straps cut into my foot. super uncomfortable.

Bought these, Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed - Leather (Unisex), Mar.23, 2016. I have loved these shoes--wear them A LOT in the summer--as my main shoes--VERY COMFORTABLE. They were great until this summer, I noticed that both shoes have developed cracks in the cork foot bed right on either side of the foot just in front of the strap nearest the toes. I was under the impression, from reading other reviews prior to my purchase, that Birkenstocks held up really well through "YEARS" of wear. Apparently this isn't so. I'm very upset, as I think, for the price, they should last longer!!!!! :[

I am probably the only person on earth that regrets purchasing these. I think the hype convinced me to keep them. I hoped they would become more comfortable if I broke them in. The size up is too big and the size down, which I kept, cuts the four toes off on my foot. They have such a severe angle toward the smaller toes. I am now convinced I cannot fit into a Birkenstock shoe with any comfort. Wasted money here.

As mentioned in many of the lower rating reviews, the top straps started to cut into my toes on both feet regardless of whether I made them loose or tight. I've already worn them around, so no returning. These suckers hurt, and I'm not totally sure it's possible to break these in without murdering the tops of my toes

Little support. Very stiff leather. Had neither problem with this style the last time I owned them. As for style, it is in the eye of the beholder.

I called before I placed my order because I was worried about the color of the patterns. I was told that this would be a good idea of what they look like. I received them today and was very disappointed. They are almost entirely orange with almost no other colors to them. The picture is very deceptive! Sad that they will be going back!

Like all Birkenstocks, the arch support is too high and too big (in area). I like the looks of this sandal, but I wish I could get a pair of Clarks with the perfect arch support and toe bar....unfortunately they no longer make them.

People should be told that the soft footbed does not have the same strong arch support as regular Birkenstock's. By the time I realized this, it was too late to return them.

No way, never again! I can not see how anyone considers these sandals outstanding footwear. In fact, they are the most uncomfortable apparel I have ever put on my body. These are not for long-term wear, only very casual short-term wear such as a walk around the block, casual gardening or a short trip to the park or mall. I made the mistake of wearing these to an all day outdoor festival. I have worn sandals in this way before without much of a problem, but by the end of the day I had water blisters on my feet and the straps were severely irritating the tops of my feet. There is this horrible high arch in the center mid section of the sandal that is just very uncomfortable. My guess is this part of the sandal would be better off made a different material which is more flexible than the surrounding soul.\r\n\r\nThe positive is that they look really nice and are okay for short term use, but at this price, one would certainly expect much more comfort from the sandal and much for usability. I will be keeping the sandals for short walks and short trips to the grocery store, but I really can not recommend them at this price.

Would not purchase again - can't wear left sandal - Ordered two pairs, one for me and one for my sister. It took about two weeks to adjust to these sandals. You have to buckle the straps loosely in order for the sandals to fit properly. My right sandal fits perfect, something is wrong with the left sandal. It hurts the arch of my left foot and I can't stand wearing the left sandal. If I knew this would happen I would have sent my pair back. Since I wore these sandals outside to break them in I'm stuck with them. Wish I could have the left sandal replaced. I feel there is a manufactures problem with this left sandal. My sister had no problem with her pair, said they are very comfortable & don't hurt her arch. I also purchased two pairs of the Milano soft footbed sandals for the two of us and neither one of us had a problem with them. The left sandal does not hurt my arch so this is the pair I'm wearing----they feel great.

Squeaky Birks! Never had this issue with Birks before. Thought the squeaks would go away when they got a bit broken in. Nope. Loud enough to be heard with every step.

Low quality shoes, I haven't bought them in years but they aren't very good on wear. In two days, they were causing severe foot pain and the sole had started to wear off already exposing something black. Never again

Very uncomfortable for those with wide feet. Extremely high arch support causing my arches to be sore.

I had ordered the oiled Habana and received the regular habana. They said they couldn’t just send me the right one and I return the wrong one I would have to return them and make a whole new order.

I am big fond of Birkenstock soft footbed shoes, and I bought 5 pairs in last two years. I was in disbelief when I tried this pair. It’s not soft at all. I know that Birkenstock shoes are very popular nowadays. It’s look like the company is giving up the quality for quantity, what is not acceptable. I returned the shoes.

They looked used.

I wish Birkenstock would add extra holes for the buckles for the shoes marked as narrow. The left sandal was a terrible fit, almost like a different size. I had to return. Really wish there were more options for narrow feet. I appreciate the quick delivery and the ease of return from Zappos.

The new large buckle style has a wider leather side and the leather cut into my soft arch skin. It hurt and I couldn't wear the shoe. I have been buying the Arizonia style for over 20 years, but it has always had a small buckle and narrow leather inside. It always fit. This new style of an old favorite is horrible!

This is the first time I tried the soft footbed. I had them on for under 5 minutes and noticed my feet began to itch, I took them off and my soles were red. This has never happened in the 30 years I've been wearing Birkenstocks. I'm going to try the regular foot bed again and hope that it was just the soft foot bed I seem to be allergic to. I hope I don't have to give them up, they're one of the few brands I can wear.
