I am on at least my 3rd pair of these shoes over the past several years, so I know what size I need. They are great work shoes! However, the shoe opening is now so narrow I can’t get my foot it. I have bought 2 different pairs from 2 different vendors and they have exactly the same problem. I read that they changed manufacturers, so maybe that’s the issue. Regardless, I’m now off to find similar, but different shoes. Unfortunate.

Actually, this is the closest in appearance to the actual shoe I wanted. I think the one I wanted is the predecessor of this style. But this, Size 7, Med width: It bowed/buckled on the each side of my foot. In resting state you could already see it bowing. In motion it buckled. My Mom always taught me to look for poor workmanship this way. Never did I EVER think I would find this particular issue with THIS brand. It has been my favorite brand above all others for decades (ever since I entered the workforce in 1993). I waited weeks. Felt like a real kid at Christmas counting down the days until its arrival. Crushed. It arrived to my home and within 10minutes' time it was already back in its shipping box. It likely only took that long because I was in denial and just truly having a moment of disbelief. Saddened. Welpthere you have it. Believe meit brought me no joy to bring you this review.

This shoe began to show wear on the inside of the shoe very quickly. The inside peeled and looked horrible. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately I did not realize this is the exact same shoe I have. I bought them here too but have not been happy with the material. Even through my trouser socks, the black dye ends up on my feet and is hard to scrub off. You should share this info with the maker. Otherwise I love the style and they are comfortable. I

I was SO disappointed with these shoes. I purchased the Franco Sarto Nolan a couple of years ago and LOVED them. These are now made with extremely cheap leather and stitching. The wide width was too narrow to even get my foot into. Not at all like my previous purchase of the exact same shoes.

I have loved wearing Franco Sarto shoes for almost 25 years and have owned many pairs. These arrived and I was so excited but then I noticed that one of the shoes (clearly brand new, unscuffed soles) is defective - the liner on the tongue is coming apart - so I need to send the pair back. I will keep searching for a pair of loafer heels.

I have worn these shoes for at least 10 years. Love them for work. I have always purchased the 7.5W. The pair I just received from Zappos seemed more like a size 6. Couldn't even start to get them on my feet. They are going back.

I loved the shoes as soon as I opened the box! Unfortunately I have not only a wide foot(I ordered 9W) but a high instep. I now know how cinderellas stepsisters felt. I could barely squeeze my forefoot in. Never even got the full foot into the shoe. Having wide feet is such a challenge. I never can walk into a store and see a cute pair of shoes and buy them. The only way to get wide shoes is to shop the limited and less attractive selection online.

Not only does this shoe not fit (too narrow and stiff), but it is not stylish at all. I was so hoping that this shoe would be a great replacement for a previous pair that I loved so much that I bought 2 pair.

I am a normal size 12 in close toed shoes and used to buy Franco Sartos all the time for work shoes. Have this exact shoe from over 5 years ago and wanted to replace it but it was entirely too narrow and short on me, I could barely get my foot in the shoe.

This shoe is exactly what I've been wanting -- so I was so disappointed that the wide width was still not wide enough for my foot. When I took it out of the box, it did not look like a wide width shoe, and I had to double check the box to make sure that the correct size was mailed. Unfortunately, this shoe is simply just to narrow for me.

These are a great looking shoe but the "wide width" seemed narrow. Also, wide across does not mean wide height....so because I have fat feet (not just wide feet) I couldn't really get my foot in them.
