I have small calves, I got these to be a closer fit than what I can typically find in suede and leather, they rock! They have a great profile, I can easily wear with a skinny jean, they look sleek, although still a bit of room. Super comfy, dress up or good running around boots with jeans.

These boots are IT. My pair lasted years. I love the boots because they fit under pants, look good with skirts/dresses, work well with rain (not just snow), fit my narrow calves, pack oh-so-easily (yeah!), and feel so comfortable. The same size in a Stuart Weitzman leather (not microfiber) boot of similar shape is indistinguishable lengthwise and through the calves, but leaves excess space around the top of my foot and lacks cushion; I wear thin socks over tights or stockings to make up space difference. By contrast, I can wear either tights or thin socks with the Gaetana. Thin sock over tights = maximum capacity. After a hiatus from wear over the summer, the wedge sole just crumbled to pieces last September. I felt like I had lost a good friend, but recognized the opportunity to go boot shopping (must update wardrobe, I guess). It's now January. I've made new friends (see Stuart), but decided this morning to hunt down another tall, weatherproof, microfiber, wedge boot. I'm so glad to know that these boots are still available. Recommend.

I love the look of these boots and they are very comfortable. But the boots looked hideous on me. We were not a match made in heaven, somehow. Will keep trying other Canadienne styles.

Love my La Canadiennes. I had to go down a half size. Super comfy and easy to get on and off.

These boots are very comfortable and look great. I don't have that much trouble getting them on and off, as some reviewers warned. I have yet to test them in very wet conditions.

These are the best boots ever. For me, they are 3 season boots which lasted me 4 years. After one boot's sole came apart, I immediately reordered another pair. They are so comfortable, like wearing super comfortable sneakers. I have skinny thighs and these are the only boots that fit my calves. No problem getting in or out of these boots. Best boots I've ever purchased for comfort, versatility, all weather and fit. Also love the look!

I have worn my La Canadienne Envy Boot for the past 5-6 years and love them. Perfect fit, water repellent, walkable everywhere. Always get compliments on them - even from strangers in the street. After all the years the bottom heel is starting to wear through so I purchased the Gaetana as a replacement. Style and fit very similar (I have skinny calves and they are one of the few boots that work really well with skirts). Still a great boot, still a great footbed...but the platform and wedge are just a little bit higher than I would like for true comfort when walking miles around cities (the wedge went from 2" to 2-3/4" and platform from 1/2" to 3/4". As such...the jury is still out as to whether I will keep them at this price. I wish La Canadienne would offer the Envy boot again.

I have pins in both feet from a double bunionectomy. I have narrow ankles but wide feet, and a high arch. My calves are pretty thin. I have a horrible time getting shoes and send most of them back. I bought these in the 7½. I am normally a 7½ or 8. I think they are very comfortable. I am not sure about the waterproof properties, as it has not rained here in months. They are not that hard to get on and off for me? I am not sure about durability because I just got these.

I bought these boots over 5 years ago and am thinking about buying them again, in case these wear out. They look great - not clunky, great silhouette. They are very comfortable for both my feet and my back and I walk a lot and wear these often. I'm also so pleased to find my size - 5.5 - which was sized dead on. I get lots of compliments too!

Needed a comfortable boot for walking the art fairs and rainy streets that worked well with skirts. These boots were comfortable first time out. No time needed to break in. I had no problem getting these boots on or off.

Best boots for standing all day. My job requires me to be on my feet and these boots are a savior. I wear them nearly every day. No joke. They go with everything. The fit snug in the calves and they haven't lost stretch.

Wow! These boots are so comfortable. You can wear them with skinny jeans, dresses, etc. I would definitely get more, but they are a little pricey. I am not sure if they are truly water resistant because I have not worn them in the rain yet, sometimes it is not wise to take that risk because I read some reviews that mentioned something about soaking through.

These boots are awesome! I love them so much I bought a second pair to have on hand if the first pair ever wears out. You can wear them as a tall boot or fold/scrunch down the micro material to make a funky cute shorter boot. They are very comfortable although one day when I did a lot of walking (a couple of miles plus a museum) while sightseeing with some visiting friends my feet felt a little tired. But for everyday wear, work wear they are all day comfortable. They are fine in all kinds of weather too. I have gotten many compliments. As a relatively petite person I like the little extra height they give me. I usually wear a size 7, sometimes a 7.5 and often go with 7.5 in boots but these fit perfectly in size 7.

