A comfortable, rugged sandal, not stylish but serviceable -
Venice H2 provided enough tred, cushioning, support and protection to wear comfortably all over, from cobblestone streets and crowded markets to strolling and standing in museums to trails up to archeological sites. I bought them half size larger and wore them with a light sock and mosquito repellent to take the trails to ruins. Easy on and off and elastic tie allows some cinching although fit was loose. Order two pairs-one in your size and one a half size larger to check for fit. Toe box never cramped or squeezed my big or little toes, and although my soles tingled after 12 hour days, my feet never hurt. Shoes are a bit bulky and not as light weight as an open-toed, straps only water shoe, but I wanted the extra toe protection, arch support and cushioning. Shoes breathed well and are well priced. I bought basic black to minimize attention to my large, wide feet and wore them day and night in rain and sun. They aren't stylish, but they got the job done comfortably.

Color washes out -
I have this shoe in this color, or at least it was. I wore them canoeing in Mono Lake, a salt water, very alkaline lake, and all the color washed out. They are now tan in color except for the thread.
But they are extremely comfortable. They do get a bit smelly, but after washing are fine.

Sandal with protected toe -
Just what I needed. Keeps feet protected but airy. Goes on and off fast. No shoe with these requirements can look great, but these are strange enough to be great! Looks just like the picture.

I purchased these shoes to take on a trip to Hawaii. They were great for all the various terrains there, although I was surprised my feet still got pretty hot in them.

Comfortable; soft and flexible sole; good toe protection -
These are very comfortable (like moccasins) with the soft flexible sole, but perhaps less suitable to hiking rocky or uneven paths as the soft sole conforms the terrain vs. providing a solid support (like Vibram sole would).
Great toe protection as well, however, if in and out of water, they take longer to dry than a Teva sandal or choco because of the more closed in toe.
I'd also recommend:
Teva's (or other models of Keen) give stiffer footbed support

Pretty good shoe for outdoor abuse -
It's comfortable and pretty attractive for this type of shoe. I wear it for yard work and biking, as well as in the water. Very high quality construction. It's nice that it is totally waterproof. A lot of dirt & "junk" does get stuck in the toe box, though. I find myself having to stop & dump them out on the beach and sometimes while biking if I get off on a dusty trail. They are sized for your normal shoe size without socks. I ordered a half-size smaller for wearing without socks, as I typically do for sandals, and it was too small -- I had to go back up to my normal size.

I'm Keen on Keen -
I've got Keen flip flops with the toe guard and love them. The Venice H2 provides more protection for longer dog walks and it's washable, which is fab. One of the sandals was a bit snug and it's loosening up, but I'm used to putting on shoes and having them fit perfectly so that's my only gripe.

Keen H2 -
I work outside all day everyday and these shoes prove themselves time and again. They are great to wear in and out of the water, on hikes or other excursions. The only drawback is sweaty feet. The insole is slick instead of porous and your feet can get really sweaty.

These are 3/4" shorter than the same shoe I have. (I have 3 pairs of Venice H2 - these are much smaller even though the label says it is the size I ordered -- the same size on the older Venice H2 sandals I have.) Are they mis-labeled?

Very comfortable and I liked the way they looked, but I could not deal with the plastic footbed. It felt like recycled milk jugs and made my feet feel sweaty despite their open design.

The problem is I fractured a bone in my left foot some time ago and now it's difficult to find shoes that fit/support my feet properly. I've had several pairs of KEEN Venice and Venice H2 sandals and loved them! It seems I must forgo sandals for the foreseeable future.

They're ok and I'm keeping them, but I don't love them. The pink color makes them a little cuter, but I sure wouldn't call them stylish. And as other reviewers are saying, they're a little short in the toe. Zappos recommended getting my normal size, and anyway the half size up was sold out. I hiked a bit in them the other day and they were pretty comfortable, with decent arch support. I did keep getting dirt and pebbles in them and my feet were not particularly cool either. So I'll mostly use them for water shoes, which is what I bought them for.

I didn't even try these shoes on because the color was such a disappointment. The color was "rose pink" not "brick" and I do not like pink shades so back they went.

I bought these to have an alternative color. I've been wearing my berry-red ones almost daily for over a year now for walking and gardening, and I just love them, but they are getting worn. But these new ones, although the same size, were too small. Thinking maybe I'd stretched out the uppers, I measured the sole grooves side by side, and the new ones are definitely a bit shorter and narrower. Not much, but enough to make the shoes feel uncomfortable. They've been returned.

Returned. Size 7 Medium...(my true comfort size in 95% of shoes)....too wide and I'm certain a 6.5 would be too short. Foot bed felt angled/tilted? and not comfortable. I like the navy/coral colors and the style butI knew pretty quickly these aren't the style for me.

Need water shoes for my trip to the Galapagos. I really like the beet red color and my plantar fasciitis felt well supported with the footbed. I just wish Keen made wide width (though I think the Venice is the widest they have). While I'm able to walk around my apartment to try these out, the medium width will actually damage and hurt my feet if I spent a day in them. I got a different color a half size up, so it's slightly wider.

Too wide for my narrow foot in general, and the ankle strap hits my heel at an uncomfortable point — it’s too low and will rub.

Good shoe for boating or kayaking but your feet get a little dirty! I love the color.

These are not the VeniceH2 shoes I have worn for years and loved! The fit was the same but the foot bed was hard and didn’t have the arch great support I have come to expect. Disappointing! Had to return

If you have wide feet and or bunions, not the sandal for you, comfort-wise.

I have two ancient pairs of Newports, and the Venice does not have the arch support of the Newport. It's still a cute shoe and I'll keep it because of the color and because it has the leather straps that, for some reason, have been discontinued on the Newport.

Unfortunately the sandal didn't fit. I ordered a size larger than normal but but they still jammed my toes. Probably will have to go back to the slide style.

Keen Venice H2 has been my go to hiking/walking shoes for years. They were always comfortable right out of the box. Not so much and more. I find the foot bed now to be too stiff and need of breaking in. For that reason I am in search of a new "go to" "right out of the box" favorite.

I had no problem with the shoe, just myself. I have a severe back problem which made me unable to slip the strap across the heel of my foot. I refuse yet to ask for help every time I put on a pair of shoes.
