I've had these boots for a year now and boy did they save me! In a big snow and ice storm my bus got stuck on the way home from work and I had to walk the remaining 2 miles home. Unlike the rest of me, my feet stayed warm and dry the entire way! Amazing boots! I'll buy this brand from now on! Worth the money!

I bought these for my wife for Christmas because she needed a dress winter boot that was waterproof. These boots are very stylish and extremely well made. The leather is soft and appears to be of high quality. The inside lining got rave reviews from my wife and she loves how warm they are without the bulk. Her initial impression when she put them on was that they were snug, and considered returning them for a half size bigger. She opted to keep them and after one day they had conformed to her feet and she now claims they are the most comfortable shoes she has ever owned. We've had a lot of snow and ice here since she's started wearing them and the boots appear to hold up very well in the weather. They are waterproof and snow/salt stains wipe away easily. They look brand new except for the wrinkles that form where the leather flexes from walking. I consider them to be a good value, even though they are pricey. We've ordered another pair of La Canadiennes that come up to the knee.

Fabulous. The only boot I could find in Narrow! Perfect fit. Comfortable for a dress boot and I have terrible feet that need support. Can put in my orthotics, too.

I bought a pair of La Canadienne Julietta (almost the same as Julia) boots in 2009 and have walked them all over the continents. Juliettas weren't available, so I got the Julia this time. I have a narrow foot, so I got 8.5 N. Fits well, although I can see how some feel they run narrow. I love the style and the ankle support. And they are waterproof! And they were on sale. Can't wait to wear them.

I'm in love with my boots! I need a dress boot for my work, and because I am in an urban setting, I have to walk slushy city sidewalks a good deal. The Julia is the answer for me. So comfortable, waterproof, and a great looking boot. It has a great classic style.

I love the boots! Extremely comfortable, warm and looks very sharp. The only warning, it runs narrow. Take a size wider!

The cost was way out of my budget but I was sick of spending money on shoes that just don't have quality. I am not disappointed in these boots. They are fabulous and the fit is incredible. The very first day I wore them all day and they were so comfy. No break in time. I will save my money and buy another in this brand.

This boot is terrific. However, I bought it in a 9.5 N and I think that what I need is a 9W, which seems to be sold out. So if there is anyone out there with a 9W who would rather have a 9.5, please let me know and we can arrange a swap.

Loved the boots but they ran too narrow. Ordered a half size bigger hoping but were still too narrow.

A beautiful boot , but it runs very small.

I had been ruminating over these or a pair from Stuart Weitzman. I really didn't want to pay almost $500 for a pair of boots this year. These boots are as beautiful as they look and are true to size. I find it amazing that they are waterproof as well. I did end up putting a gel insole inside since I wanted them to be a little more comfy as I pound the streets of Manhattan. That addition made them perfect.

Most expensive shoes I've ever bought. So far worth it. Had them for a few weeks. Just getting cold out but seem to be very warm. Very comfy, can wear all day.

The Julia boot is lovely. I\'m so pleased to support a product made in Canada. I usually wear a size 4 or 4 1\/2 but with thick socks this boot fits fine. Zappos delivery turnaround time is remarkable! I\'m all set for winter now.

I purchased La Canadienne Julia boots in anticipation of a trip to Canada, knowing that I would need warm, dry boots. I was not disappointed! The boots are true to size, very comfortable, well made and very warm. I wore them for hours in snow and sleet. I am very happy with my purchase!

I bought a pair of dark brown La Canadienne Julia boots in a 9 1/2 narrow last year. They fit me perfectly, I loved them, and they got me through three weeks of walking 10-15 miles per day in Europe without a single blister (I had a pedometer on, so I’m sure). We’re going back to Europe for more of the same this year, and I was hoping to buy the same boots in black. Unfortunately, they weren’t available in narrow, so I gave the 9 1/2 mediums a try. They just arrived, and so far so good. I added a double thick insole, and they seem quite comfortable. I’m quite surprised, because usually mediums are way too large for me… I won’t know for sure about the size for another day or so, but at the moment La Canadienne is my favorite shoe brand in terms of fit, comfort, and style.

Oh, my, gosh. I cannot believe how comfortable these boots are! The leather is soft and luxurious. The style is simple, but sophisticated. The lining is soft like a dream. They go perfectly with work clothes or jeans. These are my second pair of La Canadienne boots I have bought, and I am totally in love with this brand. It is so wonderful they come in EE too, which fits my wide feet perfectly. If you are hesitating because of the price, don’t! They are totally worth every single penny. I guarantee you will feel like a million bucks the whole time you are in them.

I love these comfortable ankle boots. They feel great from the time you put your feet in to the time you take them off. The inside has a lovely lining that feels luxurious to your foot. They fit true to size and when you buff them up a bit they look new again and again.

JULIA IS GORGEOUS & ELEGANT!! These boots are classy, elegant and just plain gorgeous. They are soft leather with a very pretty light fur lining inside. The rubber sole, although on the dainty, feminine side, is just fine for walking in winter conditions and high enough so that snow can't get in if you get caught in a snow storm. They look great with pants, and on a Size 11 Foot. I wear a light sock with them and they fit perfectly. I have long toes and the toe box is perfect. My foot runs to the narrow side of medium and these boots fit great with the light sock. I have them in black and I only wish I could afford them in brown too.

Loving them a year later - OK, they've taken me most of the way through 2 consecutive winter seasons with little sign of wear. They were comfy out of the box, still fit great, still toasty with that narrow, but effective lining. Love the heel height and stability. I have 7.5 E feet and I'm in heaven in these. Have been a worthwhile investment. Love you Zappos!

La Canadienne Julia boots - Fabulous boots! Fits like a glove, soft material on the inside. Very high quality boot.

Simply gorgeous - These boots are not only gorgeous, but are extremely comfortable--the only boot I wear. I have had mine for two years and they STILL look like new! They take a beating in our NH winters and but they still look like they just came out of the box!

Warm and waterproof! This pair fit a little tight in the beginning, a little uncomfortable, but adjusted to my feet eventually. Now I reach for it on wet and chilly days when I still want to look a little sharp. The color is just in that nice dark brown that could be matched with anything for fall and winter. It's not trendsetter, but it should last me for many rainy seasons to come. And that's worth the price for me. Thanks Zappos for bringing the shoes so quick!
