Spend the money - This is the most money I have ever spent on a pair of boots and they were worth every penny. I couldn't be happier or frankly more surprised. They actually live up to my fantasy of a pair of winter boots. Great with jeans or a skirt. They look sexy/classy. They are waterproof and 1 month after wearing them 5 days a week they look great. I sound a little delirious about them and I kind of am. It doesn't feel like your wearing a heel at all. I usually look like I just had surgery when I walk in heels. Not with these boots. These are as comfy as sneakers and my only problem is not having a different pair to wear with everything I own. Buy them.

Definitely worth the money - I just got these today but I walked a good 2 miles in them around the city and I am so amazed at how comfortable they are. It goes to show there IS a boot where you can have style, a moderately high heel, yet they feel like slippers. I did not even have the urge to take them off when I came home (as I do with every other shoe). More than I usually spend but these are worth it because I will be wearing them with everything, all year. I'll probably even be wearing them to bed, LOL. No complaints. I want a pair in every color of the rainbow.

I just received these boots and the minute I opened the box I fell in love. Not only do they look great, flatter your leg and feel comfortable, but at 5'2" they make my legs look long! I am a petite person but the boots hug my legs nicely without a huge gap at the top of the boot. Thanks again to Zappos!!!

Pure comfort - Ladies, these boots are sure worth the price. I spend 10-12 hours a day on my feet and feel like I am wearing slippers. Great look, comfort and price.

Most comfortable boots I own - These boots needed no "breaking in". I am able to wear them all day long and my feet feel like they have been walking on a cloud. They look smart with jeans and skirts/dresses. Zappos rush delivered them for free! Zappos is the best.

Just Great! I received my order within 30 hours even though I opted for the regular, free shipping option. Zappos is truly unbelievable; makes you wonder: how do they do it??? The boots are great; I have them on right now as I write this. I ordered size 11; I have somewhat wide feet and pretty strong calves as well. However, these boots make my calves, ankles and feet look skinny and small. I will be wearing skirts this winter for a change...These boots are a true find; they are extremely comfortable because they are padded and lightweight. No zipper which makes it a little harder to put on but not that a big deal. Expensive, but every penny is worth it.

Very rarely do I totally go crazy over a pair of shoes or boots. I can really like 'em or even love 'em, but this is like OH MY GOD!!! I tell you, grab them while you still can!!! (I’m not getting paid to say this!) But honestly, the other reviewers were right on the money. They are the BEST! First of all: Comfort. Like a dreeeaaam. I was a bit worried about the heel height, but it is NO PROBLEM. I think it has to do with the wedge and that it has a bit of a platform, but it absolutely does not feel like it's as high as it is. And it makes you look tall and slim. Yay! It is NOT chunky looking at all! I'm usually a 6.5, but in boots I often take a size 7. They didn't have a 7 so I had to order a 6.5, and lo and behold they fit beautifully. Slips on really smooth – my calves are average size. Oh, the material, you wouldn’t believe! It’s not your ordinary 'micro' material, its sort of a real smooth, very, very soft texture, and the ridged sole gives you terrific traction. I don’t regret the money. To think I almost lost out on this one. Let's see? What more can I help you with...the comfort, the sizing, I think I covered it all. It is a GREAT boot! Get it, I’m serious.

Best shoes I ever had. Period. I have been wearing these shoes about 4 days a week for the past 5 months and they look like I bought them yesterday. I live in New York, so they have been through snow, mud, salty mush, rain and sunshine, and many hundred of miles. I love shoes and clothes, and enjoy matching different styles to my outfits. These books work with EVERYTHING I own. Plus, I enjoy the extra height which makes me look slimmer. I will have to stop wearing them soon (as summer comes) but will look forward to next Fall when I can wear them again. Heartfelt thanks to the people who made them. And yes, they're expensive, but worth every penny.

Elegant All-Weather Boot - It's been raining endlessly in San Francisco so I succumbed to purchasing a "rain boot." I almost bought the Hunter Wellies, and am so glad they didn't have my size. It'd be like wearing a rubber bucket compared to these. They're incredibly comfortable, fit like a glove and look very street-chic. The only reason they didn't get five stars for looks is because synthetic material just can't by definition rate that way. Otherwise, perfect for a person who refuses to sacrifice fashion to nasty weather.

Gorgeous Boots!! I've been searching for a comfortable, stylish, well-fitting black boot for months; I finally found it with these! The stretch is perfect and fits my 15 1/2 inch calves without being too tight but still giving that slim look! The interior lining of the actual boot part is so soft and comfy and the wedge is the perfect height! I bought these in a seven and these feel just roomy enough to wear a light sock if needed. There is some slight wrinkling at the ankle, but that is due mostly to the fact I have larger calves. These boots are worth every penny! This was my first time dealing with Zappos.com and I could not be happier with the ridiculously quick service and quality products! Thanks Zappos!

