I needed a pair of shoes with a good sole since I'm on my feet 8 hours a day at work. These are great shoes as they seem tough and haven't worn out at the seams like my last pair of Asics. The sizing is good and they are wide enough to fit my weirdly shaped feet. Definitely a good buy although I wish the other styles looked like they were as sturdy as this one.

Sweet shoes that come with free squeaks - Absolutely love the look of these shoes. I am still debating on whether to buy 4-5 more pairs as backups since it is so difficult to find a tan suede sneaker. First few weeks I walked around they squeaked like mad, it was embarrassing walking down the hallway. I contacted customer support as a courtesy to inform them of this problem, they replied with some warranty claim. I don't want them replaced I was just informing them. After a few emails back and forth, she told me I could return them and they would exchange them for a "quieter" shoe?? I guess that means the Simple OS stands for Obligated Squeaking and you should purchase one of their quieter lines if you don't prefer the squeaking. Other than that...cool shoe, btw, just rip out the sole and replace it with aftermarket ones to fix the problem.

Fantastic look/comfort, not the most durable - I got my first pair of these two years ago. They look fantastic, and are very comfortable to wear. My only complaint is that they only seem to last about a year (although I am admittedly very hard on shoes). Both pairs I have owned have had the heal portion of the shoe start to wear through after 10 months or so, and disintegrate a few months after. Regardless, I like these shoes so much that I'm buying a third pair!

One small flaw - This is my second pair of these, and I ordered the blue ones this time (I ordered sand last time). The blue dye on the shoes rubs off on the laces and the non-blue part of the shoes. It’s not terrible, but it is annoying. For that reason alone, I won't order this color, or any color where the dye might run.

Great shoe - I hate shoes. I think they all look stupid. There is way too much design going on in that square foot of fabric. That's why I like this shoe. It's practical, yet, elegant, and doge gone it, simple. It is just as comfortable as any other shoe I own. My only qualm is that with some socks, I get squeaks when I walk. I might be the only one, but I thought that was weird and I hope that it goes away as I break them in.

Simple - The shoes have a unique look and the recycled tire-soles are part of the appeal. They are comfortable, but a little loose feeling. Decent value.

Very Cool- So far, I love them. Great looking shoes in green. There is an area on the sole that seems a little soft, so we'll see how well they last, but otherwise, I very happy with my Simples.

Tried and True - This was my second pair of this style of Simples and I continue to be very happy with them. For basic street wear, they're excellent and last a long time. I've had this pair for a year and a half and they are still in great shape. I do only wear them to work and in the city, but they've held up great.

Simply comfortable. Nice shoes. Takes a little while to break in like most shoes. It took about a week for me, and the breaking in process was not uncomfortable. The only thing is that the black dye for the leather part rubs off on the laces and on the inside of the tounge. You can't really see any of this while wearing it, but I'd be careful packing the shoe next to white garments while traveling. All-in-all a good shoe, but it won't be the best I've ever had.

Not as much cushion on the balls of my feet--but overall a comfortable shoe. They are very soft and break-in quickly.

Nice & Simple - This is a comfortable shoe that is made very well and looks great. It's the second time I purchased this style and my previous pair is still holding together very well after 3 years of almost daily wear, but they were really dirty and the rubber on the bottom was getting thin. I bought the Jungle Green this time, and it was a darker green than I expected but still looks good. The main thing I'd say about these shoes is that they don't breathe very well. They're comfortable and versatile though, and should last you a long time. I'd definitely recommend them.

Good, but not as nice as they used to be - Ordered a pair and they were basically like the ones I bought over 12 years ago. However, they are more snug in their fit and aren't as comfortable as the ones I had before. Still a very easy shoe to work with though.

Good lookin' but they hurt! Definitely the coolest looking shoes I have ever owned. I tried to do the right thing and buy earth friendly shoes. I WANT to like them, I really do but they hurt my feet. Very stiff and make noise when you walk. Wore them to work one day and could hardly walk by the end of the day. Tried them a couple of time for half days, hopping they would break in, but still just about the same. Happy with the Zappos service- very sweet- but my next order will probably be a comfy pair of Vans. Giving these shoes to the homeless shelter.

Totally uncomfortable - More attractive in the picture than in person. Bought this shoe to help lower my ecological impact...I am sending it back. Feels like you are wearing bark on your feet. No cushioning, and they squeak when you walk. Nice concept, bad end product

Not quite the same anymore - I owned a pair of these years ago and they were amazingly comfortable and well made and lasted for years. I recently bought another pair as the arch support and looks couldn't be beat. But... since they've started producing them in China they feel cheaper, both in material quality and comfort. Still a great looking sneaker but not the same stellar craftsmanship and quality. They feel like typical Chinese knockoffs.

Ok - They feel half a size too large. The squeaking from the heels is annoying like the other person said.

Wanted to love the shoe. What's with the squeak - I really wanted to love these, but they squeak. It didn't sound like it was coming from the shoe itself. More like it was my socks rubbing against the inside of the shoes. It's really strange. I noticed others had a similar experience. I think I'm going to have to return these.
