I had my first pair of Reef for 7 years when they began to give out. I bought another pair in 2016 and those began to fall apart within a year (wish i had known about the guarantee then). I bought another pair in 2017 and they would still be wearable if the toe strap layers didn't start coming apart. Now I am past the 1 year mark and can't get them replaced. I really love these flip flops but at $55 a pair to have them fall apart each year is getting expensive. Having a hard time deciding if it's worth chancing another $55 bucks.

These flip flops are the best, but the colours aren'y my favourites. Would love some in earth tone colours

the sole is too hard(-star), and i had bruise after walking with it for few days on my left foot(-1 star). Had a size 10 but was too big but size 9 is too tight. consider to make a 9.5?

These were great until I realized the bottle opener on the sole felt like a big rock stuck under my feet.

Actually I'm kind of bummed about these. I was super excited to order my correct size after trying on a different color in the store. These came having what MUST be the case of already worn. They had grass clippings on the sole and were extremely stretched out. Like the tops don't even touch my feet. So weird as I've never had anything from Reef like that. I'm sending back for a replacement pair and hopefully I can get some that are brand new as I really do want these.

Fell apart after one year. Had to buy a new pair. If it happens again my review will change dramatically.

Like the look of them. They are not as comfortable as my previous ones from the same manufacturer. They run REALLY SMALL. I'm a size 8 and their size 10 fits me.

First off, I LOVE Reef flops so much. My last pair lasted 8 years, 5 of those years worn daily year round. Broken hearted not to be able to replace them. So I got these, don't love them. Why? The STUPID bottle opener design on the bottom of not only one of them but both. They catch on everything. And if that's not enough, gross, gross, gross to be expected to open bottles with something from the bottom of your shoe? Oh sorry for the crud on your bottle, it's from my shoe. Have the person responsible for that idea take the day off and think up a better design. Buy Reef flops, just not this design.

My first choice is barefooting it. When I can't bare the terrain or heat my reef Phantoms have been my answer for the past few years. Took a chance on upgrading to the Fanning. Construction is great and look/feel like they will out last the Phantoms. Fit is true to size, but only giving 3 stars because the elevated heal is not the best design for my type of foot, longer toes medium width. Foot slides forward causing stress between large and second toe..did not happen with Phantoms. If there is a next time will try Fanning low. Also need to resolve the issue with logo peeling up on heal pad..only took a few hours of wear for that to occur. Of course bottle opener rocks!

I liked the look and style of these flip-flops and they fit pretty well. Size 13 felt true to size. But the bottle opener - while a very cool concept - made then feel heavier than I liked since I wanted them for the beach and casual outdoor wear. I didn't keep them.

My husband has been wearing this flip flop for YEARS. As a pair gets old, we replace it. He loves them. This year, I ordered him a pair in his size and they are too small. They are a size 13. We held them up to his other pair, also a 13, and the new pair is noticeably smaller. He wore them around before I noticed that his heel was right at the edge, which is when we compared them, so I can't return them now. Some consistency in sizing would be nice. Other than that the quality is still good. Just too bad they don't fit. We won't buy again bc that is the largest size and now, after at least 6 years of wearing this exact style and size, they're too small.

I feel like the quality of the fanning has gone down hill considerably and the price keeps going up, I have always been happy with them up until about 3 pairs ago when they keep coming apart between my toe and to get the company to replace them is super complicated and timely, I don't have time to send a bunch of pictures and receipts etc just to get a replacement under warranty. I have been a loyal customer to reef for many many years.

You must size up. I'm an 8.5, so I usually order 9. My husband had already bought a pair and had to return for next size up. But then they fit pretty sloppy. Toes instead of hills hang over. Weird... maybe they are only for walking in sand ??

I love my Reefs! I ordered a pair for my wife but they were a size too small and I returned them the next day. I am still waiting for a refund to buy the right size. I don't like their exchange policy...it doesn't exist. You have to return the order, which takes 7-10 days to process, then it takes that long to get the refund. I ordered next day on the 13th of May. They came in quickly, but now it's the 30th and I still don't have my new pair. Good company, great product, not my favorite return experience. Looking forward to my gift finally being here!

I'd love to tell you that they fit great , but I had to send them back. I have a narrow foot , and when I lifted my foot they would fall off. They were everything they said they would be , good quality, good looking , but way to loose.Really nice sandal for someone that can wear them.

I will give the shoes a 4 star very comfortable. But don't trust the colors in the pictures!!!! I thought the ones I got where going to have the light teal color on top and they are white!!!!

I bought them because the Fanning is the same style I have now, but the new one is all man-made materials -- not as nice as the leather upper pair I have now. And the new sandals, also size 8, are slightly smaller. Not disappointed enough to send them back though.

I only wear this flip flop style. However, I have only bought 1 new pair in the last couple years because the colors have become so limited. I'm down to black/gold, white/grey, green/yellow and plain black. I would purchase more shoes if I had more color options. Even across the men's, the colors are becoming boring.

My husband and I purchased a total of three pairs of Reefs before vacation, we both have bleeding raw skin on the tops of our feet. I think the shoes will be good once broken in, hopefully?

The men's Fanning have many more choices for color combinations - what is up with that? I wear mine all summer long - dog walks, gardening and errands.

I have worn Reef Fannings for about 6 years. I really like the support and feel because I have some ankle issues. However I have had a few of the same colors and same model that were different in quality. They did not last as long with the bindings or the sole itself. Which concerns me. It would be great if the product was manufactured in the US or somewhere besides China. How many manufacturing sites are there ? Maybe something has changed in quality but price has gone up. Shopping for US made or other countries producing products besides China now. Bindings stretch out sooner than the past products I had.

Love the comfort and lack of the flip flop sound with these sandals. Just bought my second pair at Christmas and I could not wear them due to the straps being so tight on my instep. Tried to wear them all week in vacation in Cabo but they were so tight on my instep that my foot was starting to bruise. Hi instep customers be aware.
