Light and Rugged - After one day these sandals seem awesome. A little tight at first-they loosened up after a few hours. They have a pull loop adjustment and a cover strap. I think these will be great for everyday use and I usually wear a medium smart wool sock. Very comfortable-a couple of "hot spots," but I think they just need some break in time. Should be great for camp, hikes with a light pack or streets. My students say there're ugly and retarded- what do they know? Great price and Zappos service is 2nd to none!

I bought these because the 'other' manufacturer that I've depended upon didn't have the right size, etc. Teva's have always had an almost legendary name with me. I still have a pair of sandals that are over 20 years old and in working condition. So, buying these for my son, I felt very comfortable. At the end of the summer, the shoes fitted his feet, very well. They'd survived intense daily wear and tear for three months straight. My thoughts: The Teva and others are starting to 'build' their sandals down to the footbed; this proved an issue with a number of the strips fraying and then breaking. They smell with only baking soda and a night in the freezer helped. (good tip this-but place in shopping bag too) Overall, the Teva's lasted but it would seem, only just. If your 10 year old is anything like mine and likes running, jumping and playing in the woods, in the water and on the rocks, then these sandals may well look as if they are on their last legs by the time summer is out. They ain't pretty but they get the job done.

Great comfortable shoes! The only thing I would change is the gigantic TEVA banner on the top strap. Unnecessary and truly detracts from the shoe.

Bought as a swim shoe, this feels more like a sandal. Firm and wobble-free, it would be perfect for walking over rocks and rougher ground than a pool bottom. Drains well and dries quickly. Made well.

So far I am enjoying these shoes, though I don’t love them as much as most reviewers seem to. My only real complaint is that one of them (the right for me) rubs a bit on the outside ankle. Not sure if it is just a fluke in the manufacture of my pair, or it’s my foot or what, but the left fits great and feels comfortable. Still, it is a good shoe and I think with a bit of wearing in that issue will disappear and I will be very happy with my purchase.

The Dozers are a well thought out bridge between shoe and sandal. This crossover will fit the bill when a sandal isn't enough protection, and a shoe is overkill. I've always trusted Teva for their quality and workmanship. So far, the claim of a sinkfoot free (Microban) sole is working. One note; the Stargazer color is lighter than it appears in the pictures.

I received my Tevas within a week of ordering them and was very pleased with the general style and look although I do think they are maybe a half size bigger than normal.

Reasonably comfortable and has a heel which is important to me as it reduces back aches. Runs slightly smaller than normal.

I had read reviews on this shoe that had already been published: Some said that shoe ran a little small, and the poll showed that most thought that this particular sandal ran true to size. \r\n\r\nI ended up ordering 1/2 size larger than my usual shoe size. And they fit nicely. \r\n\r\nMy only complaint is that the strap across the top is too short for my foot, in that I have a pronounced arch and a very high instep.

I normally wear a 12 medium, and my usual size fits me perfectly in this shoe. This is a very comfortable shoe, although it did take a few wearings to break in a bit. I have large feet, but the style of this shoe does not accentuate their size. I am pleased with this shoe and I would order another pair.

Excellent pair of shoes--I use around the boat and in the water. They wear well; size compares 1 to 1 to my running shoes. Price compares favorably to Kohl\'s department store price. I liked enough to buy a second pair.

In ordering this shoe, you should order a whole size larger. I wear 10.5 and usually wear 11 when some shoes are "cut" smaller, but to my amazement on this shoe, I had to order a size 12. Being that these shoes are cut smaller, they appear smaller visually if that is a concern for some. Bare in mind that this style has no 1/2 size. These shoes look great with shorts, khakis, jeans, and are extremely comfortable. The all around padding/cushioning on the back side of the straps & tongue of the shoe makes it comfy in hot weather (you won’t get irritating blisters) when wearing these. The foot bed is made of material that won’t build up odor on repeated wear as with those that have the "material" absorbing pads in similar styles that I own. The only thing that I might say on the negative side to the inside foot bed is that your feet slide just a bit when they sweat, but does not interfere with the joy/comfort of wearing these. Since I live in the city, I refuse to wear flip flops and more power to those that do - these are a must alternative to flip flops. I find that these are MORE comfortable than flip flops and give you more protection against the city street elements. GET THEM! I’m getting another pair to have as a future back up!

