Lasts forever and you want them to! I have had a pair of these Birkenstocks for five years. They've been worn a lot from shopping to working in the yard, in sand and water at the beach. They are still great so I had to have another pair in the black. Great for problem feet.

This is my 5th pair of the same shoe - extremely comfortable. Wish they came in different colors, but black goes with everything.

Always A Great Fit - I've been wearing Birkenstock shoes for decades and have always been pleased with the consistent sizing Birkenstock has offered over the years. This is my 4th pair of the Florida style and the fit and comfort is still the same - great!

Soft bed - After changing to soft bed, I can't use any other Birkenstocks but these. I wear Birkenstocks every day when I’m not in the corporate setting. Even on long walks up to 10 miles.

I love my Birks - I live in my Birkenstocks. This pair is as comfortable as the first pair I bought which was the Arizona soft bed. I can go all day in them, even do my house work in them. I now have three pairs, one is the clog; really has helped my planter fasciitis which has been terrible. You got to try them if you have foot trouble. I also have had other foot problems. It’s great shopping with Zappos; will not buy shoes any place, but at Zappos now.

Very comfortable. I can only wear the Soft Footbed Birks as I find the regular ones too hard on my feet. This style is wonderful as they require no breaking in and look ok with pants and skirts. They are comfortable all day and I can walk miles in them. I have to go down a size for the best fit - I am a 7, so buy a 36.

Birkenstocks for low volume feet - I have a solid B width low volume foot, and I can highly recommend the narrow-width Florida-style Birkenstock. Crocs are far too big, and although I've tried to wear Birkenstocks before, the two strap style in the standard width was always just a bit too loose. The third strap on the Florida style allows me to cinch the shoe down further up the foot, making sure the shoe stays on despite my low volume, and the narrow width means I'm not cinching the straps down all the way. And the soft footbed is GREAT! Plenty of the support I expect from a Birkenstock, but forgiving enough to be comfortable right out of the box. I'm very happy with these shoes!

Love Them! This is by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I will never go back to Mephisto.

Good shoe- needs breaking in - I love Birkenstocks but this is the first pair of the Florida ones I have ever owned. I usually wear the Arizona. The upper strap has given me bad blisters but I think I just need to break them in. Other than that they are great.

The Best in Casual Walking - I have worn and loved Birkenstocks for almost 30 years (yes, I'm one of those millions of retiring baby-boomers)! I didn't even need to replace my "old" Birks -- 'just wanted another pair. As usual these are lovely and there was no "break-in." They felt custom-made for my foot from the first moment I put them on. Zappos is the best, too.

Who needs slippers??? As the owner of a 10+ yrs. old pair of black Florida Birk's, I knew it was time to get another pair. I chose the soft footbed this time and LOVE the comfort they immediately provided. The first day I wore my new Birks I played a spontaneous hour of indoor volleyball with my faculty colleagues. Is that a testimony to an easy break-in period or what? Who needs slippers with comfort like Birkenstocks?

Glad I tried them! I have been looking for a comfortable pair of sandals that look good AND I can walk a few hours in for a long time! These are GREAT! I have a heel spur and was planning a week long trip to New York City so I ordered soo many pairs to try on (bless you, Zappos!!) and after dozens of shoes tried on and sent back, these were the ones, along with a brown pair of soft bed Birks (different style). I did not have any sore feet, blisters or heel spur pain. We walked many miles in the city and I would highly recommend these sandals to everyone! The only negative was a little rub off of color from the black ones. No problem with the brown ones. Worth every penny!!! Zappos is the best place to shoe shop (also have great hand bag selections) - especially if you live in a small town like I do!

This is my 5th pair of Birkenstocks and my first with a soft foot bed. I'm hooked. They're like wearing sneakers!!!! The soft foot bed does seem to run about 1/2 size smaller than traditional Birks.

Awesome Birkenstocks - They are worth every penny. My last pair lasted 10 years. I had the sole replaced once. I wear them ALL the time. I have plantar fasciitis which is basically foot/heel pain. These alleviate it that pain tremendously. I think I will be buying my first pair of Birkenstock shoes this coming winter! I am a 9 1/2 and took a 40 which was perfect.

Beautiful shoes but didn't fit me; darn it as they were nice - Unfortunately the shoes didn't fit and were of a silky texture instead of the usual Nubuck suede. I couldn't wear socks with them and our weather gets cold here. Other than that, they were lovely and the soft footbed is a real plus. Had they fit I would have kept them as Birkenstock is the only shoe I can wear. The people at Zappos are great BTW.

Comfortable - I love the soft footbed. These are the shoes I wear if I will be on my feet most of the day. For dressier shoes, I wear the Papillio Tabora, but these are my "sneakers". For newcomers, Birkenstocks and Papillios (same company) run large. I wear a 39 in Naot and Dansco, but a 38 in Birkenstock. My foot is a little wide, so I wear the "Regular" width.

Birkenstock Soft Florida Sandal - This Birkenstock style in the narrow size is wonderful if you have a narrow foot and want a daintier look. This is the first Birkenstock I've owned and I had no break-in period. I tried an Arizona, which was too large and bulky for my long, narrow foot, and Zappos made it easy to switch to this style. What fabulous service! I'll be ordering more of these.

Having developed a plantar fasciitis on my right foot I was told to only wear certain shoes. The brand that my physical therapist recommended was Birkenstocks. I cringed as I thought of how they would look with my cute outfits. I needn't have bothered, they look fine and much more to the point they are EXTREMELY comfortable. The "soft bed" support is really nice under foot

Soft footbed rules - I have tried many different brand sandals in the past year. None of them were wearable for any period of time due to my plantar fasciitis. I can't believe how comfortable these sandals are. I find the soft footbed to be much easier to adjust to than the original ones. Zappos has been great to deal with, especially now that they offer overnight shipping at no additional cost.

Great purchase!!!! I had a Birkenstock shoe 8 years ago and don’t remember a tough breaking in period. Now 8 years later with foot complaints and extra weight and a job that requires me on my feet all day the break in period was different. I ordered the soft bed for comfort, I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur, wear orthotics in a Reebok walking shoe in size 10 wide. I ordered a size 40 (9-9 1/2). With my sneakers (Reebok 10 wide with orthotics) and I am in health care so that should say enough!!) I have fat feet and an arch problem and the first night they got here was I sore. Knowing the Birk rep I knew that I just had to give them time. Today is much more comfortable (The Next Day) Now for ZAPPO'S. They are the best!!! I ordered these on a Sunday EST at 9:30pm and they arrived Tuesday on the same week!!! They sent me a notice that the shoes shipped and the shoes arrived the same day!!! Half way across the country!!!! I will always buy my Birks from you. Excellent customer service.

Soft Footbed Rules - This is not quite as comfortable as the Arizona (at least not yet) but it is comfortable. It seems a little wide but it does not really matter.

Wearer's wife - My husband had another pair just like this that our son bought for him around eight years ago and he wore them completely out, he loved them so much! Not only was the leather worn out, but if the soles had been tires, they would have been considered dangerous...the "tread" was completely down to nothing in spots. He is just as pleased with this pair as he was with the old ones (and I finally got to throw them out, they were so pitiful-looking).

Loved these Birks! This is the first time I have tried the Birkenstock soft footbed and it won't be my last pair! I have very wide feet and am on my feet all day so am constantly on the search for comfy shoes. These fit the bill. I have a very high arch and the third strap (closest to the ankle) needed a little breaking in before it became comfortable, even with the strap on the last hole. That was the only problem I experienced and now that they are broken in I'm very happy with them.
