These are great for someone with flat feet and bad knees - Purchased these for my husband who has flat, narrow feet. Additionally he has one replacement knee and another due soon. These shoes took care of his ankle and foot pain on his non-replaced leg. A god send!

Accommodates Orthotics nicely. I just had a Ceilectomy procedure on both great toes (Hallux Rigidus...removal of bone spurs from all the running and walking I've faithfully done over 55 years). The podiatrist prescribed orthotics to correct any biomechanical problems I still might have. I knew fitting the new shoes with orthotics might be tricky. I first ordered three pairs: the MW 811, MW 926 and the MW 659 all in a 9.5 Medium (I have worn Mediums all my life). The 659 fit comfortably with the orthotics in but for whatever reason, the 811s and the 926s were very tight. I requested returns on the 811s and the 926s immediately and twenty four hours later the new 811s and 926s (9.5 2EE) were at my door. They fit GREAT with my orthotics in. Zappos is sending a return label in the mail for my original purchase. Zappos is great for customer satisfaction.

Great Shoe - My wife has neuropathy in both feet. Her physician suggested this shoe in conjunction with orthodics. It's very comfortable and like most New Balance shoes, holds up well. It is the only shoe she can wear for long periods of time. She just wishes it would come in more colors than black, white and gray.

FINALLY A SHOE THAT REALLY FITS - I have feet that are hard to fit: wide toe-end of foot and narrow heel-end and I also require a deep toe box. This shoe does it all. The NEW BALANCE SL-2 Last that's used on this shoe fits this bill and makes this shoe really comfortable. (I plan to try other NEW BALANCE shoes having this last and see if this is the answer to shoe comfort for me.) Thanks, ZAPPOS, for letting me return the shoes that didn't fit.

I am sixty years young. I average about 5 miles per day of fast pace walking...rain, snow, or shine. I have been either running and/or walking daily for the past 27 years. I have a wide foot, which has not been easy to fit. Losing toe nails has been a normal part of my running and walking routine. The NB MW926 is by far the most comfortable shoe that I have used.

Great shoe - Originally I bought this shoe in a B-narrow, but found it was like an A width==first time I had a shoe too narrow to get into. This shoe, medium, fits more like a true narrow. This shoe feels very comfortable

Great shoe - I have been wearing the 925 New Balance for about 3 years and when they changed to 926 I thought well hell there goes my favorite shoe but overall I like the 926 better, looks not as boxy but seems to run just a little short in length compared to the 925`s. I go through about 6 pair each year and the New Balance is far ahead of anything else.

John Murray - These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They have great support throughout the entire shoe. I would recommend these shoes for anyone who is on their feet a lot, especially anyone who has to stand on cement floors.

New Balance's MW926 - White - Great shoe. Very comfortable. It's now my everyday walking shoe.

Great Shoe - What my husband appreciates is the wide sizes available at Zappos and by NB. It is a very comfortable shoe. He loves them.

These are the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn. My wife and I both have them and we love them. We both have been having pain in our feet and legs and since we got these shoes the pain has gone away. I wear steel toed shoes at work and one night my feet and legs were hurting so I changed to my New Balance shoes and the pain went away instantly. Everyone should wear a pair of these shoes. They feel better on your feet than walking on carpet. Thank you so much.

So Many New Balance Styles So Little Time - Great walking shoes. More support than the 811 but I like the 811 too. Loosened up so my orthotics felt a little loose which didn't happen with the 811.

New Balance: one of the best - Good value for the money, nice style, and they have the bigger sizes.

GOOD COMFORT - New Balance typically runs a bit narrower than other shoes in a 4E.and I cannot wear New Balance for this reason... so I ordered the 6E which this is one of the few styles that New Balance makes this wide, the fit was perfect it was comfortable; BUT, sadly I had to return this pair because they squeaked unbelievably. I'll try my luck with another pair since I can rarely find a shoe this wide. PS: the Asics brand 4E are much wider than the New Balance shoes, so if you were cursed with duck feet and a Morton’s Neuroma, try the Asics, and order a half size larger; they run a tad short.

