DAY without incident. My only complaint is that they are not exceptionally stylish. They are serviceable and will afford great comfort for the upcoming year.

I love these boots. I was looking for boots that would go from office to dinner without effort. These are those boots. Extremly comfortable and stylish, they go well with slacks and jeans. I think these will easily become my favorite everyday pair.

I love this brand, but these were too wide for my admittedly narrow feet. My heels slipped at every step. They seem a little wider to me than my other La Canadienne boots.

My 4th pair of La Canadienne boots. They are worth every penny! The are comfy and warm as well as most styles can be re-soled so they last for years. They are excellent quality and I wear them everyday...

These boots are just so comfortable and well made. Definitely worth the price as these look like they will last a long time.

In wide the foot was perfect but the ankle/shaft too narrow to zip up all the way. Disappointed because the "shoe" part of the boot looked great and the wide fit felt good. Had to return.

I tried this beautiful boot in every size and width within reason. It does run narrow in the toe and the ankle circumference. I finally tried a wide but it had way to much leather at the toe and wrinkled when walking making it very uncomfortable. I have given up on this boot but I hope you have better luck as to fit. I really wanted these boots!

I love these boots and hope the 10 wide fits (I have never worn a wide). They are beautifully made and waterproof! A great combination. Happy feet, happy winter.

While this boot was well made and fairly comfortable- of course I didn’t wear them out; they are too chunky and not as nice looking as I felt photos showed.

I liked them but the boot was very tight around my ankles and bottom calf so I returned them. I agree with another reviewer that says they could look more feminine.

Very stylish--when polished they look really dressy. They have a little too much give in the sole for me. After a long day on my feet my back hurts a little--not the case with other shoes with the same heel height. They are otherwise comfortable -- good room in the toe box without getting heel slippage--a problem I have w/other shoes in general. They are well made otherwise. I have had them three years. I have replaced the heels once.

I really like this brand - shoes and boots are well made, very good quality. I ordered their boots initially but the wide calf ones were not really wide calf, so I ordered booties. I have tried many brands of booties, these are the only ones that feel very fitted at the top. I have never come across such fitted booties. They have wide width for feet and are super comfortable, but if the width is not carried to the top, what is the point of having wide widths at all! That was my only issue. So women with wider calves these are not for you. Otherwise the booties are comfortable and look good.

This was a very nice boot, but runs a little tight. I have a higher instep and larger ankles. I could not get the boot on and zipped up.

Overall I'm satisfied with these boots and I'll be keeping them. The style is nice and they're comfortable enough that I can wear them all day, even though I'm on my feet all day at work. They work well with a variety of pants, from jeans to slacks. Another reviewer noted that they're narrow at the top. These boots reach a good 4" above my ankle and I think that's the problem. If you have thick calves (as I do), they're probably not going to zip up all the way. I don't mind - the leather seems to be stretching out as I wear them, and the top of the boot is covered up by my pants, so no one sees the zipper anyway. I wear a wide shoe but got these in a medium width. They felt a tad narrow at first, but the leather has stretched out and they're fine now. My biggest disappointment with these is that the inner side of the boots were scuffing within a couple of hours the first time I wore them.

This is a beautiful looking boot and I really, really wanted to love it. But didn't, and they went back. If it felt the way it looks it would have been perfect. For the first time I was disappointed in the leather L.C. used as well as the almost hard, non-cushy foot bed with no room to put a gel liner in. To me the leather felt thin and cheap, the first time I've ever seen that in L.C. Maybe these just slipped through quality control and they're not all like this (based on all the wonderful reviews). As far as style, they are definitely five star.

I'm on my third pair of these and love them because they are so versatile and basic. They won't win many style awards but that's why I love them - just plain old basic shoes! Great in the elements walking around the city. However, the sole of my 2nd pair wore down very quickly - particularly the heel. My first pair I had for 6 years and wore almost every day from Oct-April with original heel. This 2nd pair (bought fall 2011) after one season of wear, is in need of new heels. Quality seems to have gone down at least in the sole.
