Glad I ordered the narrow and sized down because they were perfect! I have skinny foot and am a size 8 so instead of 39 I got size 38Narrow and it was perfect!!!! I have a 38 reg. width in another color but these 38N are the ones for sure!

People kept saying in reviews to buy one size smaller, so I bought a size smaller and I felt like my toes were sticking out when I tried them on. I exchanged them for the size I usually wear (8 women's) and I felt way more comfortable walking. If you don't want an extra fitted shoe, I would recommend buying your normal size, width NARROW.

This is my 3rd pair. My others lasted about 8 years. Once I break them in I love them. They’re so comfy and worth the money.

Very comfortable sandals! I have a lot of problems with my metasarals and have no problem spending all day in these even right out of the box. I have seen mixed reviews on the sizing. I wear a 6 in almost everything but the 6 in these were almost a full inch too long. I'd recommend going 1 size down. Sizing is similar to Dansko clogs.

I was a little confused as to the sizing. I have worn Birkenstock’s before and always ordered a size 39. I wear a women’s USA size 9. When I received the 39’s they were much too large.I ended up ordering a size 37 and they were the correct size.

You can never go wrong with a good pair of Birkenstocks. I have planter fasciitis and these are a lifesaver in the summertime! Just a heads up to any new Birkenstock customers. It takes a while to break them in. Every spring my feet hurt a little bit while I wear them and break them in. But totally worth it in the end. So stick it out!

These shoes make you feel like you're walking on air. Soo comfy! I have pretty narrow feet but based on other reviews I decided to order the regular (instead of narrow) and glad that I did because they fit great. Zappos has really quick shipping and these arrived in a few days. Looking forward to getting lots of use out of them!

Ordered regular width and it was perfect (as medium)

I originally bought these for their legendary arch support, and wasn't disappointed; I wore them exclusively for a month or two last summer, and much of my foot pain went away. I bought these then in size 36, but think they may be too short, so recently bought the exact same Birks in size 37, which seem too long. A quandary! I'll hang onto them for a while while I decide. A local shoe store which is especially good at fitting told me about narrow Birks, as my feet swam in the regulars. You can always recognize a narrow by the little outlined foot emblem on the insole-if it's filled in, it's a narrow. If just an outline, it's a regular.

Can't go wrong with Birkenstock, I have a narrow heel and wear a size 9, so I always order a 40N and they fit great!

Ordered a 39 for my daughter who wears a 7.5 - 8. Little bit big but seems to be accurate with an 8-8.5. Ordered the narrow and fit perfect for a "normal" width foot.

So comfortable and I love the way they form to your foot. Great for the price!

I bought these shoes as a gift to be given soon. I've worn Birkenstocks for 20 years and love them. I am giving them with complete confidence that my grandchild will get years of comfort from them.

My 11 year old daughter wears a 6.5 youth. According to size chart she needed a 37. (Women’s 6/6.5) narrow. I was skeptical thinking they would be too big. Glad I trusted the chart. They fit perfectly with a little room for growth. She says they’re comfortable right from the get go!

I got these for my boyfriend who normally wears a size 13. I originally got a size 45 (US 12-12.5) which was HUGE on him. I returned them and reordered a 44 (US 11-11.5) which fit him perfectly. Definitely size down at least one size, if not 2!

I take mens 9.5 and 42 size were to big, I am returning for a size 41.

I love Birkenstocks and have been wearing them for years. I have plantar fasciitis and I am flat footed. When I am not wearing my shoes with my custom orthotics I wear these.

Love these! There's definitely a break-in period but once that's over, you'll never want to take them off. I wore mine for about an hour or less a day for a week or so. After that, all good! I normally wear a medium width in all my other shoes and the narrow width in these was perfect.

The Birko-flor backing is more comfortable than the leather. It’s smooth rather than rough. I love it!

My husband and I both wanted a pair of Birk's. I got a black pair and he got a navy pair. We're both very happy with our purchase. They take a little time to break in, but once you're through that stage they literally fit to your foot uniquely. Plus since the straps are made of leather, they stretch slightly over time so its nice that they are totally adjustable!!

The perfect summer shoe. Very comfie for high arches. I am post surgery and these are a life saver for my summer!

Well, I have for more years than I can recall been wearing a variety of Birkenstock sandals and always wore size 37, regular width. They have always been very comfortable right from the start even when the fit occasionally felt a bit loose but not enough to consider that I really needed a narrow width. That is until I bought the birko-flor Arizona. Bought my usual size 37 ( no problem there) but the regular width just would not do even when I notched them to the tightest hole.....hmmmm....a very quick exchange (thank you, Zappos) to narrow width and voila! a perfect fit. Not sure if the difference was because of the birko-flor or if I have been wearing the incorrect width all these years. In any event, this birko-flor Arizona is very comfortable right out of the box. First time for Birko-flor mostly because I really liked the fact that buckle was also black and gave this sandal's monochromatic look a nice sophisticated appeal.

I purchased these in a narrow for my daughter and she loved it. I wore these sandals for a day and by the end of the day, my feet were hurting due to me having wider feet. I would try it in a regular width for myself. I had purchased my first Birks 20 years ago and loved it. Now looking into buying another pair for myself.
