After seeing a podiatrist and being fit for custom orthotics, I knew I should be careful about what sandals I was going to get. I did some research about which were best for high arches and Birkenstocks were the #1 brand. I'd never had them before but when these were on sale, I picked them up. Wonderful! It took less than a day to break them in but even doing that, they were still incredibly comfortable. I'm a 9 2E normally and the 40 in regular width fit perfect.

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals for the last 15 years. I use a pair of slip-ons as house slippers. I needed a new pair urgently. I received the shoes very quickly and in good condition. Very satisfied with the service.

I love Zappos! First, your shoes come fast, second, they take returns fast, and third, they remember that you have a credit (even if you forgot, as in my case). You just cannot go wrong with Zappos! Oh, and I love my Birkenstock and probably third pair I have owned.

Great shoe, great service - I've been a Birk owner for years, and my previous pair had finally bitten the dust. Looking around to replace them, I decided to give Zappos a try. I needed the replacement ASAP, so I was disappointed they didn't have my current style (Florida) in stock in my size. I decided to give the Arizona another whirl (it was the first style I owned). The fit is great...can't beat Birks for comfort. And free overnight shipping was awesome! I'll definitely use Zappos again.

Freedom from socks - It took me a while to train my feet to wear Birkenstocks again. The arch support is pretty severe, but I am now used to it, and the shoes fit like a second skin. I could do with a higher heel.

Great shoe - I bought these for my husband as his other pair was worn into the ground. They look great and he loves the comfort.

Awesome sandal - Super comfortable shoe. It’s my first pair and I’m a complete convert. I ordered a half size larger and they fit perfectly. I wish they made a flip-flop style sandal. I’d be set!

Birko-Flor's are a dream! This pair of shoes has been my best experience so far. I have a bad back and these have helped my pain as well as given my airy support. The straps are very comfortable and I'm glad to support non-leather uppers. Great-fantastic shoe! Would recommend to anyone.

Great shoe - Always loved this sandal, it has always been very comfortable.

I'm usually a size 7.5 or 8, and had to re-order in a size 6. I wore birks a lot as a teenager and thought they were super comfy. This is my first time wearing them in 20 years, and the break in on these shoe has been super tough. I've been wearing them for an hour or so every other day, for a week now, and they still just really hurt. Other reviews have said two weeks, so I'm hoping that's the magic number for me, too.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I have a wider foot so I'm happy they came in the regular/wider width. I usually wear a 6.5 US woman and originally ordered a 36 regular but it was big and the arches did not hit the right spot. I exchanged for a 35 regular which felt better but slightly small with my toes sometimes touching the edges when I walk. The width also decreased slightly when going down a size. I'm really in-between these two sizes but decided to keep the 35 (two sizes smaller than my usual 6.5 or 37).

My husband loves these sandals...it took him time to adjust to sandals but now that he has his "Birkenstocks" he is happy!

Love my Birkenstocks - I ordered the Birkenstocks that were supposedly my size, but even though they were the "right" size they were too big. I called Zappos and was immediately sent the smaller size and info on sending back my too-big pair. It was amazingly simple! I love my Birkenstocks, but it does take a few days to get used to them. Plus, I've always had the leather before and decided to try the Birko-Flor this time. (I'm a vegetarian so try to avoid leather when possible.) My leather Birks lasted between 10 and 15 years, I had two pair I alternated. I'm happy with the Birko-Flor, they're comfortable, but I will admit to preferring the look and feel of the leather. This might be because I've worn leather versions for 20 years and am just used to the leather. And it does take awhile for the wearer to get their Birks "just right." The "fake" leather does clean up nicely, and after a couple of days the shoe feels great! Still, if you're an 8/39, you should probably order a 7/38. My old Birks were 38's but I'd worn off the size thru the year so wasn't sure. Again, great service from Zappos. I couldn't believe how easy it was to return/reorder! Thanks!

First pair - These are the first pair of sandals that were comfortable enough to wear daily. no rubbing or chafing. Highly recommended.
