I really wanted to like these and they would probably have been great if it wasn't for the fact that they are extremely narrow (I have average, certainly not wide feet). Because of this they were extremely uncomfortable. Other than that they were great.

I ordered these in Black leather and was disappointed in the fit and style. They look better on screen than they do in person. I usually have great luck with fit (size 8) and they were snug with even lighter socks so if you do order and want to wear thicker socks or even medium weight socks, I would recommend half a size larger. I also typically like chunkier boots but these just did not do it for me. They are going back to Zappos!

This boot fits my low volume narrow foot very well, has good toe room from the square toe, and is warmly snug around the ankles. They are easy to put on. Wool lining is warm but not as luxurious as a shearling lining. Although the look is not very stylish, the boots are warm and comfortable to walk to work in. Some drawbacks: no arch support, zipper has no flap over it on the inside to keep the snow out, and the suede is not waterproof, so they did not work well for walking through puddles of slush. But overall I like these boots for keeping my feet warm in dry cold snow conditions.

Not waterproof. Not even water-resistant. First step into this winter's snow, and my socks were cold and wet. Very disappointed!

I am so glad I purchased these boots. I have been wearing them constantly during our very cold and snowy winter in Western Colorado. Easy to slip on with or without socks. Very cozy with the fur lining. They were immediately comfortable--no break in time. I actually like them better than my Uggs, since they are a bit more sleek and stylish.

I bought these two years ago for dog walking in the woods in the winter. My feet have always stayed dry and warm wearing them. Unlike many winter boots designed for utility or warmth, these are very light and do not weigh me down when I wear them the entire day. They keep me light of foot as I can speed walk through the city wearing them. I will add that they are trim in appearance and not at all clunky. Most importantly, these are comfortable, and one of the only boots that I can wear all day without my feet hurting.

Some of Rieker's styles fit my narrow high arched foot like a glove, and these are from that last. These seem to be exactly what I will need later this fall/winter when we relocate to the Pacific Northwest and I am habituating to the new cooler & wetter weather. Very nice soft uppers. I ordered 1 size larger than usual since I'll be wearing socks.

These boots are extremely comfortable, warm and dry. They are really cute with jeans and you are very sure footed in them. Love 'em. They do run a wee bit small. I usually wear a 38 and had to order the 39.

Firstly let me say, I read heaps of Zappos reviews before buying these boots - and they were spot on. These would be the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. After reading about the sizing I am a 37½ in Skechers so I went for a 38 in these boots and they fit perfectly with a thin pair of socks. So if you are between sizes I would go towards the bigger size. I would not think that they would suit someone with particularly wide feet though, as they are fairly narrow and snug fitting. But I love them.

These boots hug your feet like bedroom slippers. Living in the wet Pacific Northwest, I love that they are waterproof and slide resistant. My slightly wide, but not truly wide, feet love the fit of Rieker shoes.

Love these boots. Unfortunately Zappos only had 38 and 40 and I'm a true size 8 but neither boot fits. So they're going back. But it's a great boot. A bit tight on the calf for me.

I bought these for a winter trip to Europe, knowing that I will be walking around a lot. Unfortunately I couldn't zip them up all the way. It's a shame because the foot bed seemed really comfortable from just walking around the house. I had to send them back. The went up about mid-calf, which is 14 inches on myself and where about 1/2 away from completely zipping up.

These are nice shoes. They seem well made but they run very narrow. I ordered a size up when what I normally would wear were too narrow, but they were still way too narrow for my wider foot bunions. I had to send them back.

Very comfortable, warm and slip proof. Rugged looking, almost a man shoe look. I like the square toe.

Very cute, comfy and warm (nothing like natural shearling lining for warmth!). Unfortunately, these are not suited to trudging through knee-deep snow drifts. They're too short, and the zipper isn't waterproof. Much as I like them, sadly they're going back. I need taller, non-leather boots.

Overall these boots, like all Rieker shoes I have purchased, are great. They are very warm, comfortable, do not show salt stains and they last. One complaint however is that they are not truly "waterproof" as advertised. The zipper is not lined and lets in that freezing water when you step in a big puddle.

Very pretty boot. European size. If you're unsure, order up in size. I wear a 6 and got a 36 and they were too tight with socks; would have needed a 37.

I am very disappointed with this boot. It had the perfect sole that I have been looking for. However I have to force my feet and the zipper does not come up. I will have to return. Don't know if a bigger size will work.

How I wish these boots would have worked for my feet! They are just too narrow and make my feet cramp. The heel of the shoe feels great, but the lack of padding in the sole for the front of the foot was a problem. I like the fact that they were all leather and the wool lining was nice for keeping your feet warm, but they just didn't work out for me.

Loved this boot -- warm, snowproof, super comfortable, great traction! But after just a couple of weeks, a top seam split. Looked like it had been glued rather than stitched. Was concerned it had done this so soon after purchase, so returned. Otherwise would have kept forever!
