These were hard to get on. I bruised my Achilles’ tendon when I put one of them on. Hurt to walk for days after. I much preferred the Keen Rose Sandals though they too were rather snug around the ankle but had more stretch (and overall much more comfortable than this Venice H2). I kept the Rose style and returned these Venice H2’s.

The Venice H2 is not as comfortable as the leather Venice. I ordered these because I wanted a black pair. The color is nice, but it took several days before I could get the left shoe to feel as comfortable as the right. I will keep them, but would never order them again. I will only order the leather Venice in the future.

Disappointed at how small it runs, at least in the 11...

I am not sure what redesign Keen has done between my last pair of Venice H2s and this one, but they are not the same fitting shoe. Otherwise, I still love the roominess of the toe box and the color selection is always a plus.

Great design, but not comfortable enough because my big toe hits the top of the shoe when I walk. Had to return.

They do not feel comfortable to wear, had I not worn them thinking they were like previous Keens I would have returned them. I wore them once.

Although these sandals are very popular, I find that the bottoms of my feet get very hot in them. Unfortunately, I had to send them back.

I have arthritis in my feet and hands, and found these very difficult to get on. I returned the first pair for a larger size, but they still require more manipulation than I can do. There is a clasp that must be tightened once the shoes are on, and I also find that too difficult to manage.
I've had two other pairs of Keens that were great, so it's just this style.

These shoes are well made and beautiful! But for shoes that look like they would accommodate Flintstone feet, they seem narrow, with straps curtting into my feet. Keens used to be my go-to shoes, but in recent years the sizes have become inconsistent. These are going back. ??

So I've had the Venice H2O for a little over a year now. Purpose: I work outside as a landscape designer with my husband and occasionally do physical work so have my feet in soil, mulch, stone/gravel areas. My toes get FILTHY if not wearing socks. I get stones and mulch and dirt in them frequently. I have no issues getting them wet but the foot bed being rubber does become slippery when wet. Can't imagine hiking and hitting puddles or a stream in bare feet and keeping a footing. I don't have petite feet. I'm size 11m and over the years wearing very casual shoes my feet have relaxed (dress shoes are mostly too narrow now) but I do find these sandals and the Keen hiking boots I have wide to the point I wish they carried narrows which I would think would be then "normal" width. Anyway, tightened all the way they are adequate but would love to find a better option. I had tried the Whisper at the same time and can't remember why I returned them. Arch support: can't wear these all day walking, my feet hurt. I've been wearing my old New Balance shoes which had been relegated to mowing my lawn as they just don't hold up but I have no issues with the arch or foot bed (unlike my Keens and Merrells). With Zappos' shipping policy it's worth a shot to try if you can't walk into a store but don't expect too much until you have tried them on. They have been very durable, I've washed them in my washer but my issues are more with fit than the quality of the product. My boots have held up great too...they are a bit more tolerable with my custom insoles which I obviously can't use with the sandals but.... I'm keeping my "true to width" review as I find most Keens are wide so these are "typically wide".

They are nice shoes but I wear a size 5. These are too big. They are too wide and a little too long.

I have worn Keen sandals for several years; however, this pair fit poorly. Specifically, the sole was more narrow and the strapping fit tighter on the right foot than the left foot, which is never the case for my feet (the left foot is always the more challenging fit). I even ordered a second pair hoping that it was simply a sizing anomaly. Unfortunately the second pair fit exactly the same as the first. Is this a manufacturing problem/defect? I am uncertain, but both pairs are being returned.

Not a big fan of Keen for the complete lack of visual appeal. These shoes probably do the job if one musters up the motivation to put on what are essentially the equivalent of truck tires for human feet. They are definitely going back. Outdoor gear can be rugged but not quite so.

I so wanted these shoes. I was trying to replace my mary jane style crocks I wear walking on the beach. These would have been perfect I think. My left foot felt pretty good, but my right foot hit a support on the side that never felt better. It seemed to want to push my foot to the inside. I tried another model and it did the same thing. I guess my feet just weren't meant to be in these shoes. They were cute in a crazy way.

My favorite shoe! They last forever and feel like I am barefoot. After wearing a pair for 6 months, I developed a squeak in one which was disconcerting when walking down hospital halls. When I called, I received a brand new pair the next day! Great service, great product.

Very comfy when you can get a good pair, but to do that you'll need to try on several pairs. It is rare to find a matching set trying on just one pair. Manufacturing is very inconsistent. But once you find a matching pair, that also fit, they'll last for years.

The left sandal of the Venice H2 does not fit correctly with the arch not matching my foot. I have the Whisper and love it, but wanted this blue to go with blue jeans and it is not available in the Whisper. I love the Whisper!

These definitely run small, order a size up if you can. I ended up returning these, they just weren't comfortable for my wide feet. The Keen Venice original was noticeably wider and is great.

There are so few sandals like this in a narrow width, so I'm always looking for one that I can cinch up tight enough to keep them from slipping. The problem with this shoe was that the very rigid toe cap tended to pull upwards and pinch my toes when I pulled the cord tight. Not comfortable. If I had an average width foot, I think I would have really liked these.

Ordered Venice in 7 and 7 1/2. I normally wear a 7. Both sizes seemed too short. My toes touched the end in both. They would have been comfortable except for that. Ordered Keen Whisper also and they fit wonderfully in a 7 1/2.

My poor feet have been getting flatter and more pronated with age despite wearing custom orthotics at least half-time to help with on/off plantar issues. I wear 7.5M these days (up from 7M) and need narrow heels and wider toe box. Merrells used to work but like Keens varies style to style. I am on the "hunt" and can't say enough about Zappos service. This company truly rocks! I now don't shop for shoes anywhere else! At this point in my hardworking "foot" life, it seems that Keens now have the most supportive footbed for me. Unfortunately I am having a difficult time finding a style that works despite a plethora of them in the Keen collection. I chose the Venice because it looked less encased (the Newport was too sweaty feeling) than the other sport sandals in the lineup but it has a wider toe box and more volume than the Newport. While there are fewer straps, the left side cut into my pronating instep despite its lined, cushy straps because the toe box is too wide. I did need to wear the 8 as the Venice seems to be the older, boxier style of Keen shoes. Back to the hunt and hoping to find that "right" Keen model for my fussy, aging, hard charging feet! Next is the Whisper model with and without the heel strap...thank you, Zappos!

I have a pair of these from a couple years ago. In my opinion, the quality and fit have gone downhill. Like most companies, they are trying to squeeze profitability out of their product and it feels like they have sacrificed a little on quality. I returned these and got a different Keen sandal that I felt was made a little better. Overall pretty sandal but didn't live up to the Keen brand for me.

I normally wear a size 9-1/2. I have plantar fasciitis, and I was looking for sport sandals with great arch support. I bought the Keen Venice H2 in a 10 and the Orthaheel Muir Vionic in a 9. The footbeds were pretty much the right size in both. The Orthaheel has amazing arch support, the Keen not so much. Unfortunately, I have a "low profile" foot, and I am not able to tighten the front strap on the Orthaheel sandal enough to make it fit (it has a very short span of velcro for this purpose, and the strap would be hanging on the ground if I were able to fasten it tight enough.) The Keen straps are loose as well, and my feet flop around in them unless I pull the elastic fastener really tight, but they would be workable if I didn't need better arch support. I am returning both, and hoping that Orthaheel comes out with a more "Chaco-like" strap system (fastened by a buckle rather than velcro, and made of webbing, so any excess can just be trimmed off with a hot knife!).
