I've had several pairs of AE shoes and would strongly recommend them. My favorite are the Del Ray's. They are elegant, very well made business shoes. The craftsmanship is exceptional.

The Delray with its 8 last is a great shoe. One of my favorite dress shoes. It is not as narrow as the Park Avenue 5 last, but it is still narrow and fits a slender foot quite well.

My chili Delrays see weekly use in my shoe rotation. They're versatile enough to go from business/snappy casual through suits. The color is fantastic, works with navys, blues, and greys, in other words, most of my daytime wardrobe. Also consider the very similar LaSalle with slightly raised stitching and heal detail.

That Delray Oxford is magnificent. Its simple, yet classic styling gets many compliments. I liked my brown pair so much that I went out and purchased a black pair as well. I'm an Allen Edmonds customer for life.

This are great shoes, great quality and really worth the price. Allen Edmonds is definitely my place for business shoes moving forward!

The Delray was my first AE shoe. I chose it because their customer service recommended it as I have a high instep. The quality was the first thing that struck me. Previously, I had bought "less quality" shoes such as ECCO and Cole Haan. The fit for this shoe is great. My only complaint is that my left shoe has some weird creasing that is not occuring with the right shoe (and yes, I keep them in shoe trees). Not a huge deal. I think it is just that particular piece of leather bubbled a little or something. I think it adds character to them, so I'm not bothered by it.

Great shoe.. I could have gone a half size smaller but the shoe is great. Both the look and the feel of shoe along with the quality is what you'd expect from AE.

I think that if covid wasn't such a thing the quality control might be a little better but I think they're pumpin' black funeral shoes out at a rate they're havin' a hard time with and rushin' a little bit but great cuatomer service though.

Shoe looks great, manufacturer recommends ordering usual size even though it says the show is long in the toe (it wasn't even remotely longer than regular size 10s), and narrower in the ball. Usually wear a 10W, the E was far too narrow, ordering the 3E see if that works. Overall seems like a well built shoe, mine arrived a bit scuffed and obviously had been returned by someone else. Upper felt very stiff and will definitely take a lot of breaking in, but that is typical of every Allen Edmonds show I have ever purchased.

The edges of the heel facing the sole were "rounded". Appears to have been done by a novice but otherwise a great dress shoe. I have small feet. 6.6 Medium is hard to finds. Fits great.

Other than a couple of very small details, the overall quality was very good. I have found over the years of buying Allen Edmonds shoes, there has been a slight drop in quality attention to details.

As indicated above color on toes very dark compared to rest of shoe. Looking at color on your web site shows a consistent color heel to toe

This is an overall great value for what you get! The ONLY recommendation I have is to offer the combination tap sole for the other colors of shoe besides black in the del ray model. Other than that, ZERO complaints...

I have worn these shoes for many years, and I have enjoyed their simplicity and clean look. They are not overbearing, so they are great for dress slacks, and even great for casual pants and jeans. The soles wore out fairly quickly, so I had to experience the recrafting process.

I recently joined the AE world. I have 2 pairs of Delray (brown and black) and 1 pair of Park Avenue. The black Delray is not the sharpest style, but fits nicely with suits and appropriate for court. Not necessarily something I would wear with jeans or with casual wear. That being said, extremely comfortable (I wear orthotics) and light (compared to some of the British made Goodyear welt shoes). My feet were not tired at the end of a long work day. The brown Delrays can be worn with casual clothes, or for work. Great additions to my wardrobe.

First, I will start with the things that I love about Delray. The look: it is very royal and timeless. The split-toe is detailed precision; the stitching around the top is simple and refined. Delray also has a longer, narrower fit which is great for those of us with a narrow or narrow-ish foot. Now for a few cons: When I step, there is gapping around the ankle. However, that could be contributed to the shoe still being slightly wide on me. My average shoe size is about an 8 C or 8 D, depending on the type of shoe. For Delray I ordered an 8 C and I think I should have gone with a 7.5 D; there is still just over a thumb space at the end and it is not snug around my ankle. Overall, I would strongly recommend this shoe.

I have owned these shoes for five years and they remain my favorite pair of black shoes. They are well made and very handsome, they have stood the test of time. Allen Edmonds are not big on cushion, but these are clearly great shoes. Do not hesitate, they look great with any suit or sports jacket.

Love the fit, feel and look of these shoes. I've never had a pair of quality dress shoes as comfortable as these. Here's the only caveat: About a third of the way down the shoe, from the toe, the leather on top of the shoe has sunk in . There is a bend in the shoe at this point and it has caused the top third of the shoe to "stick up" as opposed to being level with the rest of the shoe. Have always had wooden forms in the shoes when not wearing, so I'm not really sure what's going on.

I purchased a pair of these early last spring and wore them throughout the summer and fall. I love these delrays! (Mine are in chili) While My Park Aves are just a tad better, these are great shoes! My only concern is that the shoe is a bit more narrow than a cap toe such as the Park Ave. Likewise, if I am giving multiple tours of my organization's facilities, the long walks do tend to hurt my small toe. But what are these shoes made for? These are dress shoes, not athletic shoes. I rotate them at least once a week into my rotation of different dress shoes, which is heavily favored in the AE direction. They look great with grey slacks, chinos, and even jeans. These are a swell "goto" shoe, and are in my opinion in the top 5 best looking shoes made by Allen Edmonds.

I own both the brown and the black version. I first purchased the brown ones and over weeks they did stretch and now fit like a glove. I subsequently purchased the black pair but, despite weeks of wear, and having them stretched, they remain hard and hurt are uncomfortable after a few hours. I wear them to the office when I know I will only do desk work... still a good shoe though.

I bought two pairs of Delrays - one in black, the other in chili. Overall, these are a great pair of shoes that I look forward to wearing for years to come. However, after just one day of normal wear, I noticed the finish on the heel edges (where the leather body of the shoe meets the top of the heel) on the chili pair wore off and started to look like someone took a sheet of sandpaper to them. I understand heels need to be touched up periodically, but after just one day of wear? I work in an office environment and I don't consider any part of my day to present other than normal conditions for my shoes (e.g., I'm not walking on construction sites, long distances on the streets of a major city, etc.). I have not had this problem with by black Delrays.
