I have looked for this type of shoe for a long time. It is much heavier than what I want, but am leaving for a month holiday in the south of France and need a shoe like this. It will be good for all the walking I will be doing and will take me anywhere. I ordered two pair, but returned one because of the weight.

Neat strap idea but didn't fit my wide foot -
Unfortunately I had to return this shoe. The strap is certainly adjustable, and my wide foot fit in the shoe, but because of my wide width the strap buckles ended up on top of my ankle instead of to the side, and it looked strange. The arch support was wonderful! I was disappointed to have to return them.

I wanted to love this sandal, especially since after surgery my PT told me I had to get sandals with a strap in the back and a supportive arch. Unfortunately the strap behind the foot (the only one that isn't adjustable) was too loose, but since my foot is almost hanging off the back, I can't go a size smaller. I have never had issues with sizing and was super disappointed. Had to return them.

Didn't work for me. I need a lighter weight sandal with a flexible sole. These straps are adjustable which would be great for my narrow feet, but I need softer straps. I can imagine these sandals would work very well for most people - I have very picky feet.

So uncomfortable!
These are horrible shoes! The adjustment doesn't stay adjusted, although I've tried many times and made sure it seems secure...Like someone else said, as you walk in them, the toe area gets tighter and tighter no matter how you had it adjusted, and by the end of just a 1/2 hour walk, your toes and upper feet have deep red strap marks on them. The footbed is also SO uncomfortable! It's way too hard, there's no give at all, and the criss-cross pattern rubs horribly, even if I put them on tight so my foot shouldn't move around, my foot still moves ever so slightly and rubs. I get blisters if I wear them for an hour or more, unless I wear them really loose, and that's no good for most active activities. I also have a pair of Teva’s that I love, and I just bought these to have another color of sandal, but geez, I can't wear them for any active things, which is what they should be used for. I only wear them on very light grocery shopping trips, since my feet can't even stand a full day in them. Don't buy Chaco’s - try Teva’s or something else.

Bought these and wore them several hours around the house but they were so uncomfortable I ended up sending back and will never again buy another Chaco sandal. The continuous strapping was horrible and constantly re-adjusts while walking causing straps to loosen where they should be tight, so forget the adjustability on these straps. I had to try to adjust the straps the entire time they were on my feet. What a nuisance! The soles although anatomically shaped are hard and uncomfortable. Believe me I have friends who swear by these but not for me. I will stick to Fitflops as they fit well and the soles are like pillows for the feet. So comfortable.

Like walking on concrete (rough concrete). I love the design of these shoes, but unless you are young and/or have perfect feet, you don't want them. There is no cushioning at all. I can wear them for short periods not involving lots of walking, but when doing walking tours in Barbados or Nassau, I had to cut my walks short and get out of these shoes. They are just terrible on the soles of my feet.

I have been struggling with this shoe ever since I received it. I was really excited about it, because I read that it was a comfortable shoe. However, I have not been able to adjust the toe strap on the left shoe, and they hurt me so badly that I have been taking Aleve 3 times per day for the last three days to relieve the foot pain these shoes caused me (on my left foot). I have thin feet, with a normal arch, I don't know whether the pair I got is defective? I am traveling and away from home, but I will call Zappos to see whether I can return them as soon as I get back. These shoes are a total disappointment!
