I sized down like some of the reviews suggested and I had to return them and get my usual size. The smaller size looked ok while standing but not when I walked in them, my toes would get too close to the end and was uncomfortable. I think my normal size looked better also. I read somewhere that you are supposed to have about have 1/2 inch in the back and that is what Birkenstock considers a correct fit. These are very comfortable and I’m happy with them. I’m normally a 6.5 in most shoes, and size 37 worked best for me.

Birkenstock never disappoints.

These seem to be the only sandals my problem feet can tolerate. I tried another brand with built in support and they were super wide and weird feeling. These, while needing a break in period, are much better. I had a pair years ago and now I won’t let the price stop me again. At almost 50 years old, fashion be damned.

I wear the regular size but will poke new holes to tighten the straps, worn the Arizona for 30 yrs. it is my favorite

The sizing on the website is incorrect. A 38 is not a size 7. I am a size 8 and ordered a 39 which is clearly a 9. I should have gone with what I knew and not relied on the website. I had to return for a smaller size.

I love the suede, it’s super soft and comfortable. The “breaking in” stage was much more comfortable with these compared to other Birkenstocks I’ve owned.

My husband had hammertoe surgery and was in a walking boot for 6 weeks. Once he was able to walk but still couldn't get his foot in a normal shoe because of swelling I ordered these Birks for him. He loved them right off the bad. The adjustable straps made it easy for him to fit his still swollen foot. He said they were very comfortable and felt good on his feet. Also, he will be able to adjust them back once the swelling goes down and where them for years to come.

Zappos is the best. Bought a pair of Birkenstocks last year, they never fit right, and never wore them. Taking a chance, I called Zappos to see if I could exchange them. Mind you, thirteen months had slipped away. Yes, they did exchange them and the new Birkies fit great. Kudos to Zappos. As far as sizing goes, Birkenstocks run large. The size that fit was a whole size smaller than I usually wear.

I gave these shoes to my husband for our 30th anniversary. I've been looking for these for 8 years. He is so happy.

This is my first pair of Birkenstock’s. I tried both the regular footbed and the soft and thought both were comfortable. The regular footbed felt more rigid than this one and might have needed a break in period whereas the softbed feels immediately wearable.

absolutely the most comfortable pair of Birkenstocks I have ever owned. prefer the original so much more than the soft sole and the suede is so soft.

These were purchased to replace my husbands 10 year old pair. Just great. He loves them just as much as his old pair. Quality seems great.

I have another pair of birkies that are a bit wide. These fit nicer!

A little short. I'm a USA shoe size 14. The 46 is a little short. Wish they were available in a 47
