Spira walkers - I was told by my podiatrist to order these shoes for my heel spur problem. I honestly thought they would be a comfortable shoe but I have found in the two times I wore them that I limped horridly because of the pain involved. The spring issue did nothing. I had to go back to my Crocs and only then am I able to walk with a slight decrease in the pain level. I am in my early 50's and have always been able to find comfortable shoes until the spur problem started over a year ago. It has been a costly venture for me and so after hearing about the Spira’s I thought they would help.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. They run narrow for a wide and not true to size! I would have expected better for my money! I will not buy these again!

Not worth the money! I was expecting a supported, cushioned shoe. Especially for the price. These are average at best. Skechers does a better job with their shoes.

Shoe is basically comfortable, BUT after 6 mo use of just mall walking by a 73 yr retiree, the springs gave out and squeaked when I walked! My granddaughter called me "mousey" for the sound they made. I returned the shoes to co. They said "it was normal wear and tare. So be warned as a PS they never returned the shoes to me ,as I could use them in the garden. Yours Joe

These shoes felt fine when I tried them out by wearing them on carpeting in the house. However, when I wore them outside to walk a few blocks, they caused pain in my ankles and it was so severe that I could not wear them again. Since I wore them outside I could not return them so I will have to give them to the Salvation Army.

I am very disappointed that you are no longer carrying the wider size I have bought my shoes from you for 4 years.

For months, these shoes were great, but after about 5 months my left foot started hurting under the ball of the foot. Felt inside shoe, could not see any reason why. I ultimately looked under the shoe and discovered a large hole and could see the spring. Threw shoes away (recycled) and am still dealing with injury 6+ months later. Usage: walked 3+ miles most days, activity classes 3Xs a week. I do not recommend this product.

Great shoe until they changed product quality - I have been an avid jogger/walker for 20 years. I first tried Spira about 1 1/2 years ago. What a great shoe - nice, thick, supportive, leather uppers and a spring-back sole to help when walking on concrete and asphalt. The shoe typically lasted me about 6 months. I recently ordered my third pair (the first and second pair were fabulous). I cannot say this for the third pair. I knew within one week something was different. The quality is gone. My feet hurt and the leather uppers are now replaced with some synthetic material. I took both my old shoes and new pair to get a professional shoemakers opinion and he said the new shoes are junk. So knowingly or unknowingly, Spira product quality has changed. I contacted them to let them know what has happened, but I’m sure it will take months and probably years to fix this situation. I will never purchase this shoe again unless I knew they were going back to the original patent. I will search for another quality shoe that sustains quality.

Watch out! We got 2 pairs. My daughter wore hers very little, but still found the spring on one coming thru the outer sole. Mine, worn harder, show where the springs are, but have not broken thru. The company had little sympathy, but Zappos was wonderful!

Not quite right - I ordered this shoe in an 11, because the 10 1/2 was just a tad too small. But in the 11 the bar in the sole of the shoe that keeps the spring in place cut into my heel, and made it painful to walk.

I gave these shoes a "two week wear" and finally had to put them away. They made my feet go numb and they became so painful I had a hard time walking by the end of day. Somehow the arch support is just not in the right place thereby causing nerve pain. I can only say they look good. If you are on your feet all day, don't buy this style of Spira.
