This is a very nice boot, with beautiful leather uppers. However, these were tight on the foot and the calves. The ad says 15" circumference, but with a 14.5" calf, it still didn't fit. Too bad, I have a suede pair of La Canadiennes that I love, but they fit differently.

Really nice boot, fits as described. The perfect, classic shape, with a nice amount of heel - enough to make your legs look long, not enough to make them less comfortable for walking. I find I’m wearing these all the time, and expect to keep doing so for years thanks to the timeless look. These boots can seem equestrian classic or a little more modern/tough girl depending on the outfit. Highly recommended.

These are the BEST riding boots!!! I had literally purchased seven different pairs and have had no success. Finally I found these, and the moment I took them out of the box I knew they were the ones! They fit great on the calf (not too big, not too small). They don’t look manly like other riding boots, they’re just perfect. Plus, the best part is, they’re waterproof! Highly recommend to everyone!

These boots are fabulous. I have two pairs myself and was so pleased that I bought a pair for each of my daughters for Christmas. We have all found them to be extremely comfortable and warm. These are the first boots that I can wear all day long without foot discomfort. They are great for walking and really are waterproof. They are worth the price!

I wear an 8-1/2, bought an 8-1/2 and they fit just fine. I wear them mostly over pants, and the top isn’t too tight for that. The style also works for me with dresses and skirts. I like the lining, and have worn them with and without socks. No problems with blisters or after walking around all day in them. Overall quite comfortable.

My boots arrived the next day. They are very well made and they fit perfectly. I wore them for an entire day and they did not need to be broken in. I would definitely buy another pair of Canadienne boots!\r\n

I normally wear 6 M, but these came in a bit too big for me. So I called and got an exchange for a 5.5M the next day! The service is impeccable! It's better than shopping at stores; you get to shop any time you want (even at 3 am), and return is similarly easy. With exchange, you don't even have to go to the store! These boots are really made for walking; they are great for cold and wet weather, but look stylish enough you can wear them with skirts. I've been looking for a pair like these for a while, and had to settle for a pair from Eddie Bauer, which are not lined (so not as warm) and have a clunky look. Now I have to give them away. The leather is a bit stiff though. I'm used to the soft leather boots from Cole Haan, but they may soften after a while.

I bought these in a couple of different sizes, as well as some other brands and models (Thanks, Zappos!) to try to find the right cold-weather boots, since my options here in south Florida are limited. I needed something waterproof and comfortable, in the event I had to stay on my feet and walk a lot (we travel to cold climates). I narrowed my choices down to La Canadienne, as they are by far the very most comfortable, warmest, and appear best made of any of the boots. Pricey, but a good investment. I am now torn between this 10w and a 9.5w in the same style. The 10w is slipper comfortable, but there is a lot of extra room. There is a bit excess in the calf, too. That is why I ordered the 9.5w (they were out of the 10 M): and the length is better, but it is narrower (even in a W). The calf fits better in the 9.5w, with a sleeker profile. But, the ankles are more fitted too, and may be uncomfortable and rub after long periods of wear. So, I\'m still torn between the larger slipper comfy and the sleeker fitted sizes, both have incredible support and are really well made. I have athletic calves (but not large), and hate shoes that touch and rub my toes or sides of my feet--both of these are incredibly comfortable. I have impossible feet, nothing is ever really comfortable, but these seem like they will be. The low heel looks tailored and equestrian, so it is dressy enough for skirts as well as jeans. Both have roomy enough calves to wear over jeans.

The styling is plain but the comfort and durability is exceptional. They have a fleece lining that keeps my feet warm without bulk. I am very happy with La Canadienne. I look forward to shopping for more from this company.

These have an elegant classic style, and are very comfortable. They are a bit snug around the calves, but I'm guessing the nice soft leather will stretch a little in time. I'll be able to wear them with thick socks, too. As usual, Zappos service was fabulous and fast, so thanks guys!

These are great boots, even worth the price. This is my second pair. They look good and I can use my orthotics in them and walk long distances, even in NY City.

I love these boots. I searched high and low for a stylish, comfortable, practical, and wet-weather worthy boot to replace the boots that I had worn to death. Only at Zappos did I encounter the La Canadienne brand, and they are fantastic. I wear them constantly, with both skirts and pants, and they are incredibly comfortable. Better yet, they work with my (low profile) orthotics. Since I didn't know what size to order, I made a few mistakes and Zappos was unbelievably helpful in arranging 2 additional shipments, via overnight shipping with no cost to me. Amazing service. You will love these boots. As for fit, you may want to order the "Wide" version if you are normally a medium. Perhaps it was adding my orthotic into the fit, but the wide fits me perfectly.

I have always had a hard time finding a comfortable boot until I found La Canadienne. I am on my feet all day and with these boots it's okay. They look great with a pair of slim jeans tucked in. Great boot and as usual Zappos has great service. Thanks so much!

Love this boot! I was looking for a knee high boot that would look good with skirts, but not have a high heel. This hits the mark. The leather is very nice and was comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow foot and this fit quite well even though it is a medium width.

Another great boot by La Canadienne - The Passion boot is another great waterproof and stylish boot by La Canadienne. It's also comfortable enough to wear all day. I have another pear by this maker which I wear in the aftermath of light snow and then towel off, use a little de-salter on and it's good as new. Their wide boots (D) are a true wide fit.

Searchforboots - Just as the reviews raved, this boot is unbelievably comfortable. I come in from outside and don't bother to take them off. I love the brown; it's dark enough to wear with black. I would/will continue to purchase La Canadienne boots, perhaps exclusively. Big bonus, they are waterproof and although I'm not in knee high snow, I can go out in New England winter and spring, not worrying about the boot. I am a 7.5-8 in shoes and the 7.5 fit perfectly.

La Canadienne's Passion - These boots are wonderful. Great fit, comfort and they are waterproof. I wear them to football games, parks, church, shopping, anywhere. They are timeless, and I will get many years of wear from them. Good quality, great price, would buy again.

La Canadienne's Passion - I love these boots. They are warm and comfortable and look great with jeans. The size 10 I bought feels a bit wide, but I just wear a thicker sock. Great for those cold, wet winter days.

I work in the film industry, and put the miles on my feet...up and down ladders, running around, you name it I do it, 12 to 16 hrs. a day...Keen socks, hands down is the most comfortable sock I have ever owned, it sounds corny, but the total truth...awesome, I've also got a couple pair of their shoes...heaven, really great stuff all around, worth every cent.
