How Do You Spell Relief!
My knee, hip and back pain--caused by sciatic and arthritic problems--have been kept somewhat at bay by periodic shots, but MBT sandals are the best answer yet. I'm close to being 75, but a ten-day vacation involving much walking was made pain free by these great shoes, and at the end of a full day of activity I still was rarin' to go. I wish there were some cold-weather styles that didn't look so klutzy, but I guess I'll just wear socks and sandals all winter.

Great walking shoe -
I've been debating about these shoes for a while and finally ordered them. They take some getting used to, but I really love them. You can really feel it in your calves when you walk and they're very comfortable.

Ugly but…
This shoe is extremely unflattering, but really does give you a workout just walking around.

I love these shoes -
I bought a pair 2 years ago, since then I have been telling everyone about them. On the days I wear them I have no back aches at the end of the night. Every person I have talked into buying them as been extremely happy.

Unique -
The shoes come with a CD instructing how they should be used. Because they are constructed so different from any other shoe, I definitely suggest watching the CD prior to wearing them to prevent injury. I don't think the weight of the shoe is bad, I expected them to feel much heavier. I have custom-made hard orthotics I slip into my other shoes; but they suggest not using orthotics with these shoes. It hasn't caused me any problems though because the arch support is really good. I usually wear a size 9 women's but I first ordered a size 9 1/2 based on some of the reviews. I ended up exchanging them for the size 9 so I think they feel true to size. The first time I wore them I went for a 1-hour walk concentrating on the "heel, base, roll-off" technique. While walking, I didn't notice that I was working any harder or working different muscles. Yet, when I finished my walk I realized I was sweating, which I usually don't on a walk, and that some different leg muscles were sore. So I feel like I'm getting a better workout from my walks. The CD also touches on other exercises and Pilates moves to do in these shoes as well. I really don't mind the look of these shoes either (I have the white sport low). They are unique and I like the fact that they look different from other athletic shoes. (Plus, I read the Grey's Anatomy cast wears them as well!) I really, really, do like these shoes! They are an investment, but well worth it if you use them correctly. If they come down in price, I will buy a second pair in a different color.

Fantastic Shoes!
I bought my first pair of MBTs less than 2 weeks before ordering these. I had bought the brown sandals while on a trip to D.C. The very first day I wore them my back stopped bothering me and I was able to walk for hours in comfort. Upon returning home, I ordered the MBT Sport Low in white and have not regretted the purchase or the expense. When I walk in these shoes, I can walk farther and longer because I don't tire as easily and because my back does not hurt as much. Also, I have sesamoiditis and the rocker bottoms of this shoe help to keep my feet comfortable...no more pain under my big toes. I love the cushioning and everything else about the shoe. I'll be buying several more pair before the year is up. I now wear MBTs exclusively and recommend them to everyone I know.

Perfect -
I have severe plantar fasciitis and purchasing this shoe ends the pain completely. MBT is practically all I wear any more (except to a wedding). MBT is also good for my posture and back. I suggest anybody who wants to consider MBT shoes research MBT thoroughly. Unfortunately, I can't get all MBT models at Zappos yet, but hopefully this is coming soon. This is important, because for some reason, I wear different MBT shoe sizes in different styles.

They work!
They work wonders for the strength of my legs and lower back. They are acceptable to wear at work. I have been wearing them 4 days per week. I can feel the difference in my muscle strength and posture. At the end of a long day I have much less pain, and more energy. Thank you for your wonderful product!

BEST SHOES I've ever worn -
I am recuperating from calf surgery that left me unable to easily walk heel-to-toe. These shoes have helped me regain my ability to walk correctly. I like them so well I bought the sandals.
Not sure if they have tightened anything but I haven't been wearing them that long.

White MBT Sport Low -
Without a doubt the most comfortable sport shoe I have ever worn. True to its advertising, you can definitely feel a difference in your leg muscles after a long walk. Because of the shape of the shoe, it also helps maintain my posture and alleviate some of the back pain I used to feel after walking. Even after an entire day of working around the house or running errands, you feel as though you have completed a comfortable, yet painless workout. After wearing these for a couple weeks, I probably should have bought them in a half size smaller. Other than that, these MBT's are still an amazing shoe that live up to all their hype and price.

GO EASY! LOVE IT!
Small toe box, but I love this shoe. I have a wide foot, so I needed to get a size larger than my usual since the shoe doesn't come in widths other than M. Believe me, you should start slowly since you will discover muscles in your feet, legs and ankles, yes, ankles, that you didn't know you had.

