Best ballet flats ever - As a devoted fan of ballet flats I was totally bowled over by my pair of Arche Laius flats in a lovely crinkly silver that arrived today. They are truly the most comfortable, amazing ballet flat I have EVER worn. The cushiness of the insole is akin to walking on pillows, and this is one of the few ballet flats that doesn't slip in the heel and fits my foot like a glove. I have a feeling I'll be getting some more of these in other colors. As for sizing: definitely go up a size if you're a half size like me. I’m usually a US 6.5 but got these in the European 38 (US 7s) and they're perfect.

I love these shoes. They are ridiculously expensive but for me, the comfort and look are worth the price. I wear them all the time.

Love them - Not for walking long distances, touring, or even shopping all day long. Love my sparkly Arche flats, great for parties, picnics, etc.

Great shoe - The fit and comfort of this shoe is remarkable, and the color is a wonderful very dark charcoal.

Perfect ballet slipper- Looks like nothing when scrunched up, but on the foot it fits like a glove. Like a true ballet slipper, only better because of the bouncy latex sole, and the great Arche leatherwork, who allows one to wear it barefoot without the lining coming apart. I have it in tow colors (the other white cutouts).

My third pair of Arche Laius. This pair is my first in suede and it felt small and narrow even though it’s the same size as my others. Unlike the other pairs these needed a few days of wear to stretch and now they fit fine.

Very cute shoe. Unfortunately, I've found that Arche tends to run narrower and more pointed than they used to, so they will have to go back.

This is a very nice ballet flat. I have bunions and usually find that ballet flats cut right into them, but this shoe comes up a little higher in the front and avoids that problem. You will definitely need to go up a full size for the proper fit. The shoes are very comfortable, but I wouldn’t spend a day walking around the city in them because of the thin sole and lack of arch support. That said, I like how supple they are and they look great with slacks and jeans.

I love the shoes. They are incredibly comfortable! I can dress them up and dress them down.

Nice quality shoes but the fit is off. No choice but to return them. They are quite narrow across the toes but normal width on the heel.

I've owned several pairs of Arche shoes over the years. I am always seduced by their good looks, that soft buttery nubuck leather, etc. And yet they are never as comfortable as they look. This style is no exception, and I think I am going to send it back. This shoe is a snug fit even though I ordered up as suggested. It has no arch support to speak of and although the leather is nice and soft, I am pretty sure that if I tried to do any serious walking around in these shoes I'd get a hotspot or blister from the topline rubbing my foot within a few blocks. This makes me very sad because they are truly beautiful shoes, and I especially love the deep royal blue color I ordered. But I don't think I can keep them. Luckily, Zappos has the best customer service in the world, and it will be painless to send them back. Thanks, Zappos!

This is a nice, simple little ballet, but I wish the soles would have been more substantive. They are fairly thin. I didn't think I would be able to walk in them for a good part of the day, so I am returning them. Many have commented that the shoe runs small; I normally wear a size 7 or 7-1/2 and went with my normal size, 38. It was a little snug, but jumping up to size 39 might not have worked. This shoe would be more successful if it came in half sizes, as ballets are sometimes hard to fit anyway. For a shoe of this price range, you'd think Arche would care enough about fit to offer half sizes.

Too sloppy. Foot all over the place.

These shoes are comfortable and the nude color, slightly pink, is lovely.

The (new to me) iron color Laius is a perfect addition to the black Laius I have worn for years. My wider than M feet are comfortable in this new shoe. I love the color with spring/summer clothes. Size 39 fits in both black and iron leather styles.

I love these shoes! This is my 3rd pair in black ... they last about 5 years before wearing too much on the bottom that they lose traction and I wear them frequently. They are great in the rain as they do not fall apart and look good with jeans and work outfits. I have fairly long narrow feet and a high arch so the low cut at the front is comfortable and the snug fit in the heel keeps them from feeling like I will step out of them which can often happen with flats. Love these shoes! Highly recommend these shoes.

I followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a 1/2’size up. PERFECTION! Yes, these shoes are more expensive than what I was looking for, but THEYRE WORTH EVERY EXTRA PENNY! So comfy and good looking. They’re fabulous. Don’t wait! Order!

This shoe saved my life. It fits even though my feet cannot walk in heels anymore and it looks chic. Very comfy. I have five or six pair in this style alone. I can stand for a long time and walk withought stumbling! Love Arche

Great shoe. Just bought my second pair the first pair was purchased for a European vacation and they were wonderful- versatile and comfortable right out of the box. Had to replace them because I wore them out. This new pair is equally awesome. Highly recommmend. They are very soft. Not much arch support. Great for wearing with skirts or pants. Pretty for a flat with great colors.

I love these shoes! I have purchased other styles of Arche in the past. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I love the simple style. I bought them in black. I usually wear size 8 1/2, so I got the size 9. They are just a little big, but I am making them work. I want to get the navy, but they are out of stock. They are worth the money!

AMAZING - just as I had heard they would be! My cousin had these shoes, and I put them on my "wish list" for years and then finally bought them. PERFECT - Could have toured Disneyland the first day of wearing them (and I have flat feet!). I wear an 8.5 but bought a 39 because I do not want them slipping on my heel (my width is Medium leaning to Narrow). NO side gaps either that some flats have. Perfect comfy fit. Worth every penny..and worth the wait!

Laius is such a classic style. It is perfect for boyfriend jeans to Eileen Fisher outfits. I have found that each pair fits differently. One could be super comfortable and the other would need some tweaking with shoe stretchers, especially by the heel where the tab is located. Pay attention to the advice about sizing if you normally wear a half size.This style fits best if you wear, say, size 6½ M and buy a 38. Laius reminds me of the original Taryn Rose ballet flats. There is no arch support but their Poron sole was so comfortable, you could walk for miles.