Well-padded and wide shoe - My foot is very wide and I have a high instep and arch. Finding a good walking shoe in women's sizes has been difficult so I purchased this NB 926 which offers a 6E width and has room for my custom orthotics. This shoe is very well-padded and offers excellent support. My feet have never hurt and it seems that shin splints have been lessened since walking in these shoes. They look a little large and somewhat clunky compared to running shoes, but my husband thinks they look fine and I bought them for function and I'm happy.

Finally getting pampered! A 10.5 size with a 4E width makes footwear hunting tedious and frustrating. Adding to that was my requirement of good shock absorbers as I do a lot of walking. It's been years since I had something like this. This being my first ever NB, and I'm hooked for life!! An excellent walking shoes which takes the stress out of walking.

Great Shoe - This is a great shoe. It's very comfortable and accommodates my orthotics. I walk 3 to 6 miles every day and this shoe holds up well.

Most supportive walking shoe! I have been a New Balance customer for years. I have a narrow flat foot. After wearing their crosstrainers (600series) and their running shoes I decided to try these. I’m glad I did! These are the most stable supportive shoe I have ever worn. The arch support is second to none. I also have the Brooks Addiction Walker and they are excellent too. If you’re on your feet all day on cement and tile floors like I am you need to try these. The sizing is right on in my opinion. Unlike the 811 that is made from non leather, and I find the sizing way off, this shoe is real leather. I also like the low profile all black so I can wear them in my job without a lot of attention being brought to my feet. You’re going to pay more for these but they are a well made solid shoe and comfort wise the best! Indulge you only have one set of feet treat them right!

926 Walking shoe- New Balance - I've owned 843 New Balance walking shoes and have been pleased. Eventually wear has led me to order the 926 shoe. The major advantage is the natural leather upper.

MW926 - Excellent shoe with great support and protection for problem feet. I took them out of the box the day they came and walked three miles and they felt great, no problems!! Very accommodating for the walker!!!!

Best walking shoe - I'm a mail carrier who has faithfully bought & worn New Balance 608 & 620 cross-trainers in bulk for work for years. I decided to try this walking shoe which is considerably more expensive to see if it was worth the price. It is and more. Simply the most comfortable steps I've ever taken. They are not as sporty or sleek as the cross-trainers and can look like two big pillows on the bottoms of your feet but if you walk a great deal or stand all day long I've never worn a better shoe for the job. So far they are as durable as the NB cross-trainers too. I'm sold, and Zappos had them on my feet in less than 48 hours as always.

I would buy again in a heart beat. I bought these on another recommendation I read. I feel that these shoes are great. I had plantar fasciitis a few months ago and have had to put in inserts in any shoe I buy. I still get some pain with non-insert shoes but not with these. I can wear them all day and not feel any pain just as they come from the factory. I have a wide foot and only Zappos had them in my size plus the shipping was great. These are top end of the New Balance line and well worth the price.

Comments On NB MW926 - After ordering twice this shoe is wide enough and is correctly sized. Has nice toe room and excellent support.

Great shoe for my foot problem. I broke my left leg in Dec 2004 and have been having a difficult time recovering from my injury. The bone broke close to the ankle requiring a metal plate to be surgically implanted in my leg. It has required me to wear athletic shoes for all occasions due to the pain and support needed due to my injured leg/foot. I started out wearing NB 250's, a black high top umpire shoe, but it lacked the added support and cushioning that I found in the MW926 when it was time to purchase a new pair of shoes. I bought a white pair of MW926s for physical therapy first along with a pair of black NB 608s for everyday office wear. Once I wore the MW926's I quickly realized they were far superior to the 608's in comfort and support. I sent the 608's back to Zappos and purchased this black pair of MW926s. I truly love these shoes and my feet have never felt better.

Most Comfortable Travel Walking Shoes - Great walking shoes for traveling. Excellent all round support and comfortable for wide feet. Not too casual and color works with jeans as well as khakis. Comparison shopped with Rockport Blackville, Brooks Synergy 2, Brooks Addiction Walker and this is best for anytime all day wear. Definitely not the best looking one but a great option for travelers who need to pack light with shoes that you can wear for both day and night outs. Of course, you can’t beat ZAPPOS huge selection of shoes and sizes, pricing, exceptional speedy delivery, and certainly the excellent customer service and returns. Thank you ZAPPOS!
