Great comfy shoes - These are classic, good looking riding boots. I have long feet and very narrow calves so I think I will have them taken in on the top- but other than that they are ridiculously comfortable. They are a very dark brown so they are versatile in what you can wear them with.

Quality - Comfortable from the first wearing. I debated a size 7.5 or an 8. Ordered the 7.5 and am happy with the fit.

Great- with a little alteration - These are terrific, classic boots. They gape a bit at the top of my very narrow calves, and I wanted them snug enough to wear with shorter skirts. I've decided to have them altered because they are so pretty and durable and they feel so great on my feet.

Love at first zip - I have been looking for AGES for a boot that fit my relatively big feet and short legs without making them look stumpy or clownish, and these did so perfectly. They fit the calf nicely; they're incredibly comfortable and look fantastic with everything in my wardrobe. I live in the city and walk everywhere and these shoes provide excellent support all day. Plus, the lining is so soft and comfortable even at the end of the day I don't want to take them off. I highly recommend these boots to anyone who needs a super comfortable and highly functional, attractive, everyday boot.

Great boot - I bought these boots right before a series of educational programs I was running in which I would be standing for 14-16 hours/day. With no break-in time, they stood (pun intended!) the test of time beautifully. I have slightly narrow feet and high arches, and these gave me all the support I could possibly need. Highly recommend.

Beautiful boot, but they are such a dark color that they are nearly black and i wanted boots that are clearly brown.

These are a nice style and comfortable but I didn't like how pronounced the stitching was.

leather is soft however these are narrower than the other pairs of La Canadienne I have & not entirely comfortable right out of the box.

I'm a size 7-12 to 8 and I ordered the 8 regular width and it fits just right. I ordered the wider size in error first and the boot swam on me. Maybe the 7 1/2 would be a little bit of a better fit, more streamlined but I like the slight looseness in the 8. Had been admiring these boots for a while. They are as pictured and so far seem great. Look forward to the waterproof aspect and the boots lasting for years. A bit of an investment but hope worth it!

The La Canadienne Passion boots are clean and simple. The dark brown color is truly a dark brown which is often hard to find. I love that they come in a wide width in the footbed!! The shaft is quite narrow which I also love as they do not add bulk to your legs. I am 5'4" and they came to the perfect spot just below my knees. Unlike other La Canadienne boots in my usual size, they were at least a half size too long, if not a full size so they were returned.

Loved the look and quality of these boots but sadly they're too tight through the calves, couldn't zip them up. I've never worn wide calf boots before but maybe it's time?

I usually wear an 8:5 but exchanged these for an 8 and in suede for a more elegant look

Due to some peculiar bone structure, I have a high arch and wear a 7EE and it's very difficult to find a pair of boots in that width that doesn't also have a wide calf which I don't need, so I am very fond of La Canadienne boots. The Passion is a little tight across the ball of my foot and also little tight over the arch, although not as tight as the Jennifer. I am exchanging them for black leather which I didn't realize was also waterproof and then having them stretched by my shoe repair place. Note to other EE width women - this boot does not have a wide calf.

The leather is extremely high quality, which I would expect from these. They fit a bit smaller when first putting on. I am hopping they will stretch a bit upon wearing.

The foot size felt pretty good. I usually wear an E width. The calf size was too narrow for me. I don't have particularly muscular calves, but I am short so the band was close to my knee. Anyway, I could not zip the last 2 inches of the boot.

Bought these and I am returning. For the price they feel and look cheap. Leather feels like 'pleather" and not terribly comfortable.

So I am confused on what makes these boots so fabulous. I don't feel any memory foam insole. I even checked the insole to see if maybe they were taken out. Nope - they say La Canadienne on them...but definitely not foam support. I still can't understand how they are so highly rated for such an expensive price. #confused

These boots were really pretty and seemed to be well-made, but I didn't love the round toe. I was looking for a waterproof riding boot that would be a little warmer and could weather the cold Chicago winters a little better. These seemed to be close to what I was looking for in quality, but unfortunately didn't love the style so much. The footbed was slightly padded, but there wasn't too much arch support.

Due to neuromas in both feet, I need space in the toe box of all shoes to accommodate a gel cushion. My foot is a size 6 in length, but I usually buy a 6 1/2 for the extra space, especially with boots, because I prefer a slim boot shaft to hug my calves. This boot allowed me to buy a boot that is regular size in the shaft, but the shoe part is a 6 wide - so warms socks and gel cushions fit without squishing my toes and I'm not swimming in boots that are too large in the top part. I'm 5'2" and the boot hits just below my knees. Also, I like plain boots with not a lot of doo-dads (buckles, etc) on them - these are sleek and minimal. Nice looking black suede boots. And very comfortable.

This is a great shoe though the expresso brown color was a bit dull. VERY comfortable but way too wide in the leg so I was sorry to have to send them back. I have very narrow calf’s and have a hard time finding boots that fit. I love this company and own 2 other pairs. One is a bootie and the other is a lace up I got after breaking a fibula. These boots cost a little more but never seem to wear out. I have been wearing my first pair for 9 years and they still look great!

This is a great fitting boot in the foot, but I am so sad that I must return it. I have thicker calves, but the fact that I could not zip the boot all the way up is so disappointing. I ordered a 10 WW for my usually 10.5 WW or 11B foot. The fit in the footbed was amazing, and I think I could have taken a 10W for how they run liberally large (unless W/WW shoes are a little longer in length). But, I simply could not get the zipper up for the last 5 inches. Oh well. They do not look like they are worth their original price. The leather is thinner than I expected, but they look well made enough, in spite of this.

The boots are comfortable just as my other La Canadienne boots. I ordered an 8W to see if it would fit, but I definitely need 8M. Because they were wide, my foot kept sliding forward which isn’t a great feeling while walking. I’m giving it an avg score on style because they sort of remind me of Robin Hood boots. I just couldn’t shake that thought when I looked at them, so I’m passing on trying them in a medium width.

I loved the style and comfort of these boots and would have kept them in spite of their hefty price but could not because of the synthetic lining: I am looking for indoor boots that are leather lined. My body does not handle synthetics well and my feet would get way too hot in these. It would be great if Zappos included info on the lining in the search engine...you used to be able to specify leather insoles, but now even that has disappeared. I'll keep looking...

These lovely boots are well-made with soft leather. They are true to size, and felt wonderful but didn't work for me because there is too much room around the calves, leaving a large gap even with jeans tucked in.
