I purchased the Veronica slouch boot in dark brown in both the 6.5 and the size 7. I wanted to make sure they fit. after reading several reviews on these I was excited to get them. I normally wear a 7 but the 1/2 size smaller like the store associate recommended seemed to be a better fit. The quality of boot is amazing and it is easy to get on and off. They are very casual looking on with the slouchy appearance. I also ordered the Veronica BackZip boots and they arrived a day later. So I spent some time trying each pair on and comparing them. The Back Zip has a sturdier shaft and is a few inches taller than the slouch version. As for size, I did order the 7 in these based on reviews that they would fit true to size. I haven't left the house yet in them because I want to make sure I have the right size first. Tempted to order the 6.5 just to make sure that have the right purchase. Bottom line is they are both beautiful boots. The slouch is more casual and the back zip seems to maintain those clean lines for the office if you choose to wear them there. The slouch pairs went back today...as they weren't really what I was looking for.

I wanted a tall boot that wouldn't overwhelm my short (5'3") legs, and this style's height is perfect. I also have a narrow foot (AA) and it is hard to find a boot that isn't too wide. Although this boot only comes in medium, it works with a thick sock, and you can tighten the fit at the ankle with the buckle strap, and also on the calf as well. The quality of the leather is beautiful, although the dark brown brush-off is not as dark as in the picture. I just hope the boots don't stretch out too much with use and become loose or saggy. It's an expensive purchase, but in this case, I feel I got what I paid for! Zappos service was unbelievable. I ordered Saturday afternoon and had the boots Monday morning.

I absolutely love these boots. They are my favorite Frye boots and I own several pair. The fit is comfortable, they have a trim look even though they are called "slouch", they are the perfect height, and look good with skinny jeans or a dress/skirt and tights. They are not heavy or clunky and the leather has a nice texture to it.

For Frye boots, these are the worst. They were ugly - could not put your foot in them at all. I could not believe it. Returned them the next day. Zappos is the fastest in shipping I must say and I still like them and 6pm.com.

This boot is very stylish. I love the color and style; they look great with pants or skirts. I do wish the shaft was about 1/2 inch shorter (because I'm short) and that the buckle didn't jingle so much when you walk.

Fabulously comfortable boots. I wear them with everything. Have them in black as well. Love the low heel.

Sizing matters. I am a true 7½. I ordered a 7½ and honestly they are a little snug even after wearing them through rain storms and other conditions. They are very comfortable with thin socks. But every once in a while I wish I could wear them with thicker socks especially when it is cold out. But I cannot. They are great boots! But think about the size.

After going through 4 different colors of this boot, I was finally satisfied with the black tumble-grain. It is a true black and looks rugged. The black calf-shine is definitely grey and it did not look right to me. It was just a weird color. I really wanted to like the dark brown but the pair that I got had a weird coloration on one of the boots so it looked really awkward. These boots are pretty comfortable. I am still in the breaking in period and I do have a lot of heel slip. I don't think a smaller size would solve this issue so I am waiting for them to fully break in. The first day that I wore them, I walked 4 miles in them so it is definitely comfortable to wear out of the box. My only worry is that the boot is going to start slouching very quickly since it is pretty thin on the shaft. I hope it stays relatively stiff for a long time. If I had to remake the boot, I would give it a stronger shaft that stays up. Hopefully they will make a non-slouch version soon!

I love these boots! I got them in size 6.5. They fit accurately to size.I have a fairly wide calf (about 15 1/2) and these fit perfectly, plus they will stretch a little. The boot could've been a little wider, but after wearing them a bit the width became fine.

Love these boots, awesome hip style! I am 5' 3" 110 lbs and normally a 5.5 or 6. I have 5.5B in vintage brown and they are very tight trying to slip foot in footbed, once my foot is in, they are a true 5.5. I am in the process of stretching the instep some. The calf is perfect for me as I have small calves (which is always an issue with me having boots that are 2 inches to wide). I just ordered the black size 6, hoping they will a little easier to slide my foot into. No regrets buying these awesome boots.

I ordered my regular size (and I don't have narrow or wide feet) after reading other reviews that suggested that these will wear and stretch to accommodate your feet. Initially, I thought those reviewers were crazy. My feet and my calves (very athletic - about 14.75 in) felt like sausages stuffed in these boots. However, after some wear and some very painful blisters, I can slide my legs into these boots with ease. My calves also managed to wiggle some extra space for tights and skinny jeans. So, if you are considering these, make sure to buy your normal size. I would recommend walking around in your house with them for awhile before going outside. I would also highly recommend wearing band-aids on your heels until they are broken in. I've never had such a nasty blister until I was breaking these in for the first time. If you need arch support, these are probably not the shoes for you. The lack of arch support does cause some discomfort on some days when I wear these.

These are the best pair of leather boots I have ever purchased. These are genuine leather & are extremely well made; so despite the higher price, I would have to say that it is worth it. I ordered my normal size & found them to be a bit tight during my first few wears. I would recommend wearing a thicker sock with the boots around the house; they will stretch and mold with your foot naturally. I have small calves and was worried they may fall down my leg, but they have the perfect slouch and stability. Since they are real leather, these boots will distress a bit, which only makes them look better. I found them to be warm during winter months and comfortable enough to wear all day. Highly recommend buying Frye boots. They will last a lifetime.

I love these. I went up a 1/2 size, based on the rep at Frye's advice. The day that I received these, I got on a plane and went to Vegas. I had so many compliments, and wore them for three days shopping. My feet never hurt. I'm 5'3", a runner and have muscular calves and these were great.

