I purchased these for my husband for his birthday. His old ones were completely worn out from weekend and beach wear. They were a perfect fit, and he enjoys the sturdiness of this sandal. Of course, Zappos wonderful customer service makes every purchase more enjoyable! Many thanks.

My feet are wide and many size 12s are too tight. Not so here. Having 3 points of adjustment works great for me. I have been hiking twice in extremely rocky and steep terrain with no problem. Ridiculously comfortable. Arch support with a rigid sole are a must! I hike a lot on lava caps which bruise the feet badly otherwise. Actually quite perfect for anything.

The Black/Mole/Black ones are way darker than the photo. They look black, in fact. And the orange accent on the straps is a little more vivid. I'm returning my size 44 because they are 1 size too big, and I wear a 10 normally. Also the heel strap falls lower on the heel than I like. But this could be because they are too big. Ordering the size 43 with fingers and toes crossed. Even though they didn't fit, I can tell that they are the Cadillac of sandals. So comfy and soft!

I continue to acquire the same brand and model of these Sandals for the past 7 years and Ecco just keeps improving them. I highly recommend you trying it out and then you tell me if I'm right.

This is hands-down the most amazing shoe I've ever worn. It's comfortable, it's protective of my ankles, the arch support is perfect, and I can wear them all day long hiking, walking, standing, touristing, driving, beaching, whatever. Cleaning them is a bit of a pain, and wearing all day in all terrains can lead to cleaning necessities, but if this is the only downfall to the amazing comfort that is this shoe, so be it!

I have arthritis in my feet and very little cartilage left. I walk every day and play sports. This sandal is no less than a miracle for me. I wear them with good socks and am pain free after hours of walking or sports. I even wear them on the court because no other shoe leaves me pain free. My biggest fear is that Ecco will stop making these sandals. I truly love this sandal! It lets me compete at a high level for many hours whereas even the best court shoe brands (and best walking shoes) leave me hurting. I buy the men's because the women's do not fit when I add good socks (I am female).

I've had my shoes since December '04, originally as slippers after foot surgery. The fact they helped ease my back pains and allows me to walk stretches at a time was a bonus - still is. It is November 2010 and I am still wearing them! Nursing my usage nowadays - I have made them last, 'cause honestly, I haven't found another pair of shoes to compare - they don't make my feet ache or give me foot cramps; they ease my lower back ache when I wear them all day. I'm dreading the day they fall apart on me. The back isn't quite like this picture. There's a strip attached that I have sort of put a hole in over the years, and the velcro is finally wearing out. I'd recommend this shoe style to anyone. And a new pair is on my wish list for Santa.

Great Sandal - I purchased the Ecco Yucatan Sandal for my husband for a Florida vacation. He has difficulty finding a comfortable shoe and sandals. His previous sandal was a Mephisto but we just couldn't rationalize their price with this current economy. I read the reviews on this sandal and I liked the looks of the Yucatan style so we gave it a try. He did break them in a bit first by wearing around the house a hour each eve about a week before we left and he thought that at first the arch seemed too high so I was skeptical. But by the time we traveled he wore them daily during the 9 day trip and said that they were very comfortable, actually he commented “the most comfortable footwear he's ever worn”, and encouraged me to comment on your site to say how much he likes them. I love that Zappos has such a variety of sizes and I have purchased several shoes for my small hard to find sz 5 feet, and been amazed at the expedient delivery and great customer service that Zappos provides! Reading comments and reviews has been very helpful in choosing the right shoe. Thanks Zappos for a great company where customer service is paramount!

We're going to Hawaii in January and I was haven't difficulty finding sandals at this time of year that weren't just flip flops, so Zappos met the test! These are durable and practical ...the only problem is my feet have a weird tan pattern.

Great sandal - This sandal is awesome. Four of us wore our 'Yucatans' all over Italy, and two of us are continuing our comfort...on Maui. Clearly this is the best sandal that any of us has ever owned. Enjoy!!

Walking Sandal - I ordered these for my husband after a 15 mile walk (on concrete) in Seattle. His feet hurt. I got on Zappos and read reviews of sandals and these were suggested as very comfortable. My husband swears by them now! Will be ordering more Ecco shoes in future.

Thanks Ecco for 12 1/2 sandals. I wear 12 1/2 and have a real problem finding 12 1/2 size shoes of all types. These sandals fit great, feel great, and are good looking.

Ecco Performance Yucatan Sandal - Great sandal. I have very flat feet and normally wear custom orthotics. This sandal is extremely comfortable and looks good too. Plus it is extremely well made. I've had Ecco sandals before and they last a long time. Expensive, but worth it.

Fantastic! This is my 2nd pair - I had my 1st pair about 5 years and wore them 90% of the time about 7 months out of the year. I wore them hiking and river/ocean swimming. They mold beautifully to your feet; feels like you are walking barefoot with support.

As good as it gets!!! This little sandal is an amazing treat for the feet! I really was curious to see if the previous positive reviews were going to be true for me – and they absolutely were. The shoe felt like it was made for my foot as soon as I put it on. It was comfortable and almost "cozy." I also ordered the brown pair after realizing what a good fit and solid performer this sandal truly was.

Ecco comfort outstanding - Great sandals very comfortable fit well. I will definitely buy another pair. Zappos once again goes above and beyond service. A lot of companies can learn a lot from Zappos.

Expensive, But Worth Every Penny - I was a little worried spending this much on a pair of sandals, but sandals are typically what I wear when I'm not at work. I returned a pair of Fitzwell's that cost half as much and got these instead. These are truly amazing. Incredibly comfortable out of the box and have excellent arch support to alleviate the planter fasciitis I have in my left foot. The size seems right on the money, both length and width. These have a bit more room to adjust than the Fitzwell's I tried, so these really can accommodate a half size different either way. I would suggest erring on the large side when ordering. The "insert" (if such a thing exists on a sandal) is more like an orthotic than other sandals I've seen. It's glued in place, of course, but theoretically you might be able to remove it to put custom orthotics in. I wouldn't risk it, but if one was dead set on wearing sandals with custom orthotics, these would be the ones I'd try. I ordered these over the weekend from Zappos. They were on my doorstep on Tuesday. Holy cow.

Very comfortable adjustable sandals - The Tivo's I've had irritated my feet and were never really comfortable. These sandals are soft on my poor tender feet and comfortable for wearing for long periods of time. Worth the extra price.

Perfect fit right out of the box - My husband was replacing some Nike sandals that he loved, and he was hesitant about the price on these Ecco's. Well...not anymore! He LOVED the comfort right out of the box. He's a 10.5 with a fairly wide foot, and the 44's fit him just right. Plus, he's received several compliments on how attractive the bison/black are. Definitely worth the money.
