These are just not for me at all. I'm a women's size 8 so I ordered these in a small and the soles are way too big. I also have somewhat large calves and I wasn't able to pull up the socks as they were too small and there is very little stretch. They are really cute and the soles are really soft so it's a big bummer that these won't be working out for me and it really sucks that acorn charges for return shipping.

This was a gift for my husband. He had been wearing the same pair of slipper socks for over 25 years and they finally developed a small hole. (The Maine folks knew how to make slipper socks!) He wears a 10.5 narrow shoe, so I thought the Large would fit, based on reviews. The sock part fit okay -- but it came up to his knee, which he didn't like. The foot was too short. Just for kicks I tried them on myself (women's 8.5) but couldn't get the sock over my calf. Guess they're going back. :-(

These slippers were a replacement for red wool slippers. What a surprise to get cotton ones instead od wool.

I have a pair I bought when they were made in Maine. They are made in China now and the soles are at least 3/4 inches narrower. There is no way I could wear the new ones without stepping on the sock portion.

Product is to small. I have this product in size 14-15 that is to large. I bought this size thinking it would be in the 13 end of size, but it feels like it is in the 12 end of the size. Do you have a size for this product of 13-14?

Maybe missed sized. I love there slipped socks but can't walk in them. I an female size 7 1/2. The XS says 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 but they are way too big on me. I cannot walk safely in them. I wish I had saved the wrappings for return but alas.

This is my second pair of acorns ever and the quality is suspect. The toe area of the right foot stitching is already coming apart and I don't feel I've owned them long enough for this to happen.

I've had two pair of these. Purchased over 5 years apart. On both the knit material on the toe separated way before antything showed signs of wear. My regular rag wool socks last longer.

Just bought this pair from a local distributor, had to exchange due to sizing confusion. Had a pair years ago, wore nothing else at home. Size is marked as 12-13 but the sock portion is so tight it took two hands to pull past my heel. Unwearable. Left my feet red from the tightness. On my second pair of slouch boots -- they are great. But not the current generation of slipper socks. Would add pictures but the 'guidelines' block button, make it impossible to save and close add window. Attachment of sole to sock is uneven, not the smooth curve of slouch or prior slipper sock.

They are nicely made and warm, but functionally they aren't good. You can't walk in them without them step by step coming off. Very disappointed. The other model with an actual heel, while more expensive, is a much better choice I guess.

Every year or so I buy my husband a pair of Acorn slipper sock for Christmas. However, this year I bought the cobalt original wool socks and now, just a month later, the material seems as though it is falling apart! Are you using cheaper material? I told him it's time to look for another type of slipper...

The sizing charts are extremely confusing. Twice now I have ended up ordering the wrong size. The first pair I gave to my husband because they were so much larger than what I expected, the second time, the same thing happened to a lesser extent. When I showed them the size charts and how they contradict each other, they said oh well. You should have read the fine print that said 'unisex.' If I wanted to exchange, I'm responsible for shipping which is basically the price of the socks. Never buying from this company again. Also, they are itchy.

It arrived with large chunks or pills of wool all over the foot area. 3 weeks later the stitching attaching the sole on one side of the sock failed. It had to be repaired. Disappointed in this product.

Knit part shaped like a tube sock, did not conform to the bend of my ankle, sole would not stay centered on the sole of my foot. Impossible to walk in comfortably. Nothing like the pair I loved for 20 years that finally wore out. Returned these immediately. Hope the design is changed back soon.

Had a pair of slipper socks for over 20 years that simply wore out. They were shorter than the current offering. More like a regular house slipper. They were awesome. The pair order was nothing like expected. It was poorly made; did not fit correctly...it was sewed crooked and did not fit. Thought it was just the sizing. Tried ordering next size up. It too was all wrong. I guess it was too much to expect that the company was as wonderful now as it was 20 years ago. So sad

Size ~8 leather foot pad seemed correct size, but loose weave upper wool isn't strengthened to keep that pad in place. My feet felt like they were always sliding on a slick floor, not good when already dealing with a hernia. Wool has to be firm at the attachment so feet are firmly held to slipper.

These are a disappointment. I wore Acorn slipper socks for many years. These are basically tube socks with a sole stitched on. Not at all comfortable.

I was not satisfied with this slipper sock. The sole seems too elongated, so it 'flopped around' when I walked. The woven tube is only one layer, so not warm enough, and too long besides. I returned them and received a prompt refund.
