Although I have purchased these shoes before (white; never black), I've come to realize they really are not meant for any type of "real" walking. They are best suited for around the house and errands. I walk a minimum of 2 miles a day and these shoes are not up to it. Plus they will last you six months at best. You'll know they are done when you no longer feel any cushion/arch support and feel like your feet are flat. I am looking to find better shoes for walking. I have knee, hip and back pain and, obviously, these shoes don't help.

These shoes did not accommodate my wide foot and the toe box was not roomy enough.

I hoped these would work for me, but they did not. They were soft to the touch. I liked the styling. When I tried them on, they were not wide enough, even though I ordered a wide width. Like most shoes, the shoe makers do not believe that women can have wide feet. Usually I buy mens' styles because shoe makers understand men can have wide feet. Because these were not wide enough, the length also was not long enough. Overall, after trying them on and wearing them a while, I put them back in the box and returned them.

I knew when I ordered these shoes that there was a good chance I would send them back. And, I just did. They are soft. They did fit pretty close. I ordered wide width because I need it. They were wider than their medium width, but it was still tight for me. The length was just a tad too short. The final thing was that they did not provide the support that I need around my foot, almost too soft. I did not put my orthotics in them to see how they would do and how that would change the shoe. In the end, I just didn't feel that I was getting the foot support that I need.

I am on my 4th pair of these sneakers BUT the latest Easy Spirit Romy I just rec'd were not true to size at all!! They were way to wide and my foot slipped out of them.

When I tried them on I thought they were going to be great. Roomy and comfortable, but as I walked in them "ouch" they were tight across the bridge of my foot. I thought maybe I needed to break them in, but after 3 painful tries, I had to send them back! (I normally fit a medium width.)

I bought these shoes to go walking, and they looked like they would be well padded, but they weren't. There doesn't feel like there is much between the soles of my feet and the concrete, so my search for a well padded walking shoes continues.

I was wonderful that this shoe came in a narrow width and did not make my foot look big and clunky. However, I was unable to keep them as both of my ankles started to ache when I tried walking in them. I never had this happen to me before with any shoe or sneaker.

This shoe is very short - I ordered a 7.5N which was too small. I reordered the 8N and it was even smaller than the 7.5.

Nylon eyelets - After two pair of shoes with nylon loop eyelets breaking I gave up. The shoes fit as described and looked trendy. The eyelet problem has to be fixed before I will buy these again.

Not what I expected! What a weird shoe! Absolutely no arch support whatsoever! I never realized how important that was until I tried this shoe. The toe area is a little too roomy and makes my foot slide, but the heel is just right. The materials didn't look to be very durable along the side seams. I could overlook all this and just buy some insoles, but for this price I would like both comfort and quality. I still love Zappos and the quick service they provide. I will continue to shop here but not for Easy Spirits.

This is a leather shoe and very heavy. It's shorter than Easy Spirit's normal sizing and has NO arch support or any other support to it.

Easy Spirit Romy is the second walking shoe ordered from Zappo's described as having arch support which has zero arch support. This shoe actually caused my foot to over-pronate. It also does not have a removable insole, which means that I cannot add a supportive insole/arch support. The mouth of the shoe comes up over the front ankle and gaps while walking.

I was sent a pair of shoes that I hardly could get on. They were very tight. They felt like 1 size toooo small. They hurt. I think someone labeled them wrong.

Horrible shoes. They have virtually no support on the heel, meaning that no matter how much you tighten the laces your foot is going to slip. On top of that when walking downhill one of the seams dug into the top of the foot. After a short 15 minute walk I had horrible blisters on the top of my foot. I’ve never experienced anything like it. On top of that despite the extra width I purchased, they were still too narrow and pinched my feet. I would give negative stars if I could. Horrible shoes.

This pair of Romy’s were marked my size (9-1/2) but they were actually a size 10 or 10-1/2. Disappointed but will try again to see if I can get the right size. This is probably a fluke.

I only started wearing this pair in September and I noticed that I’m getting heel pain. I became devoted to this shoe about a year and a half ago. Others have shared disappointment with the heel specifically. I’m now going to try another brand for an everyday walking shoe.

Way too narrow. I have had trouble ordering these in the past. I ordered two of the exact same pair of sneakers. They are probably manufactured in different places because just looking at them is a big width discrepancy.

It was shorter than normal and wider than a narrow foot of mine can be comfortable in.

I really can1t tell too much about this pair, then I received size 9, and I ordered size 7! What happened to Zappos? For years and years ordered countless shoes from Zappos, I was never disappointed! Now I am. Sad!

I liked the style of the shoe. But I always get extra wide because if not my toes hurt bad. With this shoe it made the joint of both my big toes hurt pretty bad. Even though the size is also a little bigger than what I wear.