These are the best boots ever. I discovered them a high end dept store last year and bought them, paying a third more than the Zappos price. I wore them constantly all winter. They are practical, extremely comfortable, great looking, go with everything and add inches to one's height. They have great traction on the snow and ice and always look brand new despite trudging around in the muck and slush. I wanted a new pair this year but couldn't find them in the stores so I was thrilled when a friend showed me the Zappos web site.

Awesome, stylish, comfortable shoe - The shoe was a half size larger than the other La Canadienne shoes. It was very comfortable and the stretchy microfiber conforms nicely to the calf although for a while there it was almost too tight and my calves are not big. Overall, I love it. It was comfortable from the moment I put it on without even needing a break-in period.

These boots are even better than I expected! They look great with skirts and can be dressed up or down. Even after wearing them in dirty slushy snow, they look perfect. As a teacher, I stand on my feet all day. They are so comfortable!! And while they keep my feet dry and warm while outside, they are not too hot for indoor wear! I wish I had bought them years ago!

Pleased - I love these boots! Very sleek and sexy. I get ton of compliments on them. Only complaint is there's no arch support. Got arch support inserts from drugstore and that seems to do the trick. The boots aren't terribly warm for those cold rainy days, but warm socks do the trick.

Great boots! First of all, I want to say how much I love Zappos. I sent back around four pairs of shoes before I hit on this pair, which turned out to be the keepers. This boots are amazing-- so comfortable, so warm, so elegant (that person down there who said they "looked cheap"-- I beg to disagree, they look great). This brand seems to be a little higher in price compared to other brands on Zappos, but they are worth the money. In the past I have splurged on shoes that cost A LOT more than this-- designer shoes have no endurance and you need to get them resoled within months. I think they're just made for people who get taxis everywhere. La Canadienne, on the other hand, are made for real people, real walkers. They look GREAT (believe me, I am a total fashion slave-- I'm not proud), cost half the amount a designer name brand would cost, and they will go the distance. I am totally sold on this label

GREAT BOOT!!! Really great boot! Totally worth the price. My calves are super narrow and these fit perfectly. Plus, they are super comfortable, which I didn't anticipate. No need for gel insoles in these puppies! The most comfy pair of boots I own.

Practical non-leather and pretty sexy to boot! Fit is great. It bunches a teeny bit around the ankle and was definitely hard to get on because the fabric is snug. No gaping which was the problem with the Galaxy (which I just returned). Looks great with dresses and bootcut jeans fit nicely over them. I’m delighted!

Great Boot - I ordered these boots last night and they arrived this afternoon. I was afraid they would be too narrow or small. I have a 7.5-8 size, broad, foot. The 7.5 fit like a glove! They are easy on and off with stockings or tights. These are very comfortable boots. They will be great dress boots for the holiday season. I love them.

Stylish Smooth Sophistication - I have always worn the more rugged La Canadienne's boots for cold winter terrain. I bought the Gaetana because I needed a higher heel for professional conference presentations, but I cannot wear traditional high heeled boots with comfort. The Gaetana is sleek, sexy, sophisticated, and has the height I wanted and needed to complete mid-calf skirts and wide-legged slack suits. This boot goes really well with black matte fabrics to give a wonderfully slimming and unified stylish look. The wedge heel provides a sturdy base with height without being a true high heel. The slip on style of the boot is user-friendly plus the shoe element in the boot feels sturdy and safe, too. Also, the boot is very light. You can choose to wear heavier knee socks in the colder weather, or just enjoy the overall lightness with nylons on milder weather days. You can easily add a foot pad if you desire a softer platform for your foot. I am a highly satisfied customer!

The Cutest Boot Ever! I read all the reviews before buying this slightly pricey shoe. It was definitely worth all the hype. Surprisingly, the shoe is extremely comfortable and stylish. Money well spent.

Finally! I am so happy to have found a boot that is made for smaller calves. This boot is so flattering because, unlike most I have tried; it actually has a human-sized circumference of the part that fits around your calf. I have tried other boots that fit in the foot, but I could fit 3 of my legs in the upper part. These are so comfortable. Well worth the investment!

Great slender boots - Great boot for someone like me with long skinny feet and slender calves. Great for skirts, quite stable for a wedge boot, I have other La Canadienne wedge boots that I "fall off" of occasionally. They are narrow in the foot and in the leg, so I wouldn't recommend them if you have wide feet or legs. I love that they are lined with microfiber, this means no blisters, ever!