I love these boots! I am usual a 6-6 1/2 and kept the 6 1/2. They were a little narrow with socks on and I do not have wide feet. The 6 1/2 was perfect.

First of all, Zappos is so great! I had to try on many boots to get one to fit my narrow heel and that was comfortable! This is pricey but a winner! I love that it's waterproof, sleek, comfortable and easy to wear with anything - thanks for your patience, Zappos! This brand La Canadienne is also a winner for me!

These are the absolute best, most versatile shoes I own (and I own great shoes). In the winter I wear these almost every day to work -- with skirts, with slacks, with jeans. They are stylish and they are a true black. The best part of all -- they are absurdly light. There's no weight to the shoe, and yet they are incredibly sturdy and I can stand and walk in them for hours every day. I've even accidentally been stuck going on a hike in the snow with these shoes on...and they worked. If you travel a lot, you want these shoes: you can walk four hours in them, look great in them, and they weigh nothing.

These are great boots. They are very comfortable and elegant. They are a big tight so they must be worn either with a skirt or with skin tight jeans. Do not wear them without socks, as they will be impossible to take off. I am very happy with the purchase.

I love these boots. They are stylish winter boots that still appropriate during the office. Very comfortable, and easy to walk, even through the snow. I've received many compliments on them.

I love La Canadienne & these boots are part of the reason why. Extremely comfortable & versatile. I often travel with them because they're lightweight & easy to wear with legging & skirts or just with jeans. The wedge is perfect. Like walking on air, even though you're actually on concrete. I can walk for miles in these boots! The only problem I have is that they're kind of hard to pull-off at the end of the day (especially if wearing them barefoot...which I've done). Wear light socks or tights & they'll slip off much easier.

I recently ordered the Gaetana by La Canadienne. It is very comfortable. The bed of the shoe feels very good on my feet. I could wear it for hours and still be comfortable. The shoe is not hard to get off and on, if you push the shaft of the boot down and remove it from the heal. I have large calf muscles and these fit great! I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I am completely stumped how a shoe (boot) with this heel can be so comfortable and not feel like any heel at all. I have had my knee replaced and shy away from heels generally. But I loved the look of these with skirts and plus it is almost impossible to find a well-styled plain boot that is 'skin-tight' fitting around one's calves. (I have looked forever.) The first day I wore them to work, I realized half way through the day that I been running around in them without even noticing I had heels. That just shocked me. I didn't really believe a reviewer who said she taught school standing up in them all day comfortably, but now I absolutely do. As for the skin tight fit? Amazing if you have slim calves and do not need to tuck jeans in. Also, do follow warning of other reviewer--wear stockings or something when you put these on, or they will not ever come off! They do take some effort even with tights/stockings, but so worth it. I also have high-instep, but not an issue at all. Really can't say enough good things about them, and I almost never write a review, let alone go to a website specifically to do so. Enjoy them!

Absolutely loved these shoes, worth every penny! At first I was a little concerned spending a lot on a shoe that's not even leather. But, I gotta tell you, I've been hunting for a stretch show that would hug my skinny legs and not make them look like a pencil in glass. This is the pair of shoes I have always imagined in my dreams. :-) Absolutely perfect fit, comfortable and stylish. As far as sizing goes, I am usually either 7.5 or 8. I bought 8 and it fits very comfortably. However, it feels like 7.5 would have been fine, too.

Awesome! So comfortable. I wear them mostly up with skirts and with pants (either under or over skinny pants) but have discovered that they also look great also rolled down! I wear either a 7 or 7.5 and got these in 7.5 and they are absolutely fine although I think size 7 would maybe have been a tiny bit better but they felt so good I just kept the 7.5 and they are still extremely comfy.

I bought this boot so I could have something to trudge through the elements with but still look a bit stylish and not have to change shoes when I got to work. This boot works very well. I usually wear a 7.5 in heels and went with a 7.5 in the boot - it fit perfectly. I won't be wearing them to a dinner party, but for work they are just fine.
