I bought these boots because I wanted an ankle boot with excellent arch support. I had a pair of Dansko ankle boots whose leather was so stiff that it chafed my legs, so I was very happy to find that these boots are made of a very soft leather. The foot area is very comfortable and roomy. My only problem with these boots is that my feet need a lot of support, and since these boots have a 2 inch heel, most of the pressure falls on the ball of my foot. Even if the arch support is excellent, with this style, the pressure isn't on the arch, so that really doesn't help. I found that I would rather go back to the chafing Danskos, because they supported my foot from toe to heel. If you don't have any special foot support needs, I would recommend these boots. They're very stylish and elegant-looking, the leather is wonderfully soft, and overall they are a good boot. But if you need more than average support for your whole foot, you would be better off with another brand (or style, I haven't tried all La Canadiennes, so maybe there's another style that's kinder on the feet).

These boots fit like socks on my feet. I bought one pair in black and another in mocha/espresso. The arch support of these boots is not as great as the sport shoes I have but with extra pads/insoles the problem is solved!

This is a stylish boot. They look great with jeans and slacks. The boot comes in a true narrow which is wonderful The fit is wonderful, the look is great. The comfort not so great. They feel great for the first couple hours of walking, but after than it is painful. If you are looking for a boot to walk in all day, this is not your best choice. I would recommend Munro American Lillian if you need to walk comfortably for long periods of time.

Comfortable stylish warm boot - I bought this boot just in time for my trip holiday cold weather trip. There is a small bump in the leather on the top of the left boot. Unfortunately, there was not another one in my size and I did not have time to do more shopping before my trip. The boot is very comfortable, stylish and looked good with my jeans. The only drawback is the heel is a bit chunkier than I like.

good winter boot - The boots were a little expensive, but they get the job done! I live in Boston and Chicago -- both cities were hit with some snow recently, and the boots gave me good footing in the piles of snow and patches of ice and kept my feet dry in the instances of slush. i don't have a car and walk everywhere I need to go -- I've worn the boots every day for a month, and so far, I'm fairly satisfied with my purchase. However, I'm disappointed with the arch support and cushioning (I put insoles in mine), and I also wish the lining were a little thicker for added warmth.

Cute and soo comfortable! I always have cold feet so I had to try the Julia, which has a soft fleecy liner. (I also tried the Debra, which is a sexier boot with a liner, but the heel was a little too high for winter wear, so I sent them back). The Julia is great - the leather is really soft and it's stylish enough for work or for the weekend.

I have narrow feet and La Canadienne boots normally fit me well. I got these on the recommendations others made at Zappos - however, for my taste, they are very clunky and unattractive. I was surprised since I normally love LC's styling. I returned these boots and am looking for other low heeled boots for winter in Wisconsin.

Cute, but ouch! Everything about this boot was perfect: the look, the feel, the nice, warm lining on the inside, the heel height, etc. However, when I wore them the first day, they were tight (but that's to be expected, right?). However, that evening my left ankle was killing me! I found myself limping around the house. Not fun. Since then I've tried them a few more times and always with the same results. Now, I did break my left ankle a few years ago and I admit that it hasn't been right since. I love everything about these boots, but the pain they cause. I'm going to experiment with some insoles to try to make them more comfortable because it's too late to return them.

Looks nice and the lining is very soft. Unfortunately these are being returned because they run very narrow.

Wore them right out of the box (for several hours) with no problem. Good grip on the soles. Comfortable enough...nice and warm, too. Would prefer some cushioning in the heel, but I'm going to try some gel inserts. Overall, extremely pleased! My second pair of boots from La Canadienne. Can't be beat for walking around in cold/rainy/icy/snowy weather in NYC.

These boots are GREAT! I wore them almost every day last winter, and they still look and feel good. They're VERY warm and dry, extremely comfortable, and stylish. Expensive but worth it.

I had not planned to spend this much on boots, but I am very glad I did. These boots fit very well and are comfortable even when I am on my feet much of the day. The books are sleek in design and look very nice with dress pants. I could not be happier.

Lovely, lovely boots. The leather upper is of very good quality, the lining is warm, slightly fuzzy and just right for winter. The heel is ideal for walking around the city and on cobble stone streets as it isn't too high and of solid, stable shape. The square toe lends the boot a modern appeal. I am a size 11 and these boots fit me very well. They would not be appropriate for a wide foot though but ideal if you have a regular foot width. This is my first pair of La Canadienne boots and next time I need to buy boots I will look to this maker again. Bit pricey but certainly worth it.

After couple of months, the side of the right boot ripped where it joined the sole. Very disappointed. La Canadienne boots I had before this pair lasted years.
