I just cannot get on the bandwagon for these. I have a wide foot and tried the 38 and 39 and still too narrow (and bought the regular size, not the narrow). Like putting cement on my feet. Sorry I tried.

This is not a first time that I have had this same issue with Zappos, so I am thankful for the great return policy, but PLEASE stop sending out items that are very obviously damaged returns. These shoes were thrown in the box in a way that it was clear they were returned (I have a ton of Birks, and know how they are packed), but then when I took them out of the box, the whole front quarter on the outer side of the shoe was scraped and gouged like it had been dragged along a rough concrete sidewalk. Additionally, this shoe is much darker than it appears online, just for reference.

I got caught up in the Birkenstock craze and decided to splurge for my first pair. I have a small foot and while I'm normally comfortable in US 6M for loafers, boots, and sneakers, I always take a 5.5M in sandals and heels. I ordered a 36N (which I worried was closer to a 6) but everything I read compared the 36 to a US 5.5 and that it was supposedly true to size. I was right to be worried. A 36 is a US size 6, and they are enormous and going back. Oh, and if this is a soft footbed, then the regular footbed must feel like concrete. It's fine and smooth, but I would not call it soft. I would like to order them in a 4.5N but they are sadly out of stock.

These are my first Birkenstocks and a Size 36R seem to be the right size for me; but the straps—the buckle end—dug into the top of my foot. So I’m going to return these and get the ones with suede straps. These sandals do have a different feel. I love the look of the style. I usually wear a Size 7 in sandals—a 37 or 38 in Dansko sandals, a 6-1/2 W or 7M; a Size 7-1/2M or 8M in sneakers.

I expected the Amalfi leather to be softer. It is very stiff. Just hope I can get used to these...

This birkenstock is just Wide , even with narrow choice. Does not work for me.

No size 10 is offered, just 10-101/2. I'm size 10, and the shoe was too big, so I had to return it.

These Arizona are much more snug than ones I have purchased previously. This is my first purchase order of the Arizona with the “soft footbed,” but I likely will opt for non-soft footbed when these wear out because I do not notice a difference in the cushioning.

I went with the soft footbed hoping for a quicker break in period and it was. Unfortunately, this comes at the price of comfort. It appears the addition of the foam sub foot bed prevents the cork from conforming to the foot so the sandals don’t stay on your feet like the original design. Unfortunately, this problem didn’t appear until after the trial period so I have Birkies that fall off unless I’m standing in them. Lesson learned…stay with the original design.

Was too stiff, and at 70 years old did not want to go through breaking them in.

Need to return due to size but the box came destroyed and needed to tape it together very disappointed!!!

Love the fit. Needed to replace 25y old Birks. These feel great, seem to be as well made as ever. Leather on the shoe (charcoal color) fresh out of the box was very weird, with random scratches visible all over the straps. I was bummed… so I pulled out a magic eraser and buffed at it. It’s all quite dull looking (because I essentially sandpapered it) now but it’s uniform in color. Not a big deal to me but for the price, it was a surprise.

I had to size up to accommodate width of toe area. The shoes are stiff and uncomfortable. I have tried breaking them in a couple hours at a time, but after three or four weeks, the shoes are still uncomfortable. The shoe seems well made but is not right for me.

I have ordered the Tabacco Brown twice now. The first time I thought I received the color. It looked nothing like the image online. So I returned and ordered again. I again received the same color and the first order. Either the image is wrong online or the color on the box is wrong. I am not sure but I am very disappointed. I am returning again. The first image is what I received. The second image is the color I thought I was ordering.

Ordered a size 40 and received a size 41 - have to return but really love them. Hope the 40 works!

I just feel like the heel portion is not comfortable at all. It pushes in on the sides of my heels and I cannot stand in them for long before it's super uncomfortable. I don't recall this ever happening before. They are hurting my heels. I don't have wide feet either.

I liked these and they fit, but the color was way lighter than it showed online. I wanted darker sandals!

Great shoe, but exchanged them for a different leather finish. These look more like shiny plastic in person and it doesn't come across well in the photos.

These shoes look great. But beware! The dye can stain skin and other things. Not a crazy big issue, but something to consider.

Habana color was great. However this pair arrived with no box! Only in a plastic bag. Don't know about the rest of you, but I keep my shoe boxes and for this price there better be one. And this pair/color ran super small compared to others of the same style and size. Not happy about all the inconsistencies. Thankfully Zappos has a great return policy.

The black pair ran super huge. No go.
