The sandals were stiff and hard. They hurt my feet. Also the leather was scratched and marred. I own many birkenstocks and none have ever been uncomfortable like these.

I keep trying Birkenstocks in the hope they will fit -- but in vain. Although they are labelled as N width, they are not true narrows, at least for my foot. I try tightening the instep strap to its last hole, and it's still loose. So back they go.

Upper material is extremely stiff. Was uncomfortable and cut into my foot. Do not recall having this issue with Birkenstocks previously. Was very weird and surprising.

I ordered Blue but they looked black. I checked the box and it said Blue so I guess these are very dark navy that reads as black to me. I could live with that, since they do fit well, but the leather of the strap at the toes is stiff and sharp, so they're going back. My previous pair in nubuck didn't have sharp edges on the straps.

Decided to order from Zappos. Arrived in just a clear plastic bag, no shoe box. Can tell they have obviously been worn as there were someone else’s toe prints on the footbed. Returning it and ordering directly from Birkenstock instead since there’s no difference in the price.

These arrived looking very much pre-worn. Hoping the replacements are in better shape!

The leather amalfi leather was unexpectedly shiny but much worse was that the Birks were shipped in a plastic bag and the leather was marred by the sole of the other sandal in multiple places

Love my birks always have but these are staining my feet really bad black and purple I look like I got hurt lol

I am a size 7 or 71/2 which is what I ordered. I was sent size 38 and bc I’d never had a pair of Birkenstocks before I was not sure how they were supposed to fit. I tried to break them in for a couple weeks when my daughter saw them and said they’re too big for you. Expensive mistake.

This was my second order for sandals after I was sent the wrong color, the customer service was AMAZING and help me exchange but these arrived and were right color right size but the wide/regular version, even with the box saying it was narrow. I am sure it was just mix up but after two times getting the wrong sandal I will have to go somewhere else.

I received a copy that had been previously returned because it was a likely a bad copy. The straps were pretty scuffed up and the right sandal didn't track properly when walking which caused the inside heel to position itself too far inside (almost diagonal) creating discomfort. The left fit properly and was very comfortable. I would recommend these sandals as they look good and are lightweight compared to designs from decades ago. But for $135 quality control should have caught this before it left Germany and Zappos should have caught it before they sent it out a second time.

Arch was way too much and made the balls of my feet hurt. I have high arches so sure that's why. Had to return.

Very shiny leather.

I have had several pairs of Birkenstocks before (Arizona model) and these felt cheap. Almost fake. There was a strange clicking sound when I walked too. I think from the buckles but I cannot be sure. Would love to return them but they are past the return date. Just not the same quality as my others for some reason. Probably just a "one off" but nonetheless, not happy with this pair.

We've had a lot of these shoes between my husband and I and our 3 grown daughters over our lives. The quality control just really isn't there anymore. My most recent pair stretched out so much that my foot came out the front walking down a plank onto an airplane and I fell. This specific pair has the holes and buckles at different lengths on 2 of the 4 straps. Birkenstock used to be better.

I ordered 38 narrow in tobacco for my 71/2 size feet. The sandal fit fine, the narrow was the right choice as these are unisex. I’m very brand loyal to Birks, these would’ve been my 8th pair (several styles-for every season). The Zappos picture shows a light brown leather. What I received was a taupe/grey colored nubuck finish. Still, I was pretty excited for them until I walked around for a bit. The top strap cut into the top of my foot. I tried to adjust it but nothing helped. Between the color, the finish of the leather and the strap, they had to go back.

The fit and size was good. The leather is so rough it hurts the top of my feet. I have tried to wear them in the house but I cannot tolerate the rubbing on my toes and instep. I will need to return them.

Took a while to get sizing right for this shoe. Tried a few sizes and ended up liking 37 regular best. did not like the narrow fit and I have regular sized feet. my usual size is a 7-7 1/2. Had some issues with shoe quality. the first pair the black leather was very faded and shoes looked worn. Replacement pair had a gouge in the leather, and third pair had big glue marks on cork. I’m about to give up on these.

I,m having issues with my feet. Tried these but it was not a good fit.

The size was perfect. The color was not. They were very light. I'd describe them as camel or beige.

Runs small.

Footbed is very comfortable. The oiled leather looks good, but it is very stiff and digs into the foot causing painful chafing and blisters even after adjusting for a looser fit. If I ever buy this style again I will look for a softer upper material like suede or Birko-flor. As a woman with narrow feet the unisex sizing makes this sandal look awkwardly wide.
