I have only worn my new Docker's shoes once, but so far they are wonderful. The right size and fit, and the style is just what I was looking for. And--they were on sale!!

This is my second pair of the Dockers Shelter model. The first pair lasted 7 or 8 years, and although I still wear them, they're kind of beat up by now -- looking sort of like an old beagle, dragging along reluctantly. There are a few relatively minor differences between the older pair and the new. For example, the new ones are somewhat lighter -- although they seem just as sturdy. Also, the leather upper on the new has a more pebbled finish. And the exterior toe area is slightly higher on the new shoes, which makes for a roomier toe box -- which I appreciate. The fit is virtually identical, though, and that's the most important thing. Plus, the interior feels much better on the new shoes, with a bit more cushioning. Overall, the Shelter is my favorite pair of Dockers, and I've owned several over the past 10 or 12 years. I'm thinking this pair should wear very well over time. P.S. I'm breaking them in slowly so they don't cause blisters, which I'm prone to.

The shoes fit great and the customer service was wonderful. The only complaint is the shoe laces are about 2" too short.

The shoes are just what I ordered. I've been wearing this exact shoe for many years so it's not a big surprise that they fit just right. It only took a few days to arrive which is nice considering how long it's taking to get other items.

THE SHOE IS GREAT. PROBLEM LEFT SHOE TOP LEFT ARPUND WHERE THE SHOESTRING IS RUBS MY FOOT ROUGHLY. I WOULD SEND IT BACK EXCEPT MUY WIFE USE TO WORK IN A SHOE STORE AND WOULD CORRECT SUCH A PROBLEM BY HAMMERINMG THE AREA DOWN. IF THOS DOES NOT WORK I WILL SEND IT BACK. I HAD A PAIR JUST LIKE THIS PAIR. THAT IS THE REASON I PURCHASED THE PAIR. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE LFFT SHOE TOP WHERE TOP HOLE FOR STRING IS CAUSES PAIN AS IT RUBS THE TOP OF MY ANKLE. I HAVE WORKED WITH IT. I HAVE PUSHED THE AREA DOWN AND HELD IT DOWN. IT IS STARTING TO REACT AND LOOSEN THE TOP SO IT DOES NOT RUB THE AREA. IT MAY TAKE A FEW DAYS FOR IT TO REACT AND STAY DOWN. I PLAN TO KEEP THEM FOR A WEEK OR 2 TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM IS CORECTED. IF NOT I WILL RETURN THEM.

After a day of wearing them, I think these are going to be some very comfortable shoes. They fit true to size. They seem to have good cushioning, so they should be good for a long day on my feet. I like the look of the full grain leather. Hopefully, they are as sturdy as they look.

Most comfortable new shoes I have in a long time. If they wear as good as they feel I'll be super happy ?.

I really love these. I wear them about once a week. I don’t wear the same shoes every day but I’m buying another pair so I can wear these more often!

THIS IS PROBABLY THE TENTH PAIR OF THESE I'VE PURCHASED OVER THE YEARS. I LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK, FEEL AND FIT. I THINK THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE, I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THEM AND AS LONG AS THEY KEEP MAKING THEM THE WAY THEY HAVE IN THE PAST I WILL BUY MORE!!

These shoes are great Used for work every day

I bought a similar style in black a few years ago and am happy with it. I needed something that will last.

I have had trouble in the past finding quality comfortable shoes in a wide width until I bought these shoes. These are perfect and I will definitely reorder this shoe in the future.

This is my second pair and I have to say, it’s a great deal. Aside from the initial discomfort while breaking in the shoes, they quickly adjust and there are no issues going forward. They also lasted about 1 ½ years, and I walk a ton. I will definitely buy a third pair when the time comes. Love these shoes and love Zappos!

I've been buying this shoe for longer than I can remember; I still have five pairs in various states of wear, and I think there were others before these. I wanted a shoe that not only looked professional, but also was waterproof, this latter was a claim that I notice is no longer made but I've had no problem in that area. These are my only day-to-day shoes, I wear them for work and non-work activities, and I'm pretty hard on them. They are comfortable, stay looking tidy, and are remarkably good value. The fact that I'm still buying them should be sufficient endorsement. I would say that I have found it necessary to buy a half size larger than regular shoe size. This may be the shoe or it may just be my preference.

My husband buys Dockers because they come in an extra wide width. They are sturdy and durable and a little bit dressy. He wanted brown and these were the only shoes in brown that he liked in his size. He prefers the leather to be smooth, but these shoes actually have a slight bumpy texture.

I ordered these shoes for my husband who needs sturdy yet business-like shoes for work. These were his 3rd pair and he has them in both black and brown. He absolutely loves them. He wears them with jeans or khaki pants almost every day and wears them out in about a year.

I have had these dockers shoes for business casual purposes in the last 12 years or so. I've gone thru at least 4 pairs. They are water resistant as advertised and are very comfortable when you are on your feet a lot. What I did notice was the sole wears out a bit faster with my last pair. Overall, I've been very happy with this style of shoes. I hope they keep making them. Can't beat it for the value and style.

I have these shoes on as I write this review, and they are very comfortable after only 3 days of wearing them 10 hours a day. Didn't need much of a break in at all. Seem as they will be very durable as I got them for a daily wearer at work instead of sneakers for the winter. I wear 11,ordered 11,and they fit perfet. I also have a high arch and seems like support is very adequate. Also tread seems as tho it has good traction without being deep enough to have stones stuck in tread.

Dockers Shelter are the best shoes I've ever owned, better than sneakers. The shoes are comfortable and the uppers are long lasting. The soles provide comfort for walking long distances over various surfaces but one trades durability for comfort. Now I can wear a pair of shoes for about a year before the soles get too worn and with winter ice I want some lugs for soles then. By Fall my soles are worn to need a new pair but I do a lot of walking so I accept it because of the comfort. Thanks!

This is about the fourth or fifth pair of these Dockers Shelter shoes I've bought because they wear well, they look good, they fit well and they're inexpensive. The only thing I would change on them is the sole. I do lots of walking on concrete and brick sidewalks and the soles seem to wear out rather quickly and smooth soles on smooth wet surfaces are dangerous. It would cost me about as much to have the soles replaced as it would to buy a new pair of shoes but the uppers are made of such fine leather that they still look good. The softer soles probably give a more cushioned walk so perhaps it's a trade-off: soft soles, smooth step, wear quicker versus hard soles, harder step, wear longer. Bottom line: great shoe all around.
