This is my second pair. The service was (as usual) outstanding, good packing, fast, early delivery. Chaco\'s are not light weight (flip flops). I enjoy the comfort and support but some folks might not like the added weight.

These shoes were a present for my husband. He had a pair previously that lasted him 10 years! He was down though to sewing the strap which had broken after 10 years of hard use. He gives these sandals his highest rating.

Chaco sandals are awesome! They are unmatched in proper support for your feet in a comfortable sandal. The arch support is amazing and walking is a pleasure in Chaco. The Z/1 Unaweep is my favorite shoe for work and for leisure. I am a teacher and do lots of walking and standing in the course of a day at school. My feet are always comfortable in my Chaco sandals. Fitting is a breeze and the strap system makes it possible for the shoe to be just for you. No one size fits all here. The fact that Chaco sandals are designed and made in the USA makes me feel patriotic, too! Comfortable feet makes any day a joy! Thanks Chaco!

I ordered this shoe in black and brown leather for my significant other because he is always complaining that his shoes are not comfortable. After he put them on and adjusted the strap he said they felt a bit strange, that was last month and I have not seen him wear anything else since he got these Chacos! I wear them myself so I know they are the best!

These were purchased for one of my sons, but all four kids (2 boys, 2 girls) wear these Chacos and love them. They are extremely durable and can go right into the laundry for a deep clean.

I usually order shoes with caution due to the diabetic neuropathy in my feet. The previous reviews really eased my mind and I am glad they did. Ever since I got them out of the box these shoes fit! There was no breaking them in either. The straps are so adjustable when my feet are new to the day in the morning I adjust the straps and go! At the end of the day I have some swelling, and I adjust the straps and go! I ordered the men’s size 8 because I liked the strap color better than the women’s choices. This switcheroo was fine I wore a women’s size 9. Fit was awesome, these shoes are adjustable to my changing feet needs, and they do not rub, pinch, or hurt my feet at all. I love them.

This is my second pair of Chaco...the first purchased a few years back and still wearable even though I wear sandals 90% of the year...even to weddings and such.....I will hike with them in the beautiful mountains around Sandpoint...they are good in the water, walking through streams....

I bought these for my husband. He loved them, no trial period, no testing it on carpet. he put them on and went out the door. Had my father in law try them on and now he has a pair. I have a pair on the way. these shoes have great arch support. adjustable straps. They feel a little heavy at first but once you have them on, your feet are never tired. We live in north Florida- so these are great for the hot weather and we are always out doors. The material dries fast if you are playing in the water or just hosing them down. higly recommended

I have Plantars Faciatis and these are the first sandals I have found that work. I wouldn't go hiking in them (no ankle support) but for normal walking around the house, grocery store and other paved activities tasks they are great.

Great "travel around the world" in sandal. Although it's a little heavy, the Chaco is the best sandal for rafting, light hiking, rock scrambling and lounging. If in decent climate, you may forget about your shoes as you'll be wearing these constantly. Really durable too. I checked out all sandals, Teva's, etc... and this is the best one hand's down!

The Chaco Z/1 Unaweep is a classic. This is my second pair. (I could have had the first pair resoled, but I completely wore them down into the bed of the shoe so, oh well, gotta get new ones!) In the summertime, they are my footwear of choice. For a sandal, they have surprising arch support. And once you get the straps properly adjusted - takes about a minute - they are custom-fitted to your feet. The only time I’ve had to adjust the straps is if I wear a sock or liner with them. Great for hiking, camping, water walking, around town, and the office if you can get away with it. Give yourself a couple weeks to get used to them before taking any major hikes. Other than that, they’ll become like a part of your foot!

I wanted a pair of Tevas for my birthday but my wife got me Chacos instead. I was a Teva wearer for many years and was skeptical at first of the latch system on the Chacos and thought they looked a little bit girlie but after wearing these all summer long I am now a convert and a Chaco man for life! I highly recommend.

Love Chacos! Bought these for my husband. He loves them. He likes this style because the strap doesn't go between his toes. He loves the arch support. Worth the money you'll spend because they last for years and they are a classic style.

Chaco sandals - I was a little hesitant to order these, especially with the price tag, which is a bit heavy for sandals. That being said, my feet are terribly flat and normal flip flops were not cutting it. I got the shoes a couple days after ordering with the free shipping option, so needless to say, the service from Zappos is outstanding and I would not hesitate to use them again. The shoes fit great, I ordered my regular athletic shoe size and they are a tad bigger, but not enough to order a larger size. My service from Zappos was great and I am highly satisfied with my new Chacos.

Chaco's Z/1 Unaweep review - I am 66 years old and have been wearing this type footwear almost exclusively for about six years, including on hikes in swamps and forests in Florida, on mountain and canyon trails in Montana and Utah, in tropical rain forests in Honduras and Costa Rica, and on the tundra in ANWR in northeast Alaska. I also use them as my normal, every day footwear. They are very reliable, rugged, comfortable, durable, and are good for almost any situation.

Fabulous Shoe! Our family has enjoyed Chaco shoes for several years. I ordered this shoe for my son who is in 5th grade and has outgrown the little boy sizes. He needed a sturdy shoe that could be worn on the playground and would provide good support throughout the school day. This is a great shoe and looks nice. What was especially wonderful was that I didn't have to leave my house to find a shoe that fit him! We had tried that a couple of times, which left us BOTH exhausted and frustrated! Thanks, Zappos, for having such a great variety of sizes - and for delivering shoes so quickly (and for making returns hassle-free).

Once you get the right size, these sandals are awesome! I wear a 9 to 9½ men's, when I got my first pair they felt horrible and were way too big. After a few returns, I landed on the size 8 and they not only fit perfectly, they feel amazing! It is critical to get the right size so that the arch support is where it is supposed to be.

If your feet aren't accustomed to sandals, Chaco's will kick your butt while you break them in, but they're great! Very sturdy and I feel like they're going to last me a long, long time.

Worked well for hiking in Northern California. High quality. Be patient with adjustment of straps to get a great fit. It's worth it.

So I will start off by saying I love my Chacos! They fit great and they are super comfortable. I only have 1 complaint...the weight. At 1lb 6oz these sandals weigh more than my hiking shoes! Unless you are going to be hiking in these, I suggest you get the pro soles or the yumbas. They are lighter and you will appreciate that if you are only using these for everyday activities. If Chacos co. would lessen the weight of these they would have perfect sandals!

These are great for playing in the creek, walking on the beach, or just wearing around the house! They are heavy and that is the only reason they didn't get 5 stars!
