We had a house fire and my husband couldn't find these anywhere. These are exactly what he had and he's thrilled. It took them FOREVER to get here. I think they were sent by pony express so don't get them for a gift unless you give them a lot of leeway. Ridiculous wait.

My husband loves this slipper. I've bought it for him as a gift for years and he's always happy for the new pair. They're also well-made and durable. My only complaint is that the part of the slipper that wears out is the top of the toe. The new Slouch Slippers have a reinforcement on the top of the toe but he prefers the original slipper style. I'd love it if Acorn added a style option to the original slipper sock with a reinforcement on the top of the toe!

So I found these slipper socks brand new at a thrift store for 2 bucks. Noticed they sized was in both men and women's which was bool. I wear a size 9 in women's these are an 11-12 in women and are about a half size to big. I would have liked a little more elasticity in the sock but for 2 bucks I'm not mad.

I have had the wool (all colors but the light grey). The wool ones are too tight around the ankle and run small. The light grey is the only color that comes in a cotton blend. The cotton blend material is so much more comfortable (less tight and true to size). I love them. The only con is the light color-when washed, the leather orange color gets on the sock portion of the slipper sock. I don't think this can be avoided; I wish Acorn made the cotton version in a couple of darker colors as well (red and or grey). Then, the orange that bleeds when washing wouldn't be noticble.

Bought these for warmth to wear in house. Plenty warm, but uncomfortable to wear, because the soles don't stay on the bottom. The inner cushioning has no shape, to keep my foot in place. As I walk and turn, my foot slips to either side, and then I'm walking on the sides. You've been making these for years. Didn't anyone test them before ? I can't be the only person with this complaint. The size is men's 9 - 10 which is perfect front to back, so I don't think they're too big.

Love these slipper socks. They do run small. My husband received these as s gift. A size medium men's fits me, his wife. I wear a woman's size 8 shoe. These are just a bit large on me. They are the most comfortable and warm slipper socks I have ever owned. Very happy that they are now mine!

Love these things. Just wish there were more sizes, i.e. half sizes available.

Everyone is right about the changes from the old, made in Maine, slipper socks. These are still cozy, but there's something weird about the fit compared to the old ones that fit perfectly. The socks are a little tighter at the ankle, and the length seems a little longer. (I wear a 38 shoe which puts me between sizes for the slippers, and I went with the larger ones, figuring that a little larger is better than too small.) For me, the ankles are noticeable but not a problem; someone with thicker ankles is going to be unhappy. If Acorn had to send these to China, couldn't they have kept the old specs?

First pair I bought fit perfect. The 2nd pair the sizing is different. They are to long. I bought them for my 93 yr. old father. He wears them all day, every where. Unable to wear 2nd pair to long and he tripped and fell. I want to order another pair for him but am unable to figure out a correct size and so far unable to reach you by phone to ask about sizing.

I'm a fan of slipper-socks with hard soles. When I found these I was pretty excited--no wool and a leather bottom. Hard to find! As one reviewer noted, the upper part is snug. I push them down a little when wearing and they are fine for me. I know from experience that the slipper portion will stretch out somewhat over time. I'm a perfect women's size 8 and the XS fits me like a glove--which I like, because, again, I know the upper part will stretch out a little, and I prefer to not wear socks underneath. I would size up if you like to double-layer. The foam cushioned bottom is taking some getting used to, since my other pair had no cushion--a true "sock"--but this one is very comfy on hard floors, but be advised that at first it will feel a little tottery. The suede keeps me from slipping on hardwood and tile floors. I have dark carpets so if they stain, I can't tell. overall, a good choice I think for northern California winters.

Great product but sizing was way off. At least a full size too big, still usable but should have returned them. Stupid me.Took off 1 star due to sizing.

Young adults and teens like the look, but the smallest size is way too large for most teens. Recommend, youth sizes so all adults can enjoy the feel of the Acorn slipper-sock.

Got these for my husband. He likes them, but they are really hard to get on, the cotton tops don't stretch at all. Also, the bottoms could be just a little wider.

This is my second pair of these slippers. I wore my last pair for 10 years before they finally wore out I don't know if it's just because these are new or if they have upgraded the padding in the sole but it feels like heaven on my feet.

The slipper socks feel good and fit well. They are pretty warm but not overwhelmingly warm. They have more cushion than other slippers that I've had. They are a little difficult to take off and put on. Overall, I'm pleased with them.

Basically ok but less well made than in the past, particularly shaped very narrowly. Also strangely long sock. Looks funny but surely will be warm.

I have not been able to wear shoes because of a foot deformity that is causing a lot of pain, so I have been looking for a solution that provides some protection from rough outside surfaces. Although these were relatively expensive, I thought they might be worth it. The quality is excellent, and for someone who is taller, they are probably perfect, but I am very short. The upper part is just too long and heavy for my needs. Also, I do want extra room in the toe area, but with these, my foot tends to come up just where the stitching is and the leather sole is attached. Consequently, I'm worried about tripping over the toes. I'm sorry I'm not able to give a more positive review, but I think these probably don't work very well for small people with short legs. For others, I'm sure they are cozy, and they are certainly well made.

Size runs large in foot length but is narrow at the ankle making it difficult to put on. Price is quite high.

Would have preferred ankle length. Calf-high sock top is too tight for my calf. I've continued to use my 10+year-old ankle high MukLuks that I bought these to replace. Acorn version is better than current Mukluk choices but not as good as the old ones.

These have been my comfort zone for years but alas the current iteration seems to be of a different fabric, rougher, with no wool for warmth