This is my first pair of Frye boots and I really like them. Very comfortable out of the box and boot height fits perfectly with my 5'2 frame. The only downside is that I can't really wear them with skirts b/c they are a bit too loose with just tights or leggings. But I have very small frame and only weigh 95 lbs, so it's probably just me rather than the boots. I think they fit TTS, easy to put on and take off, even with both buckles tightened all the way to the end.

These are truly amazing boots. I ordered them in the Burnt Red Vintage Tumbled Full Grain and the color is beautiful...a really deep reddish brown. The leather is soft with just the right amount of slouch. I wear a size 11, have an extremely flat and wide foot, and pronate like crazy. I ordered the size 11B and they actually fit and felt good. If I was keeping them, I'd probably put in some insoles for a little motion control to help keep me from pronating. Unfortunately for me, I have bigger calves and these hit right in the widest part, and I didn't feel they were very flattering because of that. At least it made me feel self-conscious, and for the price of these boots I want to love them with no reservations. So, thanks to Zappos and their unparalleled customer service, these are going back. I'm going to take a look at the Veronica Shorties instead.

I had been eyeing these boots for months until I finally broke down and bought myself a pair. They are the most adorable, all around boots I've found to date and can go with just about any outfit. But everything beyond the appearance of these boots was a bit of a let-down. The rubbing on the heels of these was almost unbearable. I could not wear them for more than 20 minutes at a time at first before I had to take them off. It wasn't the sizing, they fit true to size, it was the firmness and inflexibility of the leather. I almost returned them, but my fondness of their look made me give them a chance and hope that the leather would soften over time. It has been several months now, and multiple uses and blistered heels later, they finally have broken in to the point that I can wear them out and not return home in agony. I still wouldn't call them comfortable, but they fit nicely now and no longer rub at my heels. The other disappointment is that one of the footbeds came loose after two wears. The material gets pulled looser every time I take my boot off, and I will probably be taking it in to get it glued back down soon. Just a bit frustrating to have to do this so soon after buying these, because they should be far more durable for their price. Overall, I wouldn't recommend buying these unless you fancy their look enough to invest the time it takes to break them in.

I got these in the color Cognac Stone Antinqued and they're gorgeous. They're a bit rough, but that's what I like about them. I'm 5'2" and the height of these boots is perfect---about two inches below my knee. I had heard that Frye boots run a bit big, so I ordered a half size down at first, but they were too tight. I ordered my regular size next (7 1/2) and they fit fine. It takes about a day or two to break them in, but they're very comfortable. By the way, these are my first Frye boots ever and I have no regrets. Worth the price.

I searched long and hard for the right pair of boots and finally found the Veronica Slouch! These are the ones. They break in almost instantly, perfect slouch and I've gotten compliments on them from strangers every time I've worn them! I feel like I am an average size 9 and they felt really tight and narrow through the toe and top part of the foot so I bought them a half size too big and they fit great. A girl I work with has had them for 3 years now and they are really broken in and they keep getting better with age.

I usually wear a size 9 in shoes, but almost always size up in boots in order to wear thick socks. I got these originally in a size 10 in the Dark Brown Calf Shine Vintage Leather. The first pair was missing a buckle and immediately went back. Zappos amazing customer service sent out a new pair that I received the very next day. After wearing them around the house, I noticed that my heel was slipping quite a bit and I wasn't very excited about the color. It was a bit too dull and didn't stand out against my jeans and tights. Also knowing Frye Boots pretty well, I had a feeling that once broken in, I would be flopping around in them in no time at all. I have made that expensive mistake before with a pair of Frye. So once again, Zappos amazing customer service sent out a new pair in a 9.5 and in the Cognac Stone Antiqued. These were a bit of a struggle to get on at first, but I know they will mold to my foot beautifully in no time at all. The color is amazing, they look like I have had them forever and they look great against both dark and light denim. I know I will be wearing them for years to come! Oh and for you athletic calved girls, these are a great fit on my 15.5 inch calves and I have no problem getting my skinny jeans in these.

Got my adult daughters each a pair of these for Christmas. I was tired of seeing them wear cheap fake leather boots so I bought them these. I have a pair and they are comfortable and well made. Thanks Zappos for making the holidays a lot easier by the sheer ease of ordering and the fastest shipping anywhere. Plus being able to exchange sizes for no cost is what keeps me coming back even if the prices are a tad higher than other sites sales, I'll always choose Zappos!

These boots are just wonderful. Versatile, comfortable, stylish. Out of the box they were very comfortable, felt true to size and just a tad wider than my Frye Melissa buttons. The finish is easy to care for, it pretty much just wipes clean with a soft cloth. The tread on the bottom helps in colder weather when sidewalks, etc. can get slick. Frye boots seem to get better the more you wear them. At least mine do! I stand 10-12 hours a day and they are extremely comfortable all day.

As much as others obviously love this boot, it wasn't quite what I was looking for. First off, I ordered the dark brown vintage tumbled full grain, and it is a lovely color and texture. However, the style was slouchier than I thought it would be. This is partly due to the softness of the leather, and partly because my calves are on the slim side (14") so these were too wide in the calf. In fact, the "bumped-out" part of the calf (see photo from side) looked downright silly on my leg. I wear 9-1/2 in many brands but almost always 9 in Fryes; I ordered these in 9 and they fit pretty well in the foot, maybe still just a bit roomy and my heel slipped a little. I'm sending them back and still searching for my perfect boot.

Well, what can I say, I am sitting here in these boots hoping my husband does not know Frye from Payless! They are not coming off my feet. Do not order them if you do not want to fall in love. These boots are made for us shorties. I am 5'2" and these boots are perfection with skinny jeans! I got the dark brown. I think it will be the most flexible color. I am hoping that the shaft does not stretch and actually get slouchy, because Ive already got them on the tightest notch, but there is room to punch a couple more holes, if this happens.
