The sandals fit great and the leather replacement looks and feels like real leather so for ~$50 less it is a deal. Only issue I have is when wearing without socks the edges rub my foot, problem of having wide feet.

I know I am bucking the trend here but I did not find these comfortable to walk in. When I placed my foot on the footbed the arch support felt good but as soon as I walked around in them my foot would slide around a bit and be off the mark with the arch support and hence they became uncomfortable. I am a true size 8 foot and tried both a 38 and 39 and still I found that I had to spend too much time trying to keep my foot positioned in the shoe. Didn't work for me, but everyone else here doesn't seem to have a problem with them so go figure.

The description says the narrow will support both narrow and regular width. We purchased the brown in the regular width and the black in the narrow because the regular wasn’t available. The brown was perfect, just like the other pairs of Birkenstocks my daughter has. The black, in the narrow, looked too small on her feet. We double checked the size and made the size was correct but the narrow fit was not a good option for her.

I ordered the regular width rather than the narrow. While the fit is okay now, I've had to buckle at the last notch. But given that over time the material will stretch some, i'm sure these are going to end up being too large, especially in the width which will cause your foot to slide forward a lot more. The material is okay. While it obviously isn't leather, the straps look more plastic than anything. Slightly disappointed with that aspect. This is my fourth pair of Birks, and overall i'm pleased, with the brand, just not so much with this pair.

The fit of these sandals is infuriating. I’m a 5.5 shoe and these were huge on me. Going to kids sizes next.

They were way to big.

I really like Birkenstock sandals. And I read everything about the “narrow” width being adequate in lieu of medium. I did not find these particular sandals to follow those specs. They were very narrow, and I also found the footbed to be very hard and unforgiving. My feet aren’t flat as a board but I don’t have a very high arch either. Between the hard footbed and high arch I couldn’t wear them longer than 15-20 minutes. All that being said, I plan on buying a different pair, different “model” to see if these negatives apply to all their sandals.

Not comfortable for my feet. The sole was not flexible at all, and the arch support was too much. It felt like I was walking on tennis balls.

The size was way too big.

OK now I understand - the "Birko-flor" is actually the upper/ the straps. It means there's a thin slice of leather covering a felt-like product; not the all leather thick straps like on other Birkenstocks. And this footbed (yellow print) is different with a wider toe area and a prominent ridge by the toes, both of which were uncomfortable compared to the "soft footed" found on other Arizona Birks, including other brown ones, which have blue print. These are going back, and we're ordering the solid leather straps and blue print/narrower softer footbed...

These are the most comfortable sandals in the entire world but they look a bit clownish.

The look of these are great, just like all my other birks. But the feel of the straps against the skin (like felt) does not feel as good to me as slipping into the cool leather straps.

Could not adjust the left shoe to fit properly without it making a popping sound when I walked.

Although I purchased a Narrow, these were still too wide.

first...I originally thought it referred to their footbed..you know birko-flor vs soft footbed... birko-flor are not leather at all. they dont even use leather to top the footbed. they are a thin, kind of cheap vinyl with a felt like backing. ,avoid, unless you are avoiding leather. second, I dont know wha the deal is with birkenstock recently, but the straps seem shorter than ever. these only barely fit on the largest hole. I don't know who they are kidding with the smallest holes, i buckled through just to look at it, and a person would have to have flippers for feet, not human feet to use them. birkenstock, please think about using a longer strap and hole combninatioon for your larger sizes. this was somewhat comical.

That little hump in the front where toes meet foot is very painful. Could not adjust to that. Tried several sizes.

The most uncomfortable sandal I have ever worn.

Ordered Birkenstock’s for the first time. When they arrived, they were about one size too large. Sent them back for a refund.

They fit okay. I decided to return them for regular width so I can wear socks with them. Also the upper straps aren’t completely leather. They are a thing layer of leather on the top and then have felt on the inside. I’m not a fan of this. So I’m going to spend the extra $25 and get a pair that have a solid leather strap.

I love Birkenstocks, however I think the craftsmanship has gone down over the years. I bought these for my husband one year ago, and there is already a hole in the cork. For one hundred dollars, I would except them to last longer than one year! I love Birkenstocks but I don't want to be paying $100 dollars every year for a new pair.

These shoes are expensive and they are not real leather. For faux leather, the price should be half of what it is selling for. Only two stars because while they are Birkenstock insoles and style, the fake leather is a huge disappointment. There is so little leather, why would it be faux.

I can't decide if I want to keep these, send back and either get the real leather ones or the Madrid. These hardly seem worth the money. If the leather ones are nicer, one might as well spring for those instead. I really don't know what everyone is talking about regarding comfort. The sole is as hard as a rock. The faux leather seems like it will really hurt to break in, hurts trying it on and the shoe just doesn't seem very sturdy overall. Given the price they hardly seem worth it. The style is iffy but I'm a trendy girl and I'm trying to jump on the Birki bandwagon once again but I just don't know. I can't seem to find the all leather in my size and I'm thinking the Madrids are cuter. These are probably going back. Was really hoping these would work. I wear a 7.5 and I bought the 37 size N (I have very narrow feet - petite) and the fit is right. The shoe is just hard and uncomfortable. I will say Zappos is awesome. Super fast shipping and I couldn't be more pleased with the ease of transaction. We will see how the return / exchange goes.
