Bring back my HS Days- I think I wore Desert Boots every day of my HS "Career" from 1962-1966 and it is great to see them available again... I now have 3 new pairs... 1 to wear... the others when #1 "wears out!" Wish that Clarks would produce that original "browner color" again though, as I would be in "retro heaven!"

I really am enjoying my Desert Boots. I used to wear Clark's Desert Boots all the time, and somehow got away from them for years. My wife knew how much I used to love them and surprised me with a pair for Christmas. What a pleasant surprise when I opened the package and saw them. They are just as comfortable as I remember them to be, and look good with whatever I wear.

He's worn them since the 60's- My brother has worn this shoe since the 60's when he was a teen. My mother buys him a new pair every Christmas and he always needs them. Since moving to Florida from Texas, he finds them a little less practical then they were in the desert but still wears them constantly. The amazing thing is that my brother owns two restaurants and they are comfortable enough for him to wear them to work where he is on his feet 12 to 14 hours a day. He recently was asked where to get them from a hospital worker. They look good with jeans.

I use to own Clarks Desert Boot - same color - many years ago and I wore this shoes every time... in fact I still have it although I out grow it. It was the best shoes I ever had - quality and durability-wise. I am so terribly disappointed with the quality of this new shoes that I just purchased. It is totally a different material. The leather is so flimsy and the rubber sole is so flat and "spongy". Nevertheless.. you guys are outstanding...easy to order..fast delivery..easy to return the merchandise... I rated your service-- five stars *****not the shoes

Caddy Daddy - I have worn Desert Boots off and on for about 40 years. They are still the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They always seem as if they are too big when I put them on, but fit just perfect.

purr-r-r-r - ..I wore out my first pair about fifty years ago, and was very happy to find them again at Zappos. Now, if I could only find someone who sells the Cavanagh Cavorter double-brim (hat)...

They run narrow - I was very happy with the selection and service at Zappos. I wouldn't buy shoes over the web anywhere else. Although these shoes look cool (to some) they don't have much support or cushioning. In addition, they run narrow. I have a narrow foot and ordered a medium. They feel even too narrow for me.

No other shoe - I bought my first pair of desert boots in Libya more than forty years ago and I have worn nothing else since then except for a few occasions like when I wore black leather shoes for my wedding. They are easy to care for and always comfortable as all-weather shoes.

A Mod Classic - Timeless style and quality from Clarks - the original desert boot. Dating back to boots used by British Army officers in North Africa in WWII, the desert boot was a mandatory shoe with stylish young mods in Britain in the early sixties. These are really well made, high quality suede. Simple design that just looks good...

Clarks desert boot - No arch support. The leather spots easily and needs to be waterproofed. The crepe sole turns black with wear.

Desert boots an old friend - I started wearing Clarks Desert Boots when I was 7 years old I wore them through Grammar school and then I forgot about them for about 40 years I saw them someplace and rembered how much I used to like like them so I went online to see if they were still made, sure enough I got a pair an they are still just like I remembered them all around great.

Modtastic! A classic shoe in a world full of questionable footwear. You can not get anymore classic. In one word...classic. A classical classy classic with an emphasis on classicosity. P.S. People with wide feet should get ready for a break-in period. Classic.

Clarks's Desert Boot - Very roomy in the heel, and the lace-up seems very weak & flimsy compared with other "boots" I'm used to, but it may well prove to be perfectly adequate. However, the most important qualities to me are that they're well-made, very soft and cool for walking, and they look great. I'm pleased overall.

No quite as I remebered... My recollection from many years ago was that this was the most comfortable shoe in my wardrobe. When I found it again at Zappos I was thrilled to experience this shoe again. I would say that it looks as good as ever. I like the suede and classic crepe sole, but the shoe is wanting in the comfort department, especially as I compare it to my new Born's purchased at the same time. It seems the heel cup rides low and feels like the shoe is coming off when I walk.

Desert Boots - I have owned a pair of desert boots since the 1950’s. I consider them a wardrobe essential. With jeans, khakis or casual slacks I think they look great. I find them comfortable, easy to care for and a great look. For maintenance they require very little, just wear them until dirty (it adds character) and when they develop too much character, wash them with dish soap and a natural brush. And, when the end comes, say goodbye and buy another pair because they are cheaper than sneakers these days. As an aside, they were designed for the British Troops fighting Rommel in the desert during WWII, how cool is that!

Brothel Creepers... ...is what I think the British soldiers call these because they are very quiet shoes; particularly in sand. I have worn Clark's desert boots in Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia amongst other places and finally decided to get a dark brown pair. A friend of mine wears these on safari in Africa because they are so quiet he can creep up on the animals and take their picture or shoot them. Very easy to get on and off in the middle of the night when the bad guys are coming over the wall. Not a traditional hiking or combat boot so not good for load bearing but on an average day in the desert they are great. They don't overheat your feet and they are easily removed to pour out the sand. Great shoes that go with many occasions. Spray them with stain repellent first though.
