I grew up wearing Tretorns, and this shoe is not the same. Runs a little larger than the original, probably because they left out the famous terry lining and generous padding. This shoe is going back. I'm soo disappointed. Another good thing from days gone ruined. Ugh.

Shoes aren't as sturdy as I remember them being, but they are good quality. They do run a bit big. I normally wear a 9, but ordered a 9.5 based on other reviews here. This will allow some shrinkage when I wash and dry them.

These are great sneakers! Perfect with shorts or jeans when a running shoe would look too clunky. They're comfortable and durable. I usually wear a size 9 shoe, but a 91/2 in running shoes. I ordered a 91/2 in these and they are comfy, but I think a 9 would've worked just as well.

Love these...had them in Middle school back in the day. Great to wear without socks. Ordered a 9 which is always my size but had to exchange for a 8 1/2...still a little big but if you wash them they do shrink a bit.

They came exactly as ordered in a speedy way. I have been enjoying wearing them this summer...they're very comfortable.

I used to wear these back in high school in the '80s and in a nostalgic moment I ordered a pair! Size-wise they ran just the tiniest bit small. I used to wear a 9 back then but my toes were right up to the end in these. Definitely no room for any type of socks. My feet may well have become a little larger over the years but I suspect a 9 1/2 would be slightly too big. Width was okay and even while trying on they started to feel more comfortable in the few minutes I had them on. They don't seem as comfy as I remember, as someone else mentioned they used to be terry lined and now it's just cheaper thinner material. Style still looked nice on the foot, just unfortunate that so many companies have gone to making cheaper quality items over the years.

I used Tretorn 20 years ago for tennis, then I got into the heavier "Newer" shoes, well I'm back and they are great! Lighter and still fashionable!

I have worn Tretorn since I was a young girl. They still are a great shoe. Zappos always has the right product at the right price with free, quick delivery.

I normally wear a size 8, so I ordered an 8. With socks, the 8 was a little short. So I am returning for an 8½. The width was fine, but I have narrow feet. The shoes are comfortable and the fabric was soft. I like the old-fashioned style and since I do not intend to wear these for athletic activities, I do not need the support and cushioning of bulkier shoes.

Love these shoes! Wore them constantly in the '80s and love having them again. No support of any kind but a great slip on shoe.

Poor workmanship on the inside. Inside not as soft/cushiony as the old model. Outside looks the same.

I had a pair of these about 25 years ago and wore them to death. These are a pale imitation: canvas is on the insubstantial side and no cushioning in the heel collar. This used to be one sturdy sneaker--I don't know how long the current incarnation would survive the wash and dry cycles, which is one of the selling points of canvas sneakers. Returned these pretty sneakers, because that's really all they are. Pretty. Still a huge Zappos fan, though.

Love these shoes! They bring back good memories. I had exactly the same pair 15 years ago. The style, comfort, quality and classic look has not changed. Get these! You'll be glad you did.

I was hesitant to order these after reading so many reviews about how they had changed over the years. I am so glad I ordered them anyway! I love these shoes! They are slightly different from the '80s version in that they don't have terry cloth around the heel (the kids version appears to have it though). The other difference is that they seem more padded on the footbed. I remember them being hard on the foot before and these new ones are super comfy all day- very cushy for a flat shoe. I did order a half size bigger than my normal shoe size, but I do that with all my sneakers. They are awfully cute too - much girlier than Converse.

Just like the good old days. These are the shoes my mom wouldn't buy me in the '70s - finally I've got them! They're comfy and have more support than Keds, but still not a lot. Definitely canvas-color, not bleached bright white. They're lightweight and really hug your foot.

I bought these to wear to The Masters because I had read a review saying that they were comfortable and supportive. They were wonderful! Plus, they look good with shorts.

I am a product of the 80's and Tretorns, Davey's, and Dolphin shorts all take me back. This shoe is fantastic. It fits true to size and conforms to my feet. I have wide flat feet but with these shoes I feel like I have all the support I need. They are great.

Really disappointing. I loved these as a kid, and they are nothing like they used to be. Run extremely small. But the really disappointing part is how cheaply made they now are. Gone is the wonderful terry cloth lining and substantial fabric of the shoe. Returned right away.

This style Tretorn are what I have worn for the past 5-6 years. I am not very athletic so I enjoy the light weight comfortable fit of this shoe. It is not a proper choice if you intend it for sports, but very nice to wear walking on vacation.

I bought a pair of shoes; well, I ordered the wrong size. I called them and they sent me my size the very next day and gave me a return label to send the others back. That was awesome. Shop with them. It's great and if you happen to get the wrong thing they will fix it immediately. I will shop again.

I wore these as a kid, and then for many years wore the major tennis shoe brands. I've recently gone back to these to solve some support issues with my foot and ankle muscles. Wearing these along with the 5-finger shoes fixed my foot issues in a matter of weeks. It did the trick. These are so comfortable too. Good all-around soft tennis sneaker. Great for walking too. Love the classic design as well. Thanks for carrying these!

These are not your original Tretorn sneakers. To my mind they are not as sturdy as they used to be. But having said that I am happy with my purchase. These sneakers weigh practically nothing so packing them does not make my suitcase 15 pounds heavier. They do run half a size small, so buy up.

I have worn Tretorns since the early 70s. At the time they were the absolute best for comfort, padding and durability. Now, I still wear them because, unfortunately, they are the best available. Interior padding is very lacking, and I miss the terry collar around the top of the shoe. They are still comfortable for knock around shoes, and look okay. Shame that even the really good companies have to cut corners. I would pay more to have the originals back.

Wonderful as has been over the years... no other sports shoe fits exactly like Tretorns.

Love these shoes! Comfy and remind me of my days as a kid, without looking dorky or too trendy.
