i ordered a 10 and an 11 because I put in orthotics. I normally wear 10 - 10 1/2 in shoes/boots. The 11 was too big and the 10 would probably have worked. However, the faux fur lining kept bunching up, just trying them on. I also did not like the bulkiness of the tongue, the way it was designed. I am so spoiled to my 25 year-old Sorel Caribou's, with their wool felt lining that I'm going to keep wearing them and send these back.

I was looking for a short winter boot that would be easy to slip in and out of for taking the dog out. I wanted to love these, but every time I started to put my foot in (even with laces loose), the whole top sort of crushed down and made easy on impossible. There wasn't even a grip loop at the back for help pulling up. I normally wear a 9 in boots (Keen, Baffin, Hoka), but this 9 seemed too small and too narrow. I like the wider tow box in the Keens, perhaps Sorel is generally narrower. When I got the boot on, it seemed like it would be comfortable if it were a little wider. It was the perfect height for snow that's not deep enough to require a tall boot. The quality seemed good and it was a nice looking short boot, just not the easy on/off I was hoping for. I am returning these (thanks Zappos for your awesome return policy!!!). I ordered a 10 to see if that makes a difference.

Loved the reviews and they had a strong impact on my order. These boots, for me, are just too clunky and heavy. I will say, if I lived in the north I may feel differently about that. The do appear durable and well made. Another disclaimer is that I had a foot fused and I just need more cush and less weight. These are great boots and definitely would provide warmth. Not sure what direction to go now, but sad about not keeping this pair.

I bought these to walk the dog in the cold, snowy Minnesota winter. These were much bulkier than I thought they’d be. The shaft of the boot where higher than I imagined. I’m short which makes it difficult to find boots that fit the way I want them. I returned these. The pursuit for the perfect boot continues...

These boots were a little heavy. The top around the ankle was too wide and in snowy weather, it will not keep snow out. Olso felt like my ankle would get a little sore where the boot hits with the stiffness. Cute boots, but not for me.

The foot was perfect unfortunately they are going back because the seam where the foot meets the shaft (the black meets the brown) was rubbing against my ankle bone. So much so that after wearing them for a few minutes around the house, it's still hurting. Otherwise, it's really cute and my feet felt so toasty in them! I wish it just fit better.

Was very disappointed in these boots. Just wore them today in 25* weather, they were not at all warm, the boots I had for $100 less were just as warm. Have had this brand before and they were very warm but to bulky, decided to try a shorter boot. Think I just wasted $150…..but since they have been worn, I’m stuck with them. WaBe specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Other reviews warned to order a size up, they weren't kidding! They're cute boots but they have to go back...

These are too short and wide at the top if you're looking for real snow boots.

Tongue not sewn in straight

So tight! I ordered a half size ip & it still felt pretty narrow. Also, this shoe is not cute. I was willing to overlook that for waterproof warmth, but I guess I’ll never know! (If it was waterproof or warm)

These run small! They felt like I was wearing a kid shoe because they also felt narrow. I usually wear a 5 or 5.5. I have Sorrel Joan of Arctic in a 5.5 and they fit just fine. But I followed a lot of the reviews and went up a half size. I probably could go up a full size. But I didn't love them enough to do that. One thing I will say is that they are lighter than regular Sorrels. Some of their snow boots feel like 10 pounds per boot. These were light which was nice.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots but unfortunately, they do not come in half sizes and the full size is too small so have to return. Good Looking, not heavy.

It was very hard to walk in these boots, they are so stiff. I wanted to like them but I returned them.

Strange construction! The tongue in these boots lies on top of the sides of the boot where the lace-eyelets are. In a normal boot, the tongue lies on your foot/leg and you can tighten the laces regardless the width of the tongue. In these, if you tighten the laces so the eyelets are closer together than the width of the tongue, the lace had to go around the tongue, crushing it side to side. I just can't get the boot laced tight enough at the lower ankle. As shown in the picture, if you don't tighten the laces very much, this is not a problem. I really like these in every other way, but have to return them.

I love Sorrels and these would have been perfect if I had not received a defective pair. Left boot fit well, Right boot had a big lump of something surrounding the ankle, felt like metal but i think it was probably sewn wrong. Felt like a knife cutting into the back of my foot. Disappointed to receive such a defective item and won't be ordering these again .

Huge around the ankle, so that what keeps the boot on is the top. The attached tongue creates a lot of stiff fabric where a boot could otherwise help to snug up the ankle. As a result, NO ankle support, and continuous pressure from the top of the boot to keep it on. The nice fuzziness doesn't help much.

I own 5 other pair of Sorel boots. None of them were as narrow across the toes as this pair. I am returning them.
