I am so disappointed by these shoes. I read so many reviews, I thought these would help. I work in a hospital and at the end of my eight hour shift my feet were screaming. I have only worn them three times and not consecutively. I have pronation and arch issues along with ankle arthritis. I found the shoes to be narrow, heavy and hard. A big waste of money.

Comfortable but not worth the cost. They are a lot heavier than I expected and not nearly as comfortable as I would have hoped for the price I paid.

There is less room for my toes in this pair of shoes than in the last two pair of this exact shoe that I had purchased. I've been a fan of this shoe until this last purchase. I will be shopping around for more room in the toe area next time I buy shoes.

I have heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and a surgically reconstructed tendon in one ankle. I can stand for hours in these shoes and feel zero pain or fatigue. They are among the most comfortable and supportive shoes I have ever found (Other Spira models are just as comfortable.). There is only one significant problem, which is the tread wore off completely in six months. This is a big problem if you need them to be anti-slip for work codes (such as hospitals). They were the best shoes I've ever owned though until the tread wore off.

This shoe is so hard I'm amazed anyone called it comfortable. I tried them on and the hard arch ran like a ridge from one side of my foot to the other. The tongue is super padded and the shoe fit OK.
I couldn't stand to walk or stand on this concrete-like sole/arch.
Right back to Zappos. Good riddance. Very expensive, and not worth it.

These sneakers do run small and I thank Zappos for working with me to get the correct fit. At first, these sneakers did help my neuroma but after wearing for more than an hour I found that my toes were feeling numb. Also, I have a big toe joint problem and that the outside of my toe felt discomfort It is my hope that once my new orthotics are finished that this will help alleviate my pain. I will post again in a month,

I have had 2 pairs over the past 2 years, bought on the instructions of a foot surgeon. I bought these for severe metatarsalgia - I don't think they helped at all. They are heavy and ugly as sin. Getting used to that strange extension on the inner front of the shoe took a few days.
I am a D width but had orthotics that took me up to an EE, which is what I bought. I needed to buy them 1/2 size longer and lace them in a way in front that did not put pressure on the front of my foot.
I am still in search of a good walking shoe - why don't any have a bit more of a heel - but I was delighted when my new Podiatrist ordered me to stop wearing them.
I found them pretty durable. I never felt the benefit of the springs.

Ordered my usual shoe size but they were too small. Strange after reading the other reviews.

I purchased a pair of these shoes and they were fine for 2 1/2 months and then they started squeaking. Everyone at school knew it was me because of my shoes. It is really embarrassing. They have real comfort and I love them without the terrible squeaks. I will buy another pair so I hope this doesn't happen again. I am getting them exchanged today. Zappos has nothing but the customer at heart! What a great company! And the girls whom you work with on the phone are absolute Angels! Keep up the good work!

This shoe was comfortable in all respects; however, I had ordered several other pair at the same time and discovered the Brooks Addiction Walker V-Strap was even more comfortable. In comparison to the Brooks, the Spira felt too clunky and certainly looks clunky. Thank you, Zappos, for allowing me to purchase and return shoes until I found the perfect fit. I tell everyone about Zappos and several of my friends have made purchases - yay!

Good support, problem is with the toes. I wear a 10WW and the toes were crunched in the shoe. I normally wear New Balance and was hoping for a new type shoe with better cushion in the sole. Disappointed. Hurts toes.

I bought this shoe because the sole did not flair out like running/aerobic shoes. I take a spinning class and needed a shoe that did not rub when I was pedaling. This shoe is better used for walking or standing all day and not really meant as an athletic shoe. It does not \'breath\' so your feet get hot and sweaty when exercising. However, my feet do NOT get tired in them! I can see where they would make an excellent work shoe. I have a small wide foot (Japanese)and these shoes FIT Perfectly! They are NOT attractive, but very practical for those on their feet all day.

Comfy, but...
Really comfy, but oh my... they are weighty! Also, felt “hot” and constricted. Had to send these back.

Spira shoes -
I am on my second pair of shoes. I have flat feet and spend my working days walking on cement and blacktop. They were very comfortable from the beginning with no tired feet at the end of the day. My only complaint was that they lasted me only 6 months when the metal wore through the bottom of the shoe. I tried new balance to save money and sent the shoes back the next day. They are well worth the money, just wish they would last longer. But when it comes to my feet comfort comes first. And orthos fit great in them.

My Black Spira shoes -
I love my white Spira shoes so I ordered the black for winter. Unfortunately they are smaller in height, width, the whole thing. They don't fit as well with my insoles that I must wear. I was disappointed to pay a few more dollars and not get the quality that I did with my white pair. So much for ordering on the internet and not trying on!

I would love to love these shoes BUT -
This is a very promising shoe, and for the first four days they were the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. As I continued to walk on them, however, I experienced pain and burning in the front part of my foot. I also tried additional insoles without success. So, while they are very comfortable for limited wear, I cannot wear them the entire day or everyday. I have a very high arch and do not have a problem with the front part of my foot in other shoes. Perhaps this review will help others.

Wish there was an excellent insole to match the price!
I love the bouncy shoe, but it would be much more comfortable if the insole support system matched the hefty price of the shoes. I had to buy an insole to go under the insole which was in the shoe, due to the very hard surface of the inner shoe.

The reviews I read of this shoe were glowing. There was an article in Readers Digest last year and that was glowing. However, I find that I slip when I am walking on tile floors, and almost fall. This was supposed to be a safe shoe, and I am really worried about falling.
For me they were expensive, but I think I will go back to the Etonic and Easy spirit.

Spira's Classic Leather Shoe -
This shoe needs more arch support and you have to buy it at least a half a size larger than you normally would.

I started out liking the shoe except it never was safe on wet floors and I work in a restaurant. I haven't had the shoe a year yet and suddenly it's like something happened to one of the springs in one of the shoes and now it's killing my foot. I had to buy new shoes. For the price I thought I'd get more than a years wear out of them since I only wear them to work in.

Can feel the spring in the ball of the feet, more on the right. Can't wear them every day because the spring hurts. Does anyone else feel the springs in these shoes?

The design of the Spira Classic Leather provided relief for a painfully inflammed joint, for which I am very grateful. However, the quality of the product is very poor. The shoe only lasts about three months, far less than what I found to be the case with New Balance. Several local stores will not stock the shoe.\r\n\r\n

I work for the Postal service. I walk and climb stairs every day. I get a uniform allowance to buy shoes, but the ones I am allowed to choose from are limited. I have always ended up with tired sore feet. I thought maybe a better quality shoe would make a difference. I was wrong. I spent quite a bit of my own money and I still have sore tired feet. The Spira shoes don't feel any better than a pair of Payless shoes. All those great reviews were misleading. Honestly, I can't feel any difference. My feet are still tired at the end of the day.

The shoe -
I walk a lot everyday, I'm a letter carrier so I walk over all kinds of terrains. The shoes got wet one day and now they squeak when I walk. I'm truly disappointed in the quality of this shoe for the price I paid for them.

Wish I could get my money back!
Got these because of all the 5 star reviews and wish I could send them back. As a waitress, I was counting on these shoes! They are NOT slip proof and my feet hurt worse than with any other shoe I've tried. It's unrealistic to try the shoe in your carpeted living room because that is not real life! I needed to see how they would do at work and now of course, I can't ship them back as they are soiled! They slipped on my heel and overall I just cannot recommend them!
