Nice shoe, attractive tennis show and light weight. Hope it's washable.

I was excited I found these "retro" looking Tretorn shoes. These shoes definitely don't have the support they used to in the '80s but they are a cute shoe for running around. By the way, these shoes are more off white and not bright white if that matter to you.

This Tretorn canvas shoe is the classiest sneaker around today. It isn't clunky yet it has all the comforts one would expect in a sneaker. I would suggest ordering your normal size. It is a true-to-fit sneaker.

I am delighted that my favorite sneaks from my high school days are back on the market. These new Tretorns look just like the old ones and fit just like the old ones, but don't have the same cushy terrycloth lining or padding. The canvas is also a little bit flimsier than what I remember the original had and is definitely more ivory than white. This hasn't stopped me from wearing these preppy sneaks just about every day since they arrived. The sole is still very thick and sturdy, and the pink color is super cute.

I loved these shoes in the early 90's but was disappointed the style changed so much. The inside of the shoe is not as soft. The pink is nice though. I will keep these shoes for going out and about with my two small boys but I doubt I'll order another pair down the road since they are less supportive than I anticipated. I also ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear and they just fit.

These are cool shoes. The heel slides off every once in awhile, so I need to tie them up tightly to prevent this. Otherwise, they are very comfortable.

I always loved the fit and feel of these tennis shoes. They are impossible to find until Zappos. Thanks for keeping my 80 year old feet comfortable!

I love these "old school" tennis shoes. I used to wear these years ago, and I am glad to see they are back. Comfy and cute!

Love these shoes! Casual yet stylish. More feminine and comfortable than Converse. Very happy with my purchase.

Fit true to size and surprisingly comfortable considering there is little support. Love the retro look!

I bought two pair of Tretorns so my daughter and I could match this summer. I wore these all through High School, had owned countless pairs and loved them. I must concur with the other reviews I read about them being more cheaply made and not as sturdy or cushioned. They are not. I'm keeping them strictly for nostalgia. Still love the design, wish they were made like 25 years ago.

This is a great little every day shoe. Comfortable, true to size fit and not outrageously expensive. I always have a pair in my closet.

Wow. Severely cheap shoe. Would return but my daughter spilled chocolate milk on them. So I guess I have new garage shoes.

Tretorn tennies are the most comfortable shoes ever invented. I've enjoyed them for years. They are made of lightweight canvas that washes well in the machine, wears well and feels great. I wear them all summer especially when sandals aren't enough. Love 'em forever.

Nike's are good too, particularly for walking and running.

Very cute shoe and comfy. As everyone else has said, not the same as years ago but still very preppy and comfortable. Ran true to size for me.

The canvas upper is NOT a BRIGHT white, like the "old school" version - it is a dingier white than the shoelaces AND rubber bottom. I ordered some from Lands End, and sent them back due to the (dis)coloration. Shame on Tretorn!

After reading the negative comments, I still decided to purchase these sneakers as I loved them as a kid and wore them all the time. Unfortunately, the reviews were accurate. They are cheaply made with no padding. If you want a basic canvas sneaker with no frills, then this is for you but I own many much more comfortable casual shoes/sneakers that I would wear over these.

I've been wearing these shoes for more than 30 years! Love the comfort and the fact that you can toss them into the wash and they come out clean without losing their shape. Caution, I wear a 9 in everything, but a 9.5 in this shoe. You may need a half size larger, particularly if you plan to wash and dry them.

Since I wore these growing up, and loved them even into early adulthood, I've been buying them for my ten year old daughter. They add a classic touch to a school uniform that you can't spruce up much. I reordered my first pair in about 15 years, and received them today. I was severely disappointed at the lack of quality and the cheap appearance. They fit smaller as well. I had read the same complaints before ordering, but because my daughter's pair had been exactly as I'd remembered, I chose to order anyway. The terry cloth lining is gone. There is no cushion, and the shoestrings were cheap and too short. The color was a dingy white, as well. Worse than being disappointed, I'm sad. Seeing my daughter wear hers brings back many fond memories. I seriously doubt anyone will wear these as religiously as I did for any length of time. They are terrible! Tretorn should be ashamed!!!

Tretorn's were all the rage when I was in high-school, so it was neat that I could still buy these. They aren't as thick and heavy as I remember them, but I still love them. They came two days after I ordered them. Zappos is absolutely great to deal with!

Quality of the materials are not the same quality of my previous pairs of Tretorn. I have loved this style of Tretorn since they first became famous as the tennis shoes professional players wore. We are talking 45 years of quality shoes. Until now.....

I wore these sneakers a lot in the 1980s and loved them. This new "Tretorn" may look like the sneaker from the 80s but "appearance" and certainly not fit is the only way that the new sneaker resembles the original. This model lacks the wonderful padding and support; the fabric is cheap and flimsy and there is little foot support, in my opinion. Prediction: if the company produced an actual quality duplicate of the original at a more premium price, its loyal customers would line up in droves!

I have worn Tretorn tennis shoes for 30 years and have tried the big names and usually end up giving them away before they get soiled! Love my Tretorn's!
