Goodbye Tevas, hello arch support! Tried the ZX/1 too; kept Z/1 in Desert Rose. Best sandal ever for travel. Good all day from Day 1 in Europe on cobblestones, steep stairs & sand. Bonus: tall, non-slip sole helpful in unsavory restrooms. I have high arches (orthodics user), wide forefoot, no cushion under balls of feet, and blister easily, but no problems with Z/1. Usually wear 6.5M, but 6W worked for me. Will ONLY buy online shoes from Zappos. Fast delivery, return shipping policy, price matching and customer service can't be topped!

Complete support! I absolutely am so pleased with this sandal. I tried three other products first. I recommend this sandal for all activity. The support it gives is fantastic. They take a minute longer to put on than a velcro sandal, but oh so worth the time. They are also true to size whereas the Keen sandal felt a size and a half smaller than stated.

I love my Chacos!! They have an excellent arch support, cool new color and I can wear them anywhere. When I received the shoes I put them on and have not taken them off since. The real bonus is my podiatrist recommended them also.

Good hiking sandal - This sandal gave me great traction while hiking. I like the option of wearing socks to protect my feet on rocky trails. The sandal would have been more comfortable if it was a little wider in the heel, the very high sides where the straps are attached were bothersome at times.

Great for wide feet, high arches - These sandals are comfortable and attractive. The arch is high and solid. And Zappos delivers super fast!

Excellent Teva Replacement - For years I wore Teva’s and was generally happy with them. When I was ready to buy a new pair of sandals, a friend recommended Chaco's and I have been very pleased with the replacement. Chaco's provide more arch support, better tread soles, easier to clean and dry, and no initial break in period for the straps.

Great comfort for travelers - I purchased two Chaco sandals - 1 for me and one set for my husband. He was skeptical, but now I can't get them off of him. He almost sleeps with them. In the hot weather they are very comfortable. We plan to wear them on a Windjammer cruise this next November. In the meantime we are enjoying them for walks and other local activities. Good support, keep feet cool in hot weather, look good with shorts or slacks, quality A+. Would recommend for anyone!

Great support - Wonderful sandals, great they come in wide. I wear them all the time.

No foot pain with Chaco's - I recently bought these shoes like I have many others in the past. I spend $100; wear them a few times and then my feet start to hurt again. Not with the Chaco's. I had to adjust to the different feel but I made it through Disneyworld and also wear them to work. I don't know what I'm going to do when cold weather comes but I really do like my Chaco's and I like doing business with Zappos. No hassles!!

Very comfortable, wore rafting and worked out great. Got a blister on big toe the first couple of times that I wore them but seems to be better now. Have been living in them ever since.

Chaco's Unaweep in Desert Rose - Love It!!!! I'm a size 7 1/2 and I ordered a size 7. The sandal fits me perfectly. I'm a "Hip" full time mom and I love how the sandal compliments everything I wear. Not to mention how comfortable they were. I'm planning on ordering the Wrhapsody (slip on version) next. Awesome Buy.

Great shoe - Great support for a sandal. The adjustable strap is really nice as you are able to get a perfectly snug fit. With the arch support and straps holding your foot, these feel really secure. Only one star off for the appearance of the big black sole--but since this is what makes the shoe so comfortable, it's totally livable.

Chaco’s are THE best - and the company is, too! I've had my pair of Z/1s for more than 8 years now and have had them on hiking trips, river trips and worn them just about every day that I could. I love that they can be resoled and re-webbed and over the years I've had them resoled twice. I recently sent them back for a webbing repair and, without going into details, had the absolute best customer service experience of my life. I already raved about these sandals to everyone I knew and converted quite a few people, but now I'm here not only to say that they're the best sandals out there, but that Chaco is the best sandal company out there. Thanks Chaco!

LOVE THESE! This is a great looking shoe! More than that, it is extremely comfortable. I've been wearing these everyday since I took them out of the box. I feel like nothing is on my feet, yet they're rugged and I can take my dog on walks through the trails with them with no problems. The size was right on as I'm a solid 8, but sometimes order up a half size. The 8 fit me perfectly!

Better than Tevas any day - I used to be a faithful Teva wearer until about 8 years ago when I bought my first pair of Chacos. I haven't turned back. I now have 4 pairs and they are my summer shoe staple.

I would live in them year round - This is my second pair of Chaco’s. I wanted the new lighter sole and a different print, but to resole is somewhat expensive. If it wasn't for the snow, I would live in them all year. I love that they are machine washable. As for sizing, I'm a very regular 9 with a narrow heel, for Chaco’s I needed an 8 and almost went with a wide. I tried on several in real life, but came to Zappos for the color I wanted.

I love these shoes - Great all around shoes. I use them for hiking, swimming and everyday wear. Always comfortable. Look great.

Great for Hiking - I personally wouldn't choose these for fashion, but they are great for the purpose they are designed for. I bought these to hike in Arches with all the sand and water. Tried Teva's, but the straps were bulky and itchy. Decided on Chaco’s, and I'm glad I did, because these are really the perfect sport sandal. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I would suggest going a size down if you are between sizes. I am a 6.5, ordered the 6 and 7 and although they were both OK, the arch hit me in a better place with the 6.

3rd pair of Chaco’s - I spend almost all year in my sandals so I broke the last pair of Z/1’s. I bike ride and climb ladders in them (not sure that's the best idea). But they are so supportive. Can’t get them where I live so I had them shipped to a friend to bring them down. Now I am walking everywhere again. I have a hard time finding shoes with enough support. I love these.

Love them Chaco’s - My daughter has Chaco's, and said, Mom, try them, you will love them! I have a high arch and a hard time finding good sandals. So, I bought some, and yes, I love them! Thanks for the great service! I will be a Zappos regular!

These are comfortable, but honestly not cute at all on my short, wide feet. They might have been better had colors other than black been available in wide. Also, they are long in the heel; to fit the arch support, the back strap did not even touch my heel.

These provide great arch support. The insole is rough, though so I added a softer layer. They are good walking sandals.

I wear a 7-1/2, and you have probably noticed the shoe does not come in half sizes. I decided to try a 7, which worked well. In the summer, my feet have a tendency to swell, so the fit is a bit tight on those days. Otherwise, I am enjoying the sandals quite a lot. I walk frequently, and I wear these in the evenings when I do. So far, I am most satisfied with them.

These shoes have excellent arch support, which is all I can wear anymore. You have to get used to the texture of the insole, it bothered me at first, but then after I wore them for a few days, I didn't notice it. I wore them hiking in the desert of Arizona, and in the rain of Oregon, and they worked great in both climates. They are also more attractive than a lot of the athletic sandals out there.
