Unlike the old days, these take some getting used to. The straps are hard at the beginning and need to be broken in. Otherwise, they are classic Birkenstocks, absolutely wonderful.

Love the shoes but they are NOT black. They are more of a charcoal color.

I typically wear 8.5 or 9. I read reviews and most reviewers said that sandals run big so I got 8/8.5 narrow. It was too small so exchanged for a larger size. There are instructions on how to measure your feet on Birkenstock site which I found after I ordered. You use a piece of paper and a pencil find correct width and length. I am right on the edge between sizes. I hope the next size of 9/9.5 are not too big.

I have horrible flat feet. I had Birkenstock’s 20 years ago and loved them. But today my feet have changed and just putting them on almost killed me. The shoes are very high in the arch on the inside of the foot and dug into my foot so much it was impossible to walk. These are good for you people with normal feet, but I unfortunately, not me.

My wife has raved about these sandals for years, and so I finally ordered a pair. The fit was good, and the arch support great. I see why people love these; however the straps on this particular pair were stiff can cut into my feet at the base of the toes. I will return these and look for a pair with softer straps.

I have narrow feet. So I thought, "Hey! Maybe I should order narrow shoes...". I was wrong. I suppose that when they say narrow, they really mean it. So because of a great return policy, I got a pair of Birks that fit really well and look nice. Though the shoes are a little on the $$! side, they will last a long long time.

I purchased my normal size, 39 (8½), but in the narrow width. I was afraid that since they were unisex that the reg/wide would be too sloppy. They turned out to be too narrow and the outer ridge support was hitting my foot wrong and was making me pronate. (ankles leaning in towards each other). Sent them back tho with no hassles. Love Zappos for that!

Did not like the color. It is darker than it looks online.

The sides of the foot hang off on the narrow unless you have a very narrow foot. Your foot should sit on the entire bed. If not get the regular BUT on the regular you will have to put extra hole for strap

The tobacco color was much lighter than I expected and these will unfortunately be going back because of that. The pictures on the Birkenstock website showed a much truer version of the color. I also didn't notice any difference with the soft footbed vs. a regular footbed so I don't think it's worth the extra money. Otherwise, I love the Arizona style and Birks in general.

Like the style but I prefer the original Birkenstock footbed. This newer soft footbed is taking forever to mold to my feet. I wanted the leather and not the synthetic leather because I want these to last for years BUT the leather straps are extremely hard so I rub the straps every day to try to soften it up. This is the break in period and hopefully these will feel like a dream.

Love this classic style, however I wish I had ordered the narrow width. Otherwise these are perfect!

Very comfortable. Returning and ordered another, as the pair I received as not in a Birkenstock box, no tags, and the leather had scratches on it, mostly the right foot. So hope to get a nice new pair because I really like the subtle color and soft footbed.

Theyhurt. I needed the three strap. So I returned them.

This product is great in comfortable level, but the size is way too big to fit into. My usually wear size 12, I ordered size 11 and they were too big for his feet. So, I had to exchange them twice to get the right fit.

I will not pretend to fully understand the Birkenstock love but I do know that I want to be a part of it, which lead to me purchasing two pairs .. one for my husband and one for me. He made the mistake?? of trying to walk in them immediately which led to some pretty serious ouchies . They do seem to fit so after reading some blogs we are trying the wear them around the house with socks to break them in approach. I am normally a size 9 so I ordered the size 40 regular and they felt way too loose so I opted for the 40 narrow . The narrow fit me strap wise but definitely also got smaller length wise so I will now be trying a 41 narrow.

I ordered the arizona style in the Iron color. The look is gorgeous, it is a great color for this style of shoe! The only aspect that I wish birkenstock could have considered is offering the narrow width for this shoe in this color. For some reason, the iron color is not offered in narrow. It is only offered in regular width. This forced me to size down, but it is comfortable so far! Zappos customer service helped me figure out the dilemma, and it's always delightful to receive help from them. Thank you Zappos, and birkenstock!

Really like my sandals. The leather is a bit tough, but once I break it in it should be just fine. Zappos didn’t drive down the driveway to put it at the front door, they literally dumped it in the field in front of my house. Thankfully it wasn’t stolen!!

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years and I'm fine with these. I am a bit disappointed that this pair has scratches on the leather.

I ordered 1/2 size larger than my regular 8.5 as per the reviews... was too small. ordered a full size larger... same issue. Suggested fit is to allow a finger between the edge and foot and I guess I'm going to order the size 41/us ladies 10-10.5... haha one weird note.. when I ordered the size 39 the shoes came in a non-branded box and had some scratches. The second pair arrived in proper Berkenstock box and packaged really well as no one has ever opened the box before..

These are very stylish sandals you can wear during the warmer seasons of the year. The Soft foodbed is really comfortable. It does take some breaking into when you first wear it a few times. I purchased the size 42 N. I got a narrow and even went a half size down from my normal shoe size of 10 in US men. Pretty versatile sandals, but would not recommend wearing them for longer walks or hikes.

I was upset when my birkenstocks arrived with a very deep and large scratch on one of the shoes. I mean, how new could they be if the were handled enough to acquire such a significant scratch? I did have to sand the straps a bit to keep the rough edges them from hurting the tops of my feet but since then, theyve felt very nice. As someone with wide feet I was expecting to use some of the outer buckle holes for a looser fit, but I'm using the second buckle from the tightest and its still roomy. This surprised me. Aside from this these a great shoe! First time having a pair and I'm pretty happy.

This is my second pair of Arizona's with the soft footbed. These are comfortable but do not feel as soft as my first pair (purchased 2 years ago) so I wonder if they cut back on the cushion material. Generally Birkenstock run's big. I normally wear a size 9 US. These are a 39 which is supposed to be between 8.5 and 9 but these are labeled as 8-8.5. I'm happy with my purchase but just be aware of sizing.