Pretty happy with this purchase...
I actually saw these advertised in InStyle as "cellulite reducing" and I was up for trying anything. I am not sure if these will actually reduce cellulite, but I know when I wear them, I do get a better workout. They are heavy but very comfortable and I have worn them on very long walks without any problems. I had no problem adjusting to walking in them either. A little expensive, but I actually think they are worth it!

Excellent shoes -
When I first got them they felt a little weird, you need a couple of days to get used to them. But once you do they are awesome. I use "sport low" to work out and "professional" for work. I used to have pain in my knee and by the end of the day my feet were aching, not anymore my feet are never fatigued and I walk about 13-14 miles/day. They really tone; I've never received so many compliments on my legs. I have a wide foot and the shoe definitely accommodate. Next I plan to purchase the sport sandals. I love these shoes and I will always be an MBT customer. Also I love Zappos always excellent service, prompt deliveries and easy returns I can't imagine ever going back to the shoe stores.

GOTTA HAVE IT!
You won't be sorry if you splurge on these shoes. Like having your own mini-gym 24 hours a day. I actually feel energized while wearing these and if I'm not mistaken, my thighs are looking more toned every day. They do take a bit of getting used to (feel kind of "clompy" and large). I can't drive a stick shift in these! Well worth the investment. NO REGRETS.

I bought the sandal version two years ago, and am very happy with both. This seems to have more cushion, though. It's so comfortable and I like the notion that I'm getting a workout while walking with them on my feet.

Miracle Shoes -
I work in a Pharmaceutical Company packaging medication. The floor of course is concrete. We very seldom sit down so it is 8 hours on our feet on the concrete. So far this company hasn't made steel toe shoes but the walk in and out is the size of a football field. My feet and joints feel so much better since I have these to soften the walk and relieve the arthritis pain. I can not sell them enough. My poster has also improved and I feel so much better over all. Thank you for the discount. And quick delivery.

MBT sneakers -
These are the best walking shoes if you have back or neck problems. They have wonderful support and cushioning. I felt they were easy to walk in and did not require any great adjustments in posture or stride. I have been pain free since I bought them and wear them every day. I would suggest going up a size.

I'm writing this review on look, fit and feel. I have not yet trained in them, so I'll write another review once I've gotten some use out of them. First of all, these shoes are HEAVY. I'm sure it has something to do with the technology involved. I don't really mind, but if this is an issue for you, keep it in mind. Second, I have to say these shoes are pretty darn ugly and make your feet look like gunboats. Again, I don't really care as long as they perform as they are supposed to but I would never wear them when not exercising (and I don't have conservative taste in shoes/clothing). Third, I think these run small. I'm a solid 8.5 in shoes. If shoes come in whole sizes only, I'm a 9. I ordered the 39 (supposedly an 8.5) and the 39 2/3 (supposedly a 9). I usually take a 39 euro size; I take a 39 in Dansko professional clogs. The 39 were WAY too small. My toes were totally pressing against the end of the shoe. The 39 2/3 had plenty of room, almost a bit too much but I figure I can wear thick socks. One other thing, because the foot bed is not at all flexible, I'm very aware of the heel of the shoe rubbing against my heel with every step I take so I'm not sure if this is going to be problematic or not. I will write a second review once I've had a chance to use these for a few weeks and comment on whether or not they live up to their claims.

They take a little time to get use to. The wait is worth it. Comfortable for everything. Great for painters who climb ladders a lot. Your feet will just say AHHHHHH!

MBT "tennis shoe" is great -
I just bought a pair of MBTs. Now I think everyone should have them. I adapted faster than they say I should. A neat DVD and instructions come with them. Suddenly I feel like I can walk anywhere, even with my past of 4 foot surgeries, peripheral neuropathy (dead nerves in my feet) and a very bad lower back problem. I highly recommend people with sore feet or walking problems to try these. You WILL feel like the Masai warrior they are built to copy.

I think they actually look good on the foot compared to some other all- or mostly black athletic shoes I've tried. The rocking motion is interesting -- I got used to it quickly. The rigid sole means that this shoe worked for me even though I have problems bending my toes (osteoarthritis). 4 stars overall because of the cost, although comfort is worth it to me.

Good stuff -
It seems a good shoe and you can really feel it's working out the muscles on the legs and calves. I am still breaking them in. When sitting while wearing them my feet go numb. Overall it seems to do what it's meant to do.

These did not work for me...
Unfortunately, the back is too low and gave me a blister on my heel. I cannot wear them for this reason. The MBT Sport Highs - I have 2 pairs of and absolutely love them. They are so good for your spine and body!
Otherwise a great shoe and I would recommend them. I just don't think they work for my particular foot b/c of where they hit my heel.
