Great looking comfortable shoe - These shoes look great, and feel great on my feet.

Excellent fit and very comfortable. Great for outdoor work as well as casual wear. I found the shoe to be very true to size in length as well as width. It repels water well as I have worn it in some very wet conditions.

I am always on the lookout for a true wide width shoe. This is my third pair of this style because they just fit. Two drawbacks - the laces... for whatever reason these shoes refuse to remain tied. A colleague of mine had the same style shoes and had the same complaint. Second, the soles are soft and tend to wear down to flat really fast - two years or so. I know I could take them to a cobbler for some half soles but I really like the look of the faux lug sole. Until it wears off that is.

Nice shoe for the money. Just a little tight but works with a less bulky sock.

I bought these even though I've been trying to steer myself away from buying shoes with rugged soles, because I already have so many. The shoe is comfortable, and since it's timeless, it always looks nice in some setting or another. On the downside, the weld isn't sewn together, but "bonded", as it says in the description, so it's probably not as durable as many respected brands for this style. Overall, I'm not particularly impressed with anything about the construction of the shoe. The laces also seem cheap, but then I'm constantly replacing laces on new shoes, because it's such a small expense. What it is, however, is an all-around decent shoe, with no major faults that I can see. As far as shoe sizes, I'm a 10 3/4, because about half the shoes I buy are 11's and the other half are 10 1/4. I didn't try the 10 1/2 size on in these shoes, because the 11's seem to fit me perfectly. Since about half the shoes I buy are 10 1/2's, though, that may, or may not, indicate that these run ever so slightly small, but it's certainly not as much as one reviewer said. The width of the shoe was about as expected, meaning that it's not terribly wide, but it's not a narrow version of an older style that's supposed to run wide, either. I'd say that they're just right. The last thing I'll say is that the arch support should be better for a shoe like this. I think everyone chose that it has a "moderate arch support" because it does have some arch support, but not as much as it should have. It would be much more comfortable if it did.

I wanted a sturdy shoe and this shoe is sturdy and well made. Although it is my usual size it feels a bit large. The padding around the ankle is not nearly as comfortable as I had hoped. I'll have to put more miles on them before they feel good and "fit like an old shoe."

Comfortable shoe, scuffs kind of easy but good value for the price. Zappos is the best! I don't need to leave my couch to shop for shoes.

Very comfortable. It does have stain defender but my problem is having it scratched. Once scratched, it's hard to remove the mark. I don't abuse it but I can't avoid hitting the legs of my computer chair, ups and tower. It's not a strong kick either. A lite touch scratches it up. But again, it is very comfortable.

Great Work Shoe - I wear these shoes everyday to work in. I bought a pair last year and wore them out and had to replace them with the exact same pair. I like them so much that I bought a brown pair and a black pair.

This shoe is sort of uncomfortable but nicely made with good looks. Order a size smaller than your normal size for it is somewhat larger in size than the average shoe size

The fit was great with a generous toe box. For me, the leather of the upper is very stiff, and rubbed against my ankle bone. It caused a blister after a short period of time. I liked everything else about the shoe, but I'm going to have to return them because I won't be wearing them everyday and I don't want to put moleskin on my ankles every time I put them on.

My second pair of these shoes was quite inferior to the first. They are less durable, less comfortable (narrower in the toe especially), and just a teeny bit leaky.

purchased for work shoes. I have to wear a shoe that is somewhat dressy. There isn't a lot of cushioning in this shoe. Would not recommend for daily work use.

I've been buying Rockports for years, but decided to try something new. Well, the Shelter looks great, but see that heel padding? It pulls your socks down when you walk. So I returned these.

My husband loves these shoes for work. It's hard to find them in wide width in the stores but Zappos always has them and they are here the next day! It's easier and cheaper to buy them from Zappos than to shop for them! I'll always go to Zappos first.

Very comfortable shoes. Deliver as promised. I will now order the brown ones.

This is my 6th pair of these over the years. They are very comfortable, especially when you wear them for a while. Good quality, all leather upper and comfortable sole. My only complaint on these shoes is the sole wears out before the upper. Don't get me wrong they last for many years. The shoe would last for many more years if the sole would last longer.

The shoes were well made, but they were just too narrow for me.

The style and fit of the shoe is fine. The construction and appearance as well. I have an older pair of this model and look forward to a long lasting wear since my original pair is more that five years old and still look great and hold a great shine. Attached are photos of the older and new pairs. Hav not yet applied polish to the nw.
