This is a nice sturdy shoe. It feels a little tight from top of the shoe to bottom where the toes are, but I am hoping that with enough wear they will stretch to make my toes feel a little less suffocated.

I bought these shoes for the office and they have become a staple of my work wardrobe. I am on my feet most of the day and these shoes can handle it. I'm really glad I bought them and plan to wear them until a heel breaks!

I had been looking for a pair of smart heels I could wear to work (I am barely 5'2) that wouldn't break my back and that were above all - STABLE.Pros - These shoes fit the bill perfectly - they are nice to look at, oh-so comfortable (I can actually run in them, which is amazing stability for someone like me who never wears heels) and not too expensive. Cons - when they arrived I tried them on without socks and they were tight...I felt terrible because I didn't want to return them because I really liked the way they looked. I walked around the house with them on for an hour or so and I don't know - maybe they loosened up because I have worn them after without any major issues. But a warning - they do run on the narrow and small side.

Very solidly built, though actually kind of heavy on the foot relative to other shoes. Good width and good arch support - surprisingly comfortable for the heel height.

These are actually my second pair of Franco Sarto's Nolan. They're my everyday work shoes. Comfortable, but classic and professional. Perfect for the business casual office. Pairs as well with dress slacks as with jeans on casual Friday.

Slippery - These shoes are very cute and are a lot lighter in color than pictured. I put them on and walked on a hardwood floor and nearly slipped. The heel does not have any type of traction. It is just the same material as the heel. That is mostly why I ended up returning them. They were comfortable for the time I had them on - but a little tight around the widest part of my foot.

Sarto's Nolan - Looks good - good quality really like the shoe - would recommend.

Hard working shoe - I needed a classic black shoe to wear with work slacks: this shoe has a nice wide round toe box that allows for more flexibility for my toes and the heel is a good hight. Standing at a cocktail reception for four hours proved to be painful, but the venue had concrete floors, always a challenge. When these shoes break in, they will be a wardrobe staple.

Styling is very good; they are appropriate for casual as well as work. Comfort is better than average. Quality is also better than average. Cons: The right heel has squeaked loudly since the first wearing. I hope it does not break.

Nice shoes for narrow feet, but... It's hard to find nice shoes for narrow feet at a reasonable price. These shoes look good and fit a narrow foot well except the heel is loose and slips. I've put in one set of heel grips and am getting ready to try another set recommended by my shoe repairman. Yes, I had to take them to a repairman already. The soles are non-skid but the heels are not. You could possibly get hurt with these slick heels, and if you are like me, you are almost sure to get embarrassed by the slick heels at some point. But luckily the cobbler can remove the slice piece (about 1/4" end piece) and replace it with a rubber one. That will make them much quieter to walk in, too. Didn't mean to sound to negative. I do really like the shoes. They look great with lots of different clothes and I love the height of the heel since I'm short. Will be great this winter with tight and skirts, but they also look good with jeans. Overall, these are really nice shoes and I'm so glad I found them. I ordered a pricey pair of Donald J. Pliner's at the same time. I like these much better!

Third pair of Nolans - This is my third pair and I love them. The only problem I have is like some of the other reviewers have said is the Heelys, they are plastic. I took these new black ones to the cobbler and had him remove the plastic and put on rubber heels. I also had him raise the heel half an inch. Now with the angle changed, they are great and look so much dressier. Thank you Zappos for the great service and a chance to tell my story.

Love Them - Except for Two Things! These shoes are great! They can be dressed up or dressed down. I am on my feet a lot and they are very comfortable. There are only a couple negatives to mention. At first they were a little stiff, but quickly broke in. Also, the heels can be a little slick on tile floors. Walk carefully!

Great everyday shoe - I wear Sarto shoes for work 4 days out of 5 every week. They fit well and don't hurt at the end of a 10 hour work day. That said, this shoe is just a little tight in the toe box area at first. It does stretch out over time though.

Great shoe...a little narrow - I bought these after wearing out another pair of Franco Sarto shoes that look virtually identical except for the heel. The only difference I notice is that this shoe is a little narrower than my previous pair. I've never had a bad experience buying this brand - they are comfortable and attractive.

These are nice. I wear a size 5 and have an awful time finding shoes I like. I wanted a pair for the office and so far they feel great. I wish they fit just a bit smaller; the heel feels it may start to slip already even though today is the first day wearing them...

Nice dress shoe - These shoes are very stylish and appear to be well made. Looks good with a skirt or slacks for work. I usually wear a size 8.5 Wide and had to reorder a 9W; still a bit tight but hopefully will stretch. As always, Zappos made it easy to return and promptly sent me a different size. I'm considering ordering a brown pair.

Bought these shoes because I needed something for work. I found them comfortable from the 1st day. They look nice with slacks and would recommend them to anyone looking for a little less heel, but still wanted to look put together.

Pleasantly Surprised! I ordered and received this pair in size 11 and I am very pleased with the fit and I'm surprised at how comfortable they feel. I wore them all day at the office and did not feel the need to remove them at all. One of the most comfortable pair of shoes, in this heel height I have ever owned.

Had so much hope for this shoe based on the reviews but the 8.5 M was extremely snug and I'm normally a medium so I was very disappointed to send it back because the rest of the shoe seemed perfect. Perhaps a wide might work better in this style.

The comfort - This is a great shoe. I am very pleased. This is the second shoe that I bought from Franco Sarto and they are both wonderful. I am a special ed. teacher and chase children all day long - these shoes work great - they are professional, yet comfortable and I am able to run up and down three flights of stairs all day and still be comfortable when I go home. They are a little big to size. Both pair that I bought were a little bit and I took them to a shoemaker to insert something to make them a bit smaller. I would suggest buying a half size smaller but since I am a size 5 that is the smallest that this company is making them.

Winter business shoe - Good winter hard leather shoe for jeans or business. Very durable. Comfort is ok. Arch is acceptable. Fit is ok. Due to the hard leather the shoe is not form fitting to my wide foot like soft leather but does the job. I could not wear this shoe everyday.

Classy pump for slacks - Finally a pair of narrow shoes that don't make my feet look so long. These look great with a pair of slacks. I am not accustomed to heels this high, but they are pretty comfortable and easy to walk in. These are my first pair of Franco Sartos, but I'll definitely check out this brand in the future.

Great look, but a mean shoe to break in... I have had four or five pairs of Sartos over the years. I absolutely love the look, however for me, the break-in time is painful at the top, middle part of my foot. Once the shoe stretches and softens, then it is just wonderful.

Surprisingly comfortable - This shoe was very comfortable from the start. The footbed feels just a little cushy- not squishy, but it absorbs some of the impact of walking around in heels. The heel height is a little higher than what I am used to, but they didn't require any breaking in at all- I put them on and they felt great. They look really sleek with pants, and the soles give you a little traction- they aren't slippery-slick on the bottom. They are really easy to walk in!
