Smaller than other (canvas) Converse? I've been wearing the regular canvas black monochrome Converse for many years in a Mens size 7, but when I ordered the same size in the leather version, it felt about half a size too big! Put the new shoes next to my old ones, and sure enough, they were definitely longer. Other reviewers said that they fit the same as regular Chucks, but that wasn't the case for me. Otherwise, they look great. As always, Zappos customer service was awesome!

Beautiful, but still Chucks. Beautiful in the white. Compliments every time I wear them out, and I've only had them for two weeks. Normally wear a size 10 in other brands, but the 9 fit my foot the best (it's still a little bit too long for my foot). No arch support, and not the best for walking, but let's be honest - you're buying these for the look, and they look wonderful while still being reasonably comfortable.

Converse White leather ox - I mainly got this shoe because of the style. It's very popular. The leather stretches more than the canvas. Which means they do get a little more comfortable as you wear them. The width is on the narrow side as all converse shoes. The sizing is always strange. I normally wear a women's 81/2 and these are 71/2. If my foot was narrow I would have bought the 7. These shoes are o.k. for casual wear but not for serious walking.

Fits similarly to other converse shoes but with one strange difference— the tongue is abnormally long. The tongue was so long it cut into my ankle when I wore the shoes with ankle socks. Fresh color and style but not wearable. Had to return, hopefully the Jack Purcell’s come back in stock soon in my size.

I love the style of these shoes, the black on black is very cool looking, but the heel is so hard! The back of the shoe is very stiff, and the seams rub against my heel, giving me serious blisters. I bought these to walk around New York in, but I ended up not even bringing them with me. They need a lot of breaking in.

I have had several pairs of these shoes. I recently ordered another replacement pair, but was very disappointed. With Nike buying Converse, they seemed to have skimped on the leather. They now look like fake leather/plastic and not like the shoes I used to own. Returning.

I've had these shoes for about 6 weeks and the sole is falling off! I had a pair of Puma's I've worn over 2 years and they are still in decent shape. Don't buy these unless you are prepared to throw them out 6 weeks in.

My last pair of Chucks Leather Ox lasted 4 years, but I wore them so much I ran them into the ground (low tread, stretched out vamp, dirty crevices). I just ordered a new pair and noticed this one has a much higher profile in back, and the tongue placement is also higher than the first pair (see pics). I definitely prefer the new style, as the narrower opening means they slip off my feet less. I usually wear a size 9 Womens, but since these fit a half size big I got an 8.5 and they ft perfectly.

Runs a little large. I'm typically a women's size 9 and the 8.5 fit perfectly.

I have non leather converse and always wear 7.5. These are way off. They were at least one size to big maybe even two sizes to big. I like them though and I will return them for a smaller size . It’s just such a hassle. I wanted to wear ASAP.

Bought these in the mono white. Love them! Such a classic white sneaker that you can wear with anything. I buy them every year. If you're not familiar with Chuck Taylor sizing, buy one size down from your usual. I'm usually a Women's 8 (Euro 39), but in these I always buy Women's 7/Mens 5. I don't wear them with socks though, so if you do, you probably just want to buy a half size down, not a whole.

Size, width and support are consistent with the Chucks I've been wearing for decades. This is my first pair of leather and it is consistent with my canvas past and present. I have always required orthotics for these totally flat sneaks to be comfortable and no problem. I love that the leather looks identical to the classic canvas with a little more durability and cleanability.

This is my 5th or possibly 6th pair of Converse and I absolutely love these! Super cute and much more comfortable than my 90's Converse!

They are Chuck's! Not much to say. I will give compliments to Zappos for the great service as usual.

Love them! The leather makes it easy to clean I even wore them on a very rainy day and they look brand new!

These are so awesome looking (in an incredibly geeky way), and I love that they're leather. I got them for weightlifting, and I think they'll be solid and grippy. They're about a 1/4 size too big (I'm a woman and sized down as indicated). Tried going down 1/2 a size but then they dug into my heel. I have wide feet and high arches, so if you have regular sized feet, 1/2 sized down might do you the best.

I wear a women’s size 11 and sized down a full size to a women’s 10– glad I did because they fit perfectly!

If you've ever tried on converse, you know they run large (at least for females). I am normally consistently a size 7 in sneakers & flats, but had to size down to M4/W6. Love that the leather still makes the shoe look like a classic converse (but makes it more clean-able) & the monochrome white allows it to go with even more than the classic converse shoe would. Haven't worn yet with it being winter, so cannot comment on the long-term wear of the item yet. So far, happy with my purchase.

I've been wearing Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars canvas sneakers for years; when they wear out, I just get another pair from Zappos. Always found them to be a great all around sneaker to wear with jeans or other casual wear. They last longer than than expected, and fit reasonably well, albeit little to no arch support (Like all Chuck Tailor's are), but my inserts take care of that. Then, I happened to see the Leather Ox model - almost identical in looks, but the canvas is replaced with leather. I say ALMOST Identical - from eye to ground they look the same, but on closer inspection, you can see the dullish-sheen from the leather uppers. I decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. When I tried them on I was pleasantly surprised how much more comfortable they were from their canvas counterparts. I ordered the same size I always do, but they seem slightly roomier, without being larger. The leather is thin and supple and again much more comfortable. As this is my first leather pair, I can't attest to how well they will wear, but I'll report back. These look well made and I have high hopes for them being my new go-to sneaker.

Chucks are the original minimalist shoe and still the best! Comfortable! Be sure to understand that the sizing isn't the same as other shoes because there isn't a bunch of extra padding and material (ie: I wear 9-9.5 in other shoes and 8 (men) in Chucks).

First, kudos to Zappos for such fast service! Second, as you can see in the photo. I have both the cloth version and the leather version both in a size 9. The leather version is about 1/2 size larger. It feels fine as long as I wear thick socks. Not dramatic enough to exchange. The cloth version lasted me 5 years before I saw any tears so that’s a good value! I hope the leather ones last long as well!

I love Converse and they always fit perfectly. Because this is leather, you need to break them in a little bit. The first time they were a little painful to wear but after the third day, they fit like a glove.