More than just a sandal - It took about a week, and one blister, before I had them broken in. They seem great for most outdoor activities though I haven't really put them through their paces yet. Overall, I'm pleased.

Better than it looks - I got these to replace a worn out pair of Teva's and probably because the old ones had the sole worn pretty smooth, I find myself tripping up more than I would have expected. Bottom line...very good tread, pick up your feet with these puppies. I must say I don't care much for the look but that is unimportant. They fit very well, are comfortable all day long and have enough toe protection for rocky trails. I am sure I will wear them for many years and wear them smooth too.

Nice sport sandal. Traction should be good, but I have not yet tested these on wet rocks or mud. This shoe runs large. So half sizes should order DOWN. I am a size 10.5, and a size 10 in this sandal is a perfect fit for me. The tip of the velcro fastener needs to be superglued to prevent it from tearing off. I strongly recommended Rhino Glue as by far the best version of superglue I have ever tried.

Nice sandals - I bought these for my husband for his birthday. He's always outdoors, personally and professionally, but needed good shoes for river use that had to look pretty good. These work well. It was good advice to size up for half sizes.

Nice Shoe/Sandal - Perfect for my needs which are easy to get on/off, lightweight, multi-use and look a little different than the norm. I wear a 12 normally and ordered the 12, after reading the reviews and visiting the Teva website for their shoe measurement chart, I thought I may need the 13. However, the 12 fit well and the 13 would be way too big. I have wider than normal feet so the width was a little narrow but that will probably get better after a few wears.

nice looking and comfortable - If you like these kinds of shoes, and the way these look, Dozer is a great choice. I find TEVAs to run a bit small; I typically wear size 8.5 or 9, and do wear a 9 in TEVA sandals as well, but for these closed toe shoes, which I plan to wear with dark socks and jeans (so they look like regular shoes), I ordered a size 10 and they are perfect. TEVA doesn't make half sizes unfortunately. I can't stand my toes hitting the end of the shoe. Not sure if they would hold up to serious hiking, but I got them for casual, so that's all I expect from them. They keep my feet dry and very comfortable all day long, and I plan to wear them even in cooler (dry) weather. Very comfortable and good looking.

Is There Anything Better For This Price? This is a lightweight, well-made and good-looking shoe that fits very well and provides firm traction and foot support with lots of ventilation. I bought mine in blue, but would have preferred brown or black if the logos were not in such contrasting colors. I bought the Dozer for general outdoor use and light jogging, and so far (two weeks into wearing them) they have proven very, very good. My only concern so far has been with some friction along the back of the heel, which is why I gave it 4 stars for comfort rather than 5. Purchasers should be aware that the "full size only" factor favors a slightly largish size - I usually take either a 9 or 9-1/2, and the Dozer's 9 felt like a comfortable 9-1/2. I don't expect I could find a better shoe in this style for under $90-100.

Closed-toe sandal - Comfortable shoe, strap across ankle could be a little longer, the end of this strap does not look like it will hold up to many loosenings of the velcro.

Nice Sandals - I walk 2 hours to school and back with a 60 lbs pack (gotta keep in shape!) and got the Teva Dozers since my boots look *real* bad when wearing board shorts. They protect my toes much more than typical sandals but they do cause blisters around my heel and outer side of the pinky toe. Any sandal of this design would I suppose after a 2 hour march. They look nice and very durable; I can sprint in these without worrying about a sandal flying off or disintegrating mid-stride. I haven't taken them on a proper hike yet but I’m confident they will serve well. It also has anti-stink technology? Well, no ones complained in class so far. :p
