These boots are the first hiking boots I've found that fit and feel good. I've been looking for a long time. I did have to order even larger than expected based on other reviews, but finally found the right size and have been wearing these boots ever since.

This is an extremely comfortable, stabilizing shoe with good pronation support, right out of the box. I have flat, wide feet, so my arches tend to get tired, and my toes tend to feel cramped. So my feet really appreciated the arch support, and the wide toe box. (I ordered 1/2 a size larger.) My easily twisting ankles appreciated the boot holding them firmly in place. I was able to hike comfortably in Mt. Shasta, even through light snow, and my feet were nice & dry. Also, I liked that the shoe is not too light, and not too heavy. It's just right for moderately rugged hiking. Highly recommended!

This is my second pair. The first pair I completely wore out after four years. I am in the landscaping business, these boots are worth every cent. They are light, cool and my feet breath even though they are waterproof. I had developed foot problems before I switched to Keen, and I have not had a problem since. These are great boots!

Bought these shoes for a trip to Yosemite. I have a chronic achilles tendon issue and was very concerned about hiking (I'm also 67 years old) but ended up on some very steep paths and had no pain. These shoes felt like walking on air - so comfortable from the beginning. I didn't even break them in before taking them on the trip. I wasn't used to hi-tops either, and I had no problems with that either. I was so happy I chose this shoe for my trip!

I have wide feet and some other issues that make it difficult to find shoes that fit. My doctor advised me to get hiking boots that cover the ankles for walking/hiking. I got these and used them on a three-hour, pretty intense hike -- and had NO foot pain or trouble of any kind! They're roomy, very supportive, and comfortable. Love these things. (I did go a half size up.)

Best boots ever! I struggle to find comfortable footwear as I have very wide feet, with a very high instep too. These boots are the best! I had less than a week to get used to them before heading off for 2 weeks in Europe. Did a lot of walking, 8-12 miles a day, and never had a bad day. The perfect choice.

Because I read some reviews that this boot runs a 1/2 size small, I ordered it in two sizes, 6-1/2 and 7. I usually wear a 7 in a boot and a 6-1/2 in a regular shoe. I have to have a wide toe box also. I found it very comfortable in the 6-1/2, so I sent the 7 back.Thank you Zappos for the free shipping both ways. I use to refuse to order shoes by mail, because I have such difficulty fitting in shoes. I love Keen's and have had several pairs.

These are great hiking boots! The order arrived on Tuesday; I wore them on Wednesday for a three hour hike in our state park! I never had a moment of stiffness. The boots steadied my balance by gripping my ankle with perfect ease as I maneuvered the narrow and very steep trails up the hillsides. The sole miraculously grips the sand and gravel and never slipped or felt unsteady once as I was edging my way down mountain slopes. I could almost feel my foot grab the earth and hang on tight as I hiked. In the first week I used them four times on similar hikes and they continued to serve me great. I ordered a size larger as recommend in the reviews and that was perfect for me. They never even rubbed my feet in tender places as new shoes often do! I have plantar fasciitis so I inserted my own orthotic which was thicker than the original and the boots still fit my usually very hard to fit feet perfectly!

Comfortable right out of the box. I have wide feet and need extra room for thick socks. Ordered my usual size 8 and they fit well. I use them mostly for light hikes.

Fantastic hiking boots. They're light, comfy, have great treads and keep your feet warm and dry. Almost no break-in time required. I recently wore them on a 10-mile day hike over uneven terrain that including hills, snow, ice, mud, and streams, and they performed perfectly. Can't recommend them highly enough. Definitely heed the recommendation to order a half-size up; I have always taken a straight 9 in a Keen and I needed a 9.5 in these.

I bought mine in 7.5 tho I often need an 8 due to wide feet. the 7.5 is fine. They don't have the wonderful wide toe box that my old keen oxfords did. But they seem okay, Got the Black Olive Slate Rose combination. The rose is leaning slightly towards a salmon. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and may buy another color.

These are the best hikers every. Really. I have had these boots since 2007 and just purchased a new pair. I once passed a woman hiking the entire Appalachian Trail in the same boots. I knew that I had picked winners. They are so light, yet you can hike over everything and feel nothing. I hiked through Peru and all over, and love them so much.

This is first time I have bought Keen brand shoes. I ordered the 1/2 size larger then I usually wear and there is enough room for heavy socks. I like the extra toe room. I wear these everyday for work, took out of box and went to work. Very comfortable did not need any break in time.

The Keen Targhee II fit like a glove. I usually wear an 8.5 N. I took the advice of another reviewer and bought the 9. I needed room for my orthotics and would recommend the half size larger. I haven't hiked in them yet but wearing them in the house hasn't caused any discomfort. I am happy with this boot!

I was thrilled that these fit my feet out of the box. And that this medium size shoe fit my bunions. Amazingly comfortable. My husband ordered these for me and I thought there was no way a Mid would fit. So glad he did. I did order 1/2 size larger as advised. Perfect.

I have been wearing my pair for over a year. They have seen better days but still doing there job not as good as they used to but still working for 8 hours in a factory in winter keeping my feet dry.

Super comfortable right out of the box, no need to break in. I ordered half size up recommended by other reviews but they are slightly big so my regular size would of been fine. Easy to put on and easy to take off. Just got them so haven't tried them out on a hike yet but as far as look and comfort go I would recommend this boot.

As many other reviewers said, these boots are very comfortable right out of the box. Buy at least a half size up; I usually wear a size 9.0 in a comfortable walking shoe (plenty of room for the toes) and purchased these boots in a 9.5 and they fit perfectly. I'm 70 years old and hiked 6 miles on wet terrain yesterday with no problems. Highly recommend.

The need to order 1/2 size up varies by individual. I followed the advice and ordered a 6-1/2 for my daughter, who's normally a 6, and they slipped around on her feet even with heavy wool socks. The 6's fit perfect and she's thrilled with both the style and comfort!

These are fantastic! I did buy an 8½, I am normally an 8, then exchanged for 9. Perfect! I like to wear really thick socks too. These felt perfect in every way. After a try in day at work I did have a blister above my heel about 1". I will wrap my ankle lightly or put padding there, the blister I believe is from my ankles and heels being small. My heel did not slip tho. So far I love these. I tried on 14 pairs and these were it. I am woman size 8, sometimes 8½, medium width.

These are the most comfortable shoes, hiking or otherwise, that I have ever had! I wore these for the first time, with no break in period, on a five mile off trail hike which consisted of rock scrambling. I heeded the advice of others and chose a half-size larger. They were perfect! If you are looking for good hiking boots with ankle support and toe box room then these are the boots for you!

Great Hiking boots, wore them on a 14 mile hike to Table Mountain in the Tetons. No blisters. They were not broken in.

This is my third pair. They remain true to size. I love the new color.

I have such a tough time finding shoes, boots, hiking boots that fit my wide toe box, narrow heel and provide good support. I have tried other Keen's, other brands. The Targhee II is perfect for me. Am prone to getting cramps in my feet and toes. Not the case with these boots. And coincidentally, great for hiking, walks in the woods, daily wear in all weather conditions.
