I gave these boots to a dear friend as they were too big . I had read they ran big but I tried anyway as there was no size down for me.
As a designer here in NYC inunderstand fashion and fit well, I've been in the business 20+ years.
Sorrel should take more care in fitting the sizes properly. One can't rely on reviews only!
The positives are they were super warm and water proof .
I had the same experience with my sorrel rain boots, too big but warm and water proof , another friend inherited them.
There is little heel support and your toes are pointing upward - very bad for walking a city highly uncomfortable.

It was 21 degrees above 0. I got snow on top of the boot and my feet froze. Cute boots but do not keep feet warm.

Really cute boots, just what I wanted to pull on in bad weather... but the quality and workmanship from Sorel was a huge disappointment. The inner shearling lining in the boots was all bunched up on the first pair. I thought it might be a fluke, so I ordered another pair in the same size/style and the lining was even worse. Too bad, but I'm probably done with Sorel. I keep reading that the quality has gone way down since the company was sold a few years ago.

Narrow and Long!
I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 and based on reviews I got the 6.5...This boot is a narrow and should be marked as such, and even though it is a full size smaller than I would normally buy, Still LONGER than comfortable. My heel slides up when I walk. If you have long skinny feet, this is the boot for YOU! But buy a full size smaller than normal. Very comfortable foot bed, very comfortable and warm liner, cuter in person than in photo.
