Nice boot - Nice boot with a good fit at calf and ankle-close fitting so I imagine it won't fit someone with calves bigger than mine-16 inches. It gives a sleek look appropriate for this season's fall clothes. Very hard to get on as there is no zipper...

I wanted to love these as much as I love my other La Canadienne boots made of similar stretchy material with a more standard stacked heel, but the footbed felt a little longer and narrower than my other boots. My wide-ish feet were spilling over the sides of the wedges. Heading back to Zappos. :-(

I had high expectations for this boot. Loved the platform and wedge heel. I have a skinny calf and picked these boots because of stretch fabric. Well not so good. Kinda loose and saggy and just not what I was looking for. Returning.

I loved these boots when I bought them a month ago, comfortable fit, stylish. Now that I have worn them for several times a week for about a month, they start sliding down my leg and bunch up at the ankle. A bit disappointing, especially for the price, that is the reason for 3 stars.

I purchased these boot purely because of the great feedback. I had been thinking of buying La Canadienne boots for 2 years because they have such a great comfort factor apparently, but unfortunately nobody said how heavy the wedge was so for me they aren't that comfortable also the arch is in the wrong spot. As I live in Australia it is too expensive to return, so I will only buy shoes I can try on in future, although I will say they are beautifully made.

Wow, how I loved these boots. I say loved because I just, with a heavy heart, taped them up and sent them back. All I wanted in a boot were three things: that they don't make me look like a lumberjack in a suit when I have to run outside the office for appointments, that they're comfortable for lots of city walking, and that they're waterproof. These boots fulfilled the first two requirements beautifully. Absolutely stellar. But unfortunately they fell down in the waterproof department. And with all the winter storms we've had in NYC in the past few weeks, that means I've been walking around quite a bit with wet feet, and I just can't justify spending that much money when they don't work as advertised. When I read all these wonderful reviews touting their waterproof qualities, I think perhaps I just got a pair of klunkers. I may reorder them and try again.

These are beautiful boots. They really flattered my legs. However, they are terribly difficult to put on and take off. It took a lot of tugging and a lot of time. As great as they made my legs look, I know I will hate putting them on and removing them. So I'm returning them.

These boots go up $100.00 every year. Give me a break!

Still own mine after about 10 years and they look and feel great. These boots are amazing plus weather proof so worth the trouble of trying out and returning if needed. I say this bc I had to size down about a size in a half to find my perfect fit. I really hope this style is made with an 18 inch shaft or taller over the knee boots for us taller ladies. I still love them anyway though.

Incredibly comfortable and beautiful . They have thick cushioned soles that you feel like you can walk forever on and even when you get home, and are cooking dinner you don't want to take them off. I've walked 5 miles and more in them with no fatigue. they are warm and waterproof . I have had a few pairs over the years and although they continue to look nearly brand new after years of daily use (in the winter) ultimately mine have come to an end when the synthetic sole suddenly splits in half around the ball of the foot and there seems to be no way of repairing it. They look good with dresses as well as pants and make your legs look long and slender (which mine are not). Although I love them, there are two imperfections : 1) The foot seems to be slightly too narrow for my wide feet and 2) they must make your feet sweat because, in the winter when you take them off inside your feet tend to smell. I wish La Canadienne would continue to make them but alas they seem to have been discontinued.

These are such fabulous boots - sleek and stylish, but so functional. They seem totally true to size, both the shoe size and also the snug calf fit (I’m 5’1” and around 102 pounds, so on the small size.) I find them really easy to get on and off - they’re strong but very flexible and bendable - and yet they never fall down even a little. I gave them a 4 for comfort only because the inner sole is not padded - but I’m planning to add an insert and that should take care of that. That being said - I walked 3 miles in them on my 2nd wear and they really weren’t too bad. So happy with this purchase; I know they are expensive, but I can already tell I’ll be wearing them all the time:

This is my second pair of the same boot; the first lasted about ten years! I was so happy the style still existed, and it is as stylish as it was ten years ago, a classic looking boot. I live in NYC and have worn these through every rain and snowstorm and I felt safe with the traction of the heel and dry and warm with the fabric. I am 5’ tall and thicker in the calves and it has enough give that it hits in the right place and is comfortable to wear with leggings or dresses. I am 57 and my daughter is 25 and skinny-calved and borrows them with thicker socks! We just love these boots!

These boots are fantastic all-weather boots, worth every dollar. They are my replacement pair; the first pair, same style, was ten years old and worn through every NYC snowstorm, looked brand new until the sole split two weeks ago. I immediately searched for same pair and here they were. They are great for rain, snow, leggings or dresses, anything goes, and long lasting, comfortable and always stylish.

Gorgeous boots. I almost kept them but they were too narrow in the mid foot and it seemed like this would bother me over time. Probably if I go a half size up it will be fine. But after I returned them I found a different La Canadienne ankle boot I wanted to try instead. Overall I would recommend. If you don't have narrow feet, consider going up half a size.

I bought these several years back and loved the look and the comfort. I really would like to get the same pair again, but can no longer find them. Wish La Canadienne will made these again.

First pair of these boots I have purchased but will definitely buy more! Planning to take them on two trips to Europe this Spring as they are light and water resistant. They are stylish too and fit well.

Fabulous! Sleek!! Comfortable! I'm a size 7 and got the 7, perfect. Not the easiest to get on, wear with a silky stocking and fold them down like a sock to make it easier, once they are on they are truly wonderful!

This is by far the best boot i have ever owned. I wear these everyday as work boots, as a hostess. They are upscale looking and amazingly durable. They will work best with someone with a narrow calf. I'm very petite and my friend who is the same size with a thicker calf couldn't get them on. On me they fit perfect and I can't tell you how much I love them!!

I purchased these boots for a trip to NYC when it would be raining/snowing. They worked beautifully. They were dressy enough to wear with tights and a black dress but comfortable enough to walk in the ice and snow for hours on end. It is hard for me to love shoes with such a low heel, but these are practical and fashionable. I'm looking forward to using them on rainy days in New Orleans.
