I have neuropathy in my feet. So wearing sandals is painful for me. I like them but the tops of my feet are very sensitive. So it is painful wearing them.

These sandals are nice looking and comfortable. I believe the price is too high in comparison with Teva and even Rockport. Will stick with the lower price sandals. Purchased these just to see how much better the more expensive ones compared to lesser prices ones. Not worth it.

The width was much too narrow. I think most men over 35 have relatively wide feet. It would be nice if you offered a variety of widths. Also a leather sole might cut down on foot odor. The foam padded insole that you use wears off in no time and I was left with bare rubber. The traction on these sandals is magnificent.

I like these sandals, they are comfortable and appear to be well made. The only problems I had with them is: the material on the footbed would squeak as I walked after just a few steps and the side strap seemed to rub uncomfortably on my feet. Also, I'd like to see these available in wide sizes as well.

This is a very comfortable, well-designed sandal. The rugged sole is perfect for the Urban Jungle in the summertime. Very happy with this first Ecco sandal purchase.

Well made and comfortable. I've had some issues with some other Ecco shoes having a sole that quickly wore down -- but these are fine and are holding up great. Toe straps are a little too large and far forward, but not really a problem.

These are extremely soft and comfortable overall. Good things: nearly indestructible by water and muck, as far as I can tell. The insole does fray fairly quickly but is still comfy. They are "handsome" and adaptable to various clothing styles. Connected to this point, they wash easily in the shower and they dry quickly. Drawbacks: a little on the dark side (colorwise), with a black sole and insole and dark leather. But that allows me to wear them to more formal events. Also, a slightly odd sole form: initially I felt I was wearing man-heels. Sizing: I take 12 in Adidas shoes and 11 in this sandal.

I really like these sandals but they just don't last very long. I bought my first pair in Oct '07 and my second pair in Apr '09. That's 18 months and, admittedly, I wear them a lot. When I'm not at work or walking barefoot at home and it's not the dead of winter, I've got them on. When the second pair wore out in July '10 (and they always wear out in the same place, ie, the heel strap), I decided to try something else. If they would do something about the heel strap I'd buy them again.

Very comfortable sandal. The sandal is very attractive and comfortable. I spent 10-12 hours walking in my Eccos in Rome on my honeymoon and they were extremely comfortable. I did develop blisters on the backside of the ankle strap, however that probably had something to do with walking in them for 10-12 hours. Great sandals!

WOW! What a great sole. I have a hurting foot. Heel actually; plantar fasciitis. These are great to walk around it. Very soft, comfortable foot bed. Only problem is sizing. I wear a 12 in most shoes. So I ordered the 12-12 1/2. Man they’re big. I'm sending them back to get the next size smaller. But Zappos is great about that.

Too narrow for large, D width feet. The sandals are well made and the footbed appears very supportive, but unless you have a little delicate Cinderella foot, (a big man's foot will not fit into these without comically hanging off the sides of the sole) these won't work for you. I wear a D in Birkenstock and boots. D in this brand is about as wide as a banana. Going back to Birkenstocks.

I bought these hoping to find something close to as comfortable as some Reefs I bought a few years. Reef stopped making the strap on style, so after much research, I found these to look promising. I wear size 9 shoes, and since people said these are true to size that was what I bought. Big mistake. They were much too big. I had to return them and try the size 8. The size 8 fit nicely, and the straps and heel felt great, but at the toe bed there is a raised portion that runs and digs into the soles of my toes. I tried them for about ten minutes, and just couldn't make them not irritate me. I am sure if I kept wearing them, they would result in a blister. So, back they went. Still looking to find something even half as good as my Reefs.

The footbed was a perfect fit and very comfortable. However, the sole is too stiff, the straps are too stiff, the ankle strap cut into my ankle. The stretch band with the adjustment strap hugged too tightly. The band left deep marks in my foot after 2 hours of just sitting around the house with the strap adjusted to the width of my foot. Sorry, must return.

The shoe sizing was good, but the sandals have a built-up heel that was awkward and uncomfortable - made me feel like I was walking in high heels. I could not get used to that.

I love the looks of this sandal and initial comfort. I tried three different sizes as there is a very firm, pronounced footbed arch that I presumed is to be under your toes. I always buy a U.S. size 9 or 9.5. I tried Ecco sizes 42, 43, 44 -- and settled for the 43. I wore these sandals for several long walks but developed quite severe metatarsalgia (pain in the ball of my feet). I gave them a few weeks rest and tried again. Same pain returned. I hope Zappos will take them back or I will donate them somewhere.

Originally bought these to replace Merrells. The QC on the Merrells had dropped off considerably. The Eccos got such good reviews yet I had a horrible experience ending with a couple trips to the podiatrist and bad case of neuroma. There is a raised area in the center of the bed near the intermetatarsal neuroma that I didn't notice at first that it aggravated the nerve in my foot. Part of the problem with these sandals for me, aside from the raised area in the foot bed, was the strap across the balls of the feet and toes. It is only partially adjustable although it looks to be fully adjustable in the pictures. I have a narrow foot and it was still too tight. Apparently most people get along okay with these sandals but for me the Eccos turned out to be one of the worst buys ever. Buyer beware.
