Love the comfort and style of the shoe! Definitely had to go half a size down and happy I chose to do so because they stretch. I usually wear a size 8 in womens and got a size 7.5 and they fit comfortably and have stretched to the perfect fit! I'm a little bummed because the stitching has become frayed on one of my shoes in the 2 weeks that I have owned mine and I take very good care of my Sperry's. I also don't really care for the lacing on the Classic Brown Leather, the inside of the lacing has almost a green tint which is a weird contrast with the dark brown. BUT overall I am very happy with my purchase and am going to buy another pair in the sahara brown color :)

I have eight pairs of SPERRY shoes and love them. I bought this pair to replace an existing pair that I have worn out. Unfortunately, this pair of shoes does not have the same comfortable insole as my others have and I really miss it. Please go back to the prior shoe design and comfort.

I ordered the original boat shoe in a size 9, which is my usual size. They were half a size too big and I had to return them for an 8.5 which I haven't received yet. I also had the same experience as another reviewer in that the shoes did not arrive in pristine condition. They were in a broken down box and only one shoe had any fill in it. Moreover there was what appeared to be a faint oil stain on one of them so I would have had to return them even if they fit. I was surprised that a company like Sperry would send a product to a customer in that condition. But I still love their boat shoe which I actually wear for boating. It's classic and the quality can't be beat notwithstanding this last experience.

This is the first time I've gotten ladies size. Back in the day I had to order men's shoes because I am a size 11. Though it's been a bit since I've owned a pair, I recall the laces being like in the picture. But mine arrived today and they have laces that tie. Was it always like this for the ladies style? Sorry if I seem nitpicky. I can re thread them and tuck the excess in the shoe. I was just curious.

I bought these shoes for my husband. I went based off the size of his other two pair of Sperry's that he has ( 9.5M) and so i ordered that same size. The size was a bit small for him so we had to exchange them for a 10M. Other than this, the style is very nice, classy and he said that they were very comfy.

Leather fraying inside one shoe. Been wearing standard brown leather boat shoes for years. Thought I'd try a different color/style. Top portion (instep) appears too long. Not my favorite style.

Love the look of these. However not a show to walk all day in. It was very helpful to read other reviews, that suggested to tighten laces around entire shoe. Otherwise my heels kept slipping out. Good looking shoe.

Love these shoes! The only thing that prevents me for putting five stars is the shoe laces. The leather strings do come undone a little more than I like, but I do love them still.

I ordered the 8W first and it was too long, so I reordered the 7.5W and it is much better, but still a little to narrow in the front of the shoe. I like them though!

I just ordered my third pair of Docksiders, all three dark brown with the white sole. I got my first pair in 1978 and they lasted until I replaced them in 2006. That pair still fits but looks rough, so I ordered another pair to take on vacation. The first two pairs were 8M and felt great. I have a narrow foot, but the medium width worked for me in the first two pair. So, I ordered 8M for my third pair. They were too wide and way too short. I was afraid an 8 1/2 would still be too short, so I ordered a 9 S. I ordered them yesterday afternoon and they arrived today (love that about Zappos!). These are a tad long and still a bit too wide, but I'm keeping them. I love Docksiders. It's the best shoe to wear with just about anything, and if you're going on a cruise, it's the best shoe to wear. I just need to get acquainted with this new pair. And again, Zappos shipping is phenomenal.

I have always had trouble finding wide shoes that are actually wide enough for my feet. My left is wider than my right. When shoes say that they are wide, they are actually not wide enough for me.

When these first arrived, I was worried they were too small but after wearing them once or twice, they loosened up and fit perfectly. For this reason, I'd say they are true to size. The first couple of wears weren't uncomfortable either, it was just a little tricky to get them on.

I bought these to wear with shorts and polos in the summer. I ordered a half size smaller than I wear in most shoes and the wide width because other Zappos reviewers said they ran narrow, and that worked to get me a pair that fit well. I got the Sahara w/honey and really like the tan sole on these vs. the white that a lot of boat shoes have. They dress up an outfit a bit more than sneakers do, and they're very comfortable and well-made. Zappos delivery could not have been faster or more convenient. I ordered these on a Thursday afternoon and had them on Friday!
